    Clinique Powder Brush

    Not impressed.

I got this as a gift set from Clinique and I was excited since it was my first powder brush. I worked well for a little while, but then it started to feel too bristle-y and rough on my cheeks. The application is also not so great. I have to dip it into product several times for the product to show on my cheeks. I used it for my powder blushes and bronzers, so I used it often, but I was always a little annoyed because it irritated my skin. I felt like washing it would make it softer and perhaps revitalize it, but it always feels the same. I'm glad I got it for free because this brush is pretty expensive so I would've been upset if I paid for an irritating application everytime I used this powder brush. Overall, I would not recommend this brush. I'd probably search for something much softer, especially if it is going to be used for powder blushes and bronzers.

  • Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion

I originally received this moisturizing lotion in a gift set at Macy's for buying a certain amount of their products. I tried it and I have to say, I was impressed. I'd been recently experiencing dryness around my lip area and I think after using this moisturizer for a couple weeks it fixed the problem! I was told by other people that the lotion had harmful chemicals and will make your skin breakout, but I've never had problems with it. My skin type can be a little sensitive sometimes too. It's a good product and I trust the brand. I think I’ll buy a full-sized version once my travel sized one finished. It is part a three step system that Clinique has, however, I didn’t use it with the system, I just used the moisturizer alone and it worked very well. I’d probably recommend this for anyone experiencing facial dryness.

  • C.O. Bigelow Rose Salve
    10.0

    C.O. Bigelow Rose Salve

Love this. Everyone should own a tin.

I first bought this at Bath & Body works because I wasn't familiar with what rose salve was but the tin was super cute. I tried it on and it worked like a charm! It's better than most chapsticks or other forms of lip balms that I've tried. I feel like it really soaks into my lips and moisturizes. The wonderful rose scent is an added plus. I like to use it typically by itself when I need a little gloss, but I also wear it underneath lipstick. It helps the application go smoother and it protects my lips from the dehydrating lipsticks I own. These tins are very cheap for the benefits they provide you with. You can also use them on your knees, elbows, or any dry spot really. Definitely try it! I'd recommend it to any friend and these tins last you a long time. I give this product an A++

  • e.l.f. Studio Eyebrow Kit

I recently had my brows waxed at a new salon. They were rushing to get people in and out and did not listen to me when I told them I did NOT want them thin by any means of interpretation. They came out thin AND uneven. This ruined my whole day. Looking for a kit to fix the thin and unevenness, I read reviews claiming ELF's brow kit was pretty good. After purchasing, I can say I'm not disappointed. The kit not only fixed the uneven appearance of my brows and made them look thicker, but it also made them look natural. The gel provided color gradually, enabling you to build thickness onto your brows little by little. Once I got them at just the shade/thickness I wanted, I used the powder to set everything. They look great, natural, and lasted all day. I didn't have to reapply the gel or the powder once. And the best part? IT WAS ONLY $3. How can such a great product be sold so cheap? I don't know, but I'm a big ELF fan and this is my new go-to product for brows. It comes with a double sided applicator. One side is an angled brush for applying the gel and the other side is a rounded brush for the setting powder. The kit also comes it a mirror in the compact, making it perfect for keeping it in your purse or traveling. The shades are pretty universal. I grabbed a “medium” compact because they were out of stock of other shades at the store I was in. I have jet black hair, so I was worried the gel/powder would be too light and would make my brows look fake, but the medium shade worked just fine. Overall, at $3, this product is an absolute steal.

  • Sephora Lengthening Mascara

I use this product everyday and it's never failed me. It lengthens without the clumps, flakes or mess! It also applies a modest amount everytime, so I can gradually make my lashes casual for work or more dramatic to go out if I choose.

  • The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil Facial Wash

As soon as you apply it, it gives your face a fresh tingly feeling. A few times I found the minty smell a bit overwhelming (maybe I just put too much on sometimes). Anyways, I use it whenever I'm in a rush for class or work and I need to quickly revive my face, which tends to be oily in the mornings. The cleanser is ideal when you're tight on time because it washes off very easily and isn't an oily type of cleanser either, so it doesn't give you a hard time when you're trying to take it off. The cleanser removes the oil and the tingle wakes me up. I also have roseacea and the cleanser seems to calm it down. While you can still see the roseacea, it becomes a much lighter shade, almost baby pink. The facial wash also keeps blemishes at bay and does not make me breakout like many cleansers I've tried do. It's a gentle gel, so It is ideal for people with sensitive skin. I would definitely recommend it to a friend.

  • Lancôme Effacernes Waterproof Protective Undereye Concealer

This stuff works like a charm. It conceals and blending into my skin without ever settling in creases. Every little blemish just disappears. I love using it after I pull my college all-nighters and look a tired mess the next morning. A couple dabs and I look wide awake! It is expensive for a small tube, but it lasts for a really long time, you don't have to use much to see the BIG difference it makes. Personally, I save it for beach days since it is waterproof. Whether I go for a swim or not, this concealer lasts all day. Will definitely buy again. I'm hooked!!
