  • CoverGirl SmokyShadowBlast

Looks too good to be true.. and it is. The colors are pretty, and it is fairly easy to apply- but it creases in a second! I tried it with a primer, but the colors looked more washed out rather than more vibrant, and it still smudged like crazy. Has a more greasy feel than other cream shadows, and eventually starts to melt down your face. Sorry CG, but I'll pass.

  • Aussie Moist 3 Minute Miracle Deeeeep Conditioner

Leaves hair soft, silky, renewed. Hair looks super moisturized, and it feeeels amazing! My hair behaves much better, and frizzies are tamed! It may be a bit heavy for everyday (unless you have very damaged hair), but for the price, you MUST try it. You won't be disappointed.

St. Ives Fresh Skin Apricot Scrub

Great for body, harsh for face

I have used this stuff since my teen years, and although I still love it and use it weekly, I have downgraded it to a body-only scrub. It works well to cleanse and exfoliate, but it is MUCH too harsh to use on the face, especially regularly. Also, I, too, have experienced the broken capillaries on my cheeks that come with frequent use, so use with caution!

  • TRESemme Flawless Curls Extra Hold Mousse

Tried this on my naturally wavy (read: totally erratically wavy) hair hoping it would help define and tame my waves. It didn't really tame anything, and left a sticky film on my hair. It seems to work well for curly girls, but despite avoiding the crunchyness of many stylers, it doesn't leave hair very touchable.

  • John Frieda Frizz-Ease Secret Weapon Flawless Finishing Creme

I don't use this everyday, but as more of an "emergency frizz fighter." On particularly humid days, I refresh and restyle by smoothing a little secret weapon on to get that freshly blown out look. It works well, but seems to weight hair down a bit, so I try to use it only when I really need a fast fix.

  • John Frieda Weather Works Weather-Proofing Style Sealant Creme

I honestly did not see a difference when using this product. I am generally a fan of John Frieda and tried this product per recommendation of a friend, but my hair was no more protected from the humidity than without product, and it feels a little greasy. I've given it many chances, but I'm always let down. There are much better products out there that boast similar claims; don't wast your money on this one.

  • TIGI Bed Head Spoil Me

    TIGI Bed Head Spoil Me

    Lives up to claims

At first I was skeptical that this product could be so versatile, yet so effective, but I must say it lives up to its (many) claims! Can be used on wet/damp hair before heat styling to decrease frizz and protect from heat. Leaves hair smooth and smelling great. It can also be used as a flat iron spray, again cutting back on frizz and smoothing the cuticle. When used on dry hair (freshly dried OR 2nd day), it can vamp up hair, smoothing and refreshing. As others have said, it is an investment at first, but the amount of product you get for the price is well worth it.

  • TIGI Bed Head Small Talk
    10.0

    TIGI Bed Head Small Talk

    I'm a believer

Great for pumping up lifeless hair. A little on the pricey side for my liking, but well worth it. I use it after every wash before blow drying for control and volume. A pea sized amount will do, making it last a long time. Rub between palms and then apply all over, and don't be afraid to get into the roots! Leaves hair soft, yet volumized, with a slight, touchable hold. Some complain about the smell, but the strong scent right out of the pump quickly dissipates, leaving hair smelling "good, fruity, but not like grape bubble gum," (according to boyfriend).

  • Aquaphor Healing Ointment

I originally bought this as after-care to heal my tattoos, but since have used it for all sorts of things. It is great as a deep moisturizer at night, but it is also great for protecting and healing cuts and minor burns. It is also my default lip moisturizer to protect or heal wind/sun/winter damage. A great multi-purpose product that never fails me.

  • St. Ives Oatmeal & Shea Butter Body Wash

Very moisturizing and non-irritating. Keeps my skin smooth and soft year round, but especially during the dry winter season. Skin always feels clean, but never tight or filmy. I usually buy two or three at a time so I am never without it!
