  • Pantene Pro-V Restore Beautiful Lengths Frizz Control Conditioner

I have super, super thick, dry, spiral permed hair and have been searching for the right conditioner for years. I finally found it (and if they discontinue like the Texturize! line will be devistated!). This is the most amazing conditioner for dry, curly hair. It is very thick so you do not have to use a ton of it and make sure you rinse it all the way out or it will build up. I do not use the shampoo with it, the combo is to heavy and not only weighs down my hair but causes a lot of quick build up. Instead I've been using Herbal Essensces Hydralicious Volumizing shampoo and the combo is perfect for my hair. It is now shiny, silky and (close to) frizz free. In FL summer heat/humidity I don't think I can be completely frizz free, but this gets me really close! Tip for curly girls: Try Cristophe Beverly Hills anti-frizz Serum (not sure of exact name but it's his only serum). It is specifically for curly, thick, course hair and it works wonders! There is no Cristophe catagory here so I couldn't review it. It is better than Frizz-Ease & BioSilk, have used both for years

  • Josie Maran 100% Pure Argan Oil

I'm in love with Argan Oil but I'm not convinced that the Josie Maran line is the best to use. It's very expensive compared to others I've found in my local health food store. I know that this one is 100% pure, but I used another brand that (gasp) had chemicals first and it seemed to work better for my skin! I tried a little sample of another brand and after two days my acne was gone. I used it for about 2 weeks while waiting on my local Sephora to stock the .5 oz bottle ($15 instead of $48). Now that I'm using the Josie Maran brand my face is breaking out! I'm going to try it for another week and if my skin is still not as clear as with the other brand I'm going to return this to Sephora and buy the other one. It's weird at first to put oil on oily skin, but there has been such a huge difference in my skin that I can't live without argan oil! Not only is it helping my acne, it also imparts a nice glow and really moisturizes.

  • Neutrogena SkinClearing Liquid Makeup

I've been using this for a few weeks now and so far I like it, but the coverage does fade as the days goes on. It also does not help reduce shine, but a good shine reducing pressed powder takes care of that. What I like is that a few nights I've been too lazy to take my makeup off and I haven't had any extra breakouts! Most foundations make me break out terribly, but this one seems to help much more than most. The colors seem to be good for neutral and yellow undertones, but not for pink undertones. I recommend this for acne prone skin.

  • Burt's Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream

Heals and sooths the cracks and splits in my cuticles. Great during winter when they tend to peel and bleed, it keeps them nice and moisterized. I smooth this cream around my entire nail bed and fingertips before bed. It soaks in quickly. Smells so good, like lemon cookies! Doubles as an eyebrow wax!

  • Too Faced Shadow Insurance Anti-Crease Eye Shadow Primer

It's shadow and eyeliner insurance. I wear this and nothing budges. No creasing, No running, No racoon eyes. One little tiny dot on each eyelid is all you need so the tube lasts 5-6 mons. I bought this on a recommedation from one of the girls at Sephora and it's one of the best beauty purchases I've made in awhile.

  • Chanel Exceptionnel De Chanel Intense Volume and Curl Mascara

Really like this mascara, delivers intense volume and curl as promised. No clumps, no flakes and a cool little brush that coats each and every lash. The revolutionary brush design makes it easy to get close to the root of the lash and to catch the fine baby lashes in the corners. I haven't had any problem with smudging or running under my eyes, either. Chanel has done it again

  • Origins Organics Purifying Tonic
    8.0

    Origins Organics Purifying Tonic

    Great Organic Product

I received this in a GWP bonus with the Organics cleanser and moisterizer and I have to say the toner was the only item I liked. It is very refreshing, especially in the summer and helped to control oil production. It effectively removed the makeup residue that the Organics cleanser had left behind, didn't burn or sting and didn't leave skin feeling dry or tight. It has a nice, light herbal scent that most people would find appealing. Overall a great organic toner good for combination skin, though I prefer Origins Oil Refiner for my oily skin.

  • Origins Oil Refiner Skin Purifying Tonic

I purchased this product on the recommedation of the Origins consultant and it's one of the best skin care purchases I've ever made. This toner keeps my oily skin matte all day. It is light and so refreshing. It tingles when applied, but doesn't burn or make skin feel tight like other toners I've used. It deep cleans, I use a strong, acne fighting cleanser, but I didn't realize how much makeup residue was being left on my skin until I started using the toner. It not only soaks up oil but helps balance oil production and seems to calm minor breakouts. Overall, this is a fantastic toner and I highly recommed to anyone with oily, acne prone skin.

  • Origins Organics Foaming Face Wash
    4.0

    Origins Organics Foaming Face Wash

Nice, but not a deep clean

I received this cleanser in a bonus set that included the toner and moiserizer. The cleanser was nice and light, did not dry my skin and left it feeling refreshed, but it left a lot of makeup behind, not just mascara. I liked that it is certified organic, but the scent might turn some people off. I liked it, but it smells organic, if you know what I mean! I love Origins products and wanted so much to love this one, but I didn't even use the entire sample. If you are looking for a deep clean, I would skip this one and try Checks and Balances or the mint wash instead.

  • Mary Kay MK Signature Eye Color

I am constantly buying eyeshadow and MK Signature is one of my faves. These little shadows pack a powerful color punch. I wet an angled eyeshadow brush and dip it in the darker colors to use as a liner. Using dry will gives a soft wash of color that you can layer to your hearts desire. There's a great range of colors and though small, they last forever. They're realitively inexpensive, good alternative if you don't like to wear drug-store brands but are feeling the crunch of our current economy.
