    Aveeno Skin Relief Moisturizing Lotion

No frills - but that's good!

No bells, whistles, scent or out of reach promises with this lotion but it rocks for taking care of sensitive, dry skin. It keeps my skin soft and actually helps when I do have cases of contact dermatitis.

  • Wet n Wild MegaEyes Shadow Pot

I just purchased several pots of this as one of the local drug stores had them marked for fifty cents a piece as they are redoing the W&W display. I got one in every color that I could, and I am so pleased with how well this shadow works! I never really thought of this brand as having any good products, but I am so glad I was wrong. The color you see in the pot is what goes on your eyes. With a primer, it stood up easily to a full workday without fading, though there was a bit of creasing. The shadows are matte and easily blendable. I also like the fact that when you are swiping the brush across the surface to pick up color that it isn't packed so loosely in the container that half the shadow flies out of the pot with each brush stroke. I like that it takes a bit of pressure to pick up the color so you don't end up wasting more on your counter top than on your eye! Overall, I am happy with how well these little pots perform. I am going to have to see what else W&W has to offer :)

  • CoverGirl & Olay Simply Ageless Corrector

A nice, light concealer that puts in a full day's work of hiding dark circles and other facial imperfections you wish to hide. It worked well over some existing healing T-zone breakouts without settling into or caking up around these areas. Even after a dusting of light powder, there were no worries about these areas looking like an example of how NOT to conceal a breakout. Nor did I have to deal with any further flare-ups, which was a happy bonus. I wore the entire Cover Girl & Olay line the other day when I took my mom for a facial and the estheticians at the salon complemented my on my amazing complexion!

  • Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil

I want this in every color

I cannot believe how easy to apply this eye pencil is! It's so soft it just glides on with absolutely no tugging or skipping. With this consistency you'd think it wouldn't last the day, but you'd be wrong. It lasts for several hours yet comes off easily with makeup remover. I got one of the blues and the gold to add a little touch of color to my normally dark eye liners. Though they are bright, the colors are very wearable without looking freaky.

    Shiseido Eyelash Curler

    Well worth the cost

Don't spend five bucks on a curler that won't reach every lash, pinch your eyelid, or fall apart after only a couple months of use. This eyelash curler is nothing short of amazing. It gets even the smallest lashes in the corners of your eyes without any pinching, pulling or tugging. It never fails to get in close to deliver great curl and lift for lashes. It's also easy to clean and replace the pads.

  • Olay Pro-X Advanced Cleansing System

For 1/10 the price this brush works just as well as the famed Clarisonic. I do wish they had additional types of brushes like Clarisonic offers, but the ones they do offer are very nice. I love that there is no rechargable battery or plug in cord with this. I am able to use our regular (and rechargeable) AA Energizer batteries. I thought for the price it wouldn't hurt to try this new brush from Olay, and I am never going back! I can use any cleanser I like with this, and the brushes are easily and cheaply replaced every three months. I even got one for my husband and it has drastically cut down on ingrown hairs on his neck and chin from shaving every day. If you have ever considered a Clarisonic but balked at the price, this Olay brush is an amazing deal for $20.00 at your local Target.

    mark Glowdacious Illuminating Powder

    Surprisingly wonderful!

I received this as part of a prize pack, and was a bit apprehensive about trying it. I'm not a big bronzer fan, as many out there are way too dark for me. So it ends up being a real adventure to find one that looks remotely natural. I have to admit, this one I received (in "Shimmered Up" I think), was a really nice surprise. Not only was it natural looking, it wasn't as shimmery as the name implied. It was also a breeze to blend. I love the bullseye design, and it's easy to only pick up the color(s) you want, or blend all three. I hope that this one sticks around mark for awhile, as this will be a definite future purchase for me.

  • Revlon Doubletwist Volumizing Mascara

    Revlon Doubletwist Volumizing Mascara

Horrible doesn't begin to cover it

Ugh! Talk about a disappointment. Further proof that Revlon doctors up their ads is this little disaster in a tube. No matter how I angled the brush, this mascra just would not apply to my lashes. Maybe it's the design of the brush, but I was barely able to put on this product. Part of that was because the brush is painfull to use - the crazy bristles end up poking into the eyelid. What did adhere promptly melted off - and I tried the waterproof version. Mascara has to be my favorite beauty product to try, and out of the dozens and dozens that have crossed my bathroom counter, this has got to be THE WORST.

    Perky and pretty

This didn't turn out like I thought it would. Maybe it's because of my really fair skin, but it seems to give my skin more shimmer than brightening. As long as I combine it with a little tiny dusting of Hoola, it seems to do a much better job. The shimmer is toned down and my complexion is really perked up. Others that mention this works great as a blush are right. It's a perfect shade for the workplace. No worries about going overboard with this. And it has such a nice scent! I would love it if Benefit were to make a purse sized version of this.

    Benefit Posietint

    Perfect pink

This will give any fair skinned gal the perfect shade of pink cheeks. It does look a bit hot pinkish just out of the bottle, but after blending it becomes a much subtler pink. Works well with a light bronzer in the summertime to give cheeks that been outside all day look. If you are looking for something bolder or have a darker skin tone, Benetint would be your best bet.
