    Works Great Even With Acrylics

This is an amazing tool to have on hand. With three interchangeable tips, you can cut, file, and shape your nails any way you wish. Battery operated, and so easy to use.

Yves Saint Laurent Beauty Parisienne Eau de Parfum Spray

Interesting but Not My Typical Scent

What keeps me going back to it is the hidden temptation of the violet. I've always loved violet fragrances, although I find most of them unwearable. While I've never been a fan of large florals myself, this one is intriguing. I find myself searching for that violet. Occasionally I get a sniff of it, and it keeps me coming back for more. However, it's not a scent I'd wear often, as I am not a floral person. I also prefer deep complexity in my fragrances, and while Parisenne is interesting, it's not complex.

  • John Frieda Luxurious Volume Extra Hold Hairspray

This spray does an excellent job of actually holding at the root without being overly sticky and dry. Unlike ye olde hairsprays of the past, it doesn't flake or make a huge mess, it's just a good, solid spray that does what it claims even in my crazy Virginia Beach humidity. If you like big hair, you won't want to miss this one.

Fun New Spiky Ball Delivers Results

This has become one of my go-to mascaras. While the applicator certainly had a learning curve, after a few tries I completely got the hang of it, and was able to reach lashes that were previously unreachable. The formula is really good also - stays put with no smearing, smudging, or flaking by the end of the day. Gives a good deal of volume and dare I say it - curl with little to no effort. Well worth the $10.

  • Exuviance Moisturizing Antibacterial Facial Cleanser

but it just didn't work for me. Within two days of starting the regimen using this as my cleanser, I suffered from acute breakouts. Since what usually triggers it for me is a lack of exfoliation, I have to assume that this product just wasn't strong enough with the removal of sebum and dead skin cells from my face. I think this would be perfect for those who don't need the exfoliation that I do.

  • L'Oreal Paris Extra-Volume Hydra Collagen Plumping Mascara

All in all, it's a nice, easy to use mascara. It's not bringing anything new or special to the table, but really, is that a bad thing? What good is a cool new wand if you can't use it because it's all gooped up with product? At least this simple wand applied the simple product without a whole lot of fuss. The wear was excellent - no flaking or smudging even though I caught myself rubbing my allergy-ridden eyes a few times.

    Rimmel London Glam Eyes Mascara

Didn't Like It At First, Now It's Graduated to Okay

The brush is one of the newfangled plastic/silicone ones. It's thin and flexible, and you can work it. Normally I like old style spoolie brushes, but this one isn't half bad. Also, the formula is buildable. You can really build up some amazing lashes if you're willing to let each coat dry and be patient. Frankly, I can get better lashes in one coat with my favorite, Diorshow, but if you don't want to spend much money on a drugstore mascara, and don't require super volume, and don't mind the learning curve, then this mascara might be right up your alley.

Standout in the Tousle Me Softly Line

The finishing cream is really the standout product in this line. You can use it on damp hair to add some softness, or on dry hair to smooth frizz. I used it a lot both ways, and it really helped with my constant frizz problem. It's also a great touchup/restyling product for a second day style. Be careful not to use too much - it's in a large jar, and it's easy to just dip your fingers in there and pull out a huge mess of it. A little goes a long way.

Herbal Essences Tousle Me Softly Conditioner

Pairs Perfectly With the Shampoo in This Line

I like this line just because of the smell. It's a lovely violet scent, and I like it. This conditioner is no exception - it continues where the shampoo leaves off. It gives light conditioning and offers heat protection for those of us who heat style our hair. It's not overly heavy, so if you have really dry, damaged, or processed hair you might want something a little more. However, for most of us, this easy-rinse conditioner will do the trick.

A Nice Basic Shampoo That Smells Really Nice

I'm not a huge believer in shampoo helping out your style, so don't buy this hoping to give yourself beach waves - you'll still need to style. However, if you're looking for a shampoo that doesn't cost a fortune, won't strip your color, and smells nice, this is the shampoo for you.
