  • Garnier Ultra-Lift Intensive Gravity Defying Cream

I purchased this when I had a $2 off coupon, and it was on sale at Walgreens. Having lost some weight, I noticed some slack skin on my neck, and I bought this cream just to use on under my chin and on my neck. I only used it a few times because I couldn't get past the sandy texture. I assume it's some kind of powder that, when the cream dries, provides the lifting effect. This is also heavily fragranced, which I don't like. Since the jar is still full, I'm going to try to give it away. Good thing I didn't spend too much on this. I haven't had much luck with Garnier products. Going to stick with my standbys - Clinique and MD Forte.

  • Dior DiorShow Extase Mascara

    Dior DiorShow Extase Mascara

Terrible - smudges like nothing else

I received a deluxe sample of this and couldn't wait to try it. Good thing I didn't shell out $28 for the full size version. When I put it on, it added some length and volume. It looked nice, but not spectacular. Went out for dinner with with the hubby and when we got home, I looked in the mirror and was horrified. I looked liked I'd been punched in both eyes! I had huge back smudges under both eyes. I have better results with my cheap-o Cover Girl Lash Blast Volume Waterproof (in the orange tube). That mascara adds volume and doesn't budge until I remove it with Lancome's Bi-Facil. Dior Extase was a disaster for me. I tossed it in the trash.

  • Clinique Repairwear Laser Focus Wrinkle & UV Damage Corrector

I received a sample of this when I purchased the Even Better SPF 20 Cream. It's a 1/2 ounce bottle, whereas the full-sized version, which I just purchased, is a full ounce. This is a lightweight serum that I use morning and night. I put this on first, then the Even Better Clinical Serum. During the day, I follow with the Even Better SPF Cream, and at night, Clinique's Super Rescue Antioxidant Night Cream (oily skin version). So far, I've seen positive results. My acne scars are fading and my skin looks brighter. This product, as far as I can tell, has caused no breakouts. I am going to continue this routine since I'm already seeing results.

  • RoC RETINOL CORREXION Eye Cream
    8.0

    RoC RETINOL CORREXION Eye Cream

    Moisturizing, doesn't irritate

I use the CVS generic version of this eye cream. The ingredient list is nearly identical, and it's several dollars cheaper. I find this to be moisturizing and so far, the retinol has not caused any irritation. I slather on a thick layer each night and it soaks in easily. I've had a hard time finding eye creams that don't burn my eyes, and this fit the bill. I don't have crow's feet or serious wrinkles yet. I'm 37, and just starting to get a crepe-y look under my eyes, and have some dark circles. Hoping that continued use of this cream, along with an SPF 32 eye cream from Shiseido during the day, will help improve the dark circles, prevent wrinkles, and improve the skin tone under my eyes.

  • MD Forte Glycare Cleansing Gel

I purchased this after a series of horrible breakouts. I lost some weight, which sent my hormones into overdrive, and my reward was adult acne. This cleanser cuts through oil, but doesn't overdry my skin. I rotate this with the Facial Cleanser III, which is a creamy cleanser with a higher concentration of glycolic acid. My husband, who has oily skin, also loves this cleanser. We're very happy with it and always stock up when it's on sale. We have a few spare bottles in our bathroom closet because we never want to be without this cleanser. Be sure to comparison shop - I usually find this cleanser for 20 - 25% off, and that's from reputable sellers.

  • MD Forte Facial Lotion II
    10.0

    MD Forte Facial Lotion II

    Helps keep skin looking great

This isn't a lotion, it's more of a serum. It's very watery and soaks in immediately. I've had the same bottle for months. I don't use it twice a day, just a few times a week. My skin gets irritated if I use it twice a day. It still does its job, though, even using it less than suggested. I use this in conjunction with the Glycare Cleansing Gel, Facial Cleanser III, and Replenish Cream. It's helped keep breakouts away, clear up some acne scars and lighten hyperpigmentation from years of unprotected sun exposure.

  • MD Forte Replenish Hydrating Cream
    9.0

    MD Forte Replenish Hydrating Cream

    Works well, very soothing

I use this cream year round - in the spring/summer when my skin is oily, and in winter/fall when it's dry. It's not too heavy and soaks in easily. It's also great when my skin is irritated - either from use of AHAs, like MD Forte's glycolic lotions, or retin-A. It's a little expensive, and I wish it wasn't in jar packaging, but a little goes a long way. Each tub lasts me about six months.
