  • L'Oreal Paris Vive Pro Color Vive Conditioning Hair Treatment

I use this treatment with the Color Vive shampoo, but use this only once per week. It does have a good smell, not too strong, and it made my hair incredibly soft. I didn't notice any more shine to it, but it does look nice. I suppose it did help my color to not fade, but it didn't help my blonde with the brassiness. I continue to use a purple shampoo for that though. For the price, this is a great deep conditioner and I would gladly use it again and recommend it.

  • L'Oreal Paris Vive Pro Color Vive Shampoo for Color Treated Hair

I thought I would give this a try when my other ran out and this had a better price. Loreal products are good so I didn't expect this to be any different. It made my hair soft and worked well with the conditioner. It has a nice smell and it's lasted me a long time too. I didn't find that it made my hair shiny however, and maybe it did prolong my color but to keep my highlights from getting brassy I use a purple shampoo. I don't feel that this shampoo can do that. But at this price I can use both shampoos if I need to.

  • L'Oreal Paris Colour Riche Lipcolour

This is one of my all-time favorite lipsticks. Creamy, smooth and long-lasting. It comes in many great colors and you can't beat the price. My only complaint is that they don't have my fav color anymore, "Saucy Mauve". I can' t find it anywhere and that pink looked so good with my compexion. I've been holding on to the last little bit in my tube until I find another color that was as perfect for me. Luckily they make so many colors to choose from, I'm sure I'll find one soon. :)

    Sebastian Whipped Creme

    Great for Straight Styles too!

My hair is pretty fine and 98 percent straight but I have this annoying little wave that I have to blow out. I thought I might use this product to go with the flow, so to speak, and bring out the wave. But then I decided to see if it would work like my mousse, with my blow dryer and round brush. I used it just like it said (on damp hair) and I only used a small amount because I have a chin-length bob. Then I dried it like usual with my round brush and it gave my hair volume and did not weigh it down. The creme is very light and fluffy and not sticky at all. I am impressed with this product and will continue to use it in place of my mousse. I have to admit, I didn't think this product was going to work well for me. My husband says my hair looks great and I agree with him! The only thing I don't like is that it has mineral oil and petrolatum in it but it doesn't seem to have affected my hair in a bad way.

  • Olay Regenerist Night Recovery Cream

I wanted to like this night cream so badly. I thought that the fragrance was too strong and then it made me break out. My skin is not oily and I do not break out often. I didn't get to use it long enough to find out if it would have helped my skin in other ways. Although at the time I tried it (over a year ago) I didn't really need a cream for wrinkles, I just thought the hydration would be good, but this was a little too thick for me. But I will try other Regenerist products because I love Olay and their products usually work well for me---just not this one! Back to the drawing board. :)

  • Olay Regenerist Regenerating Cream Cleanser

I have been using this cleanser for over a year now and I love it!! I use this and Olay's Gentle Foaming Cleanser because I don't use this one every day, but I'm sure I could. This cleanser is not harsh at all and makes my skin look and feel radiant. This is absolutely my go to product so I hope they don't discontinue it for ANY reason!! When I put it in the shower my husband uses it too and he loves it as well. It's got a great smell-- not strong or perfumy. I'm going to try more Regenerist products because I am starting to need them now. I'm glad they're available and Olay is so reliable.

  • Garnier Fructis Style XXL Volume Thickening Mousse

I don't know if this mousse thickens my hair, but it does seem to give it volume. My hair is pretty fine and it does help that I got it cut into a style that gives it more volume as well. But I do like this mousse because it's not sticky and doesn't weigh my hair down. And it's a good price. I don't love the smell but I'll keep using it for now anyway.

  • Garnier Fructis Style Sleek & Shine Anti-Humidity Smoothing Milk

Garnier Fructis Style Sleek & Shine Anti-Humidity Smoothing Milk

Sleek and Shine Anti-Humidity Smoothing Milk

My hair is not frizzy but the humidity in TX does take a toll on my dry, color-treated hair. At first I didn't think this product was working on my hair but then I realised I wasn't using it right!! Now I use just a nickel size amount on my damp, chin-length hair. I apply it only to the ends and half way up. Then I blow dry with my brush and it comes out great. It's soft and silky and doesn't weigh my hair down or make it greasy. It also seems to last all day even through the worst humidity. The smell is nice too; it's light. I use this every time I shampoo. The more I use of their products, the more I am sold on Garnier.

  • Garnier HerbaShine Color Creme

    Garnier HerbaShine Color Creme

    Excellent, Nourishing Hair Color

After trying a couple other brands recently that made my blonde hair brassy, I decided to try Garnier's Champagne Blonde shade, which is a cooler blonde shade. I am really happy with the results. My hair is definitely not brassy and it doesn't feel dried out and damaged either. I think the almond oil is a great addition to the package--it really makes your hair soft. I also think my hair smells nice and not chemically at all. I will use this again, it is such a bargain. And here's an FYI in case you need it: as far as keeping my color longer and truer to the shade, I either use a shampoo and conditioner that are meant for blonde shades or ones that are purple, such as Joico's or Pantene's for gray hair because it's also purple. They are meant to keep blondes form getting brassy and they work!!

  • Yves Saint Laurent Beauty Parisienne Eau de Parfum Spray

I tried a sample of this perfume and for me it is the perfect example of why I am glad they offer samples! Admittedly, I am not a fan of rose scents (except REAL roses) but when it said it contains sandlewood, which I love, I thought I may like it. I was wrong! I also want to point out here that sandlewood and patchouli are not the same thing (and this perfume does NOT have patchouli in it, like a couple girls mistakenly said). First of all, I don't even detect sandlewood in it. All I can smell is a very overpowering old rose scent that never toned down on my skin. I left it on hoping it would chill out a bit and maybe get better, but it did not. I think it's actually the vetiver that messes things up here, as I have experimented on my own with essential oils. I read somewhere that this perfume is meant to evoke, "the morning after a love affair", which in Paris is a glorious thing, unlike it is here in the States. However, I find nothing lovely about this perfume and I think it is better suited to an old lady, or as one girl superbly put it, "an old woman who smokes cigarettes and wears too much jewelry and furs". That's funny- you can almost picture it! :)
