  • Estée Lauder DayWear BB Anti-Oxidant Beauty Benefit Creme SPF 35

I’m just going to cut down to the chase on this one: it's the best BB ever. It blends easily and lasts all day long. No primer necessary! I just use it on trouble spots, but occasionally, I’ll use it on most of my face for a flawless look. It doesn’t cake up, so I never have a hard time making it look like my skin is naturally this perfect (ha!). It evens skintone and has an spf of 35 so it does a decent job of protecting you form the sun. It gives a medium coverage, but I do believe it’s buildable. You can also thin it out by using a little bit of product on a large area for sheer coverage. Personally, when it comes to coverage, i’m looking for different types on different occasions and this one has been my go-to product for all of them. Despite how well it works and its versatility in coverage, my favorite thing about this bb cream is the smell, which is light and flowery. Love it. It lasts you forever too. I still haven’t finished my sample. The full-sized product I bought hasn’t been opened yet!

  • The Body Shop All-In-One BB Cream
    5.0

The Body Shop All-In-One BB Cream

    It's everything a BB cream shouldn't be.

I tried a sample of the Body Shop's and, well, ugh. I've had pleasant experiences with most BB creams I've tried (Origins, Estee Lauder, etc.) but this one is just disappointing. First of all, the Body Shop store manager was really pushing me to drop $22 on this small tube of product. After telling her for the 15th time ‘I’m not spending that much on something I haven’t tried, she gave me a 'customized' sample. I’m a medium so she gave me the 2nd of the 3 available shades--which was a lot darker than my skin tone. Putting it on my face, I didn't like the consistency. It was really thick and hard to spread around my face. It wasn't smooth, but cakey. It was also heavy. I'm trying to throw in some positives, but I really can't really think of any. I tried to set it with some powder, but I guess it overpowered it and moved around my face, settling in fine lines. I know you're supposed to wear a primer to stop foundation from doing that, but I heard from a lot of people that BB creams don't have to be primed. The others ones I've tried certainly didn't have to be. I try not to be too negative in product reviews, but this one just really sucks. The rest of the sample is going in the trash. I love their matte bronzers though!

  • Nailtini Straight Up Color Nail Lacquer
    8.0

Nailtini Straight Up Color Nail Lacquer

Got This in Mai Tai (a coral-ish color)

I love this nail polish. I think it’s my polish for the summer. It’s a warm, coral-y color, so it’s not super girly (like neon pink) but still feminine. I got this in my monthly Ipsy bag and at first, I was disappointed that I got it because I already have so many polishes and I’d never heard of the Nailtini brand, but this one really takes the cake for my collection of summer colors. It applies smooth, the brush is long and the bristles are wide, so it only takes one and a half sweeps to cover the entire nail, and it’s just quality polish. It lasts long and I haven’t had much issues with it chipping too soon or anything like that. I found that one coat was enough for my nails, so the product will outlast some of my other polishes which require 2+ coats. This is the only Nailtini polish I’ve tried, but if the whole line is as good as this polish, it’s definitely a brand worth trying.

  • CoverGirl Invisible Concealer

    CoverGirl Invisible Concealer

A bit too shiny and sheer for my taste

I think this concealer is a little too light to be a concealer. It's very sheer and doesn't really provide a whole lot of coverage, especially for a 'concealer.' Honestly, I would say it's too sheer to even be considered a foundation (If you choose to only wear one layer of the product). I find that it is buildable, so I usually apply the concealer 3 times to get decent coverage, but even then, it's not perfect. Also, I find that the concealer has a shiny quality to it. Personally, I dislike any kind of shine right now because my skin is oily in the summer, so I wouldn't recommend this to anybody who doesn't want shine under their eyes. It's not the worst concealer in the world...I intend on finishing the tube. It's not expensive. It's under $10, but I won't be repurchasing.

  • Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine Anti-Frizz Serum

I actually really do like this product. It works well. I put it on right after my shower and it keep my hair frizz-free for days...or until I wash my hair again. It's also pretty inexpensive for the quality. The only tip I have for new-users is to not put too much in. I made that mistake once and I ended up with greasy hair all day. It's a good product, I'd recommend it to a friend.

    E.L.F. Kabuki Brushes

    The softest brush I own

I've had this brush for a while and I still can't get over how soft it is. Sometimes I just sit at my vanity and brush it over the back of my hand. Overall, it's a good quality brush. It blends powder well and I have yet to see it shed. For $6, it's a steal. I recommend everyone try this kabuki first before they buy any other. It just might save you a ton of money.

  • MAC 217 Blending Brush

No surprise here, MAC is notorious for making amazing brushes, and this one is no exception. Blending is easy and the bristles are very soft on my eyelids. The tip also blends in the crease color well. This brush makes creating the smokey-eye look easy as pie.

  • Clinique Redness Solutions Makeup SPF15 with Probiotic Technology

Although I'm not an advocate for all that is clinique (I haven't really used a lot of their products nor am I familiar with all of them), this product instilled a lot of trust into the brand. I tried this product randomly at a department store when i got into a conversation with one of the sales associates and they told me they could help with my biggest skin concern: my redness. Since I've been a teenager, I've had roseacea which has made me look as if I caked on blush 24/7. After having to tell people all my life that I’m not wearing any blush, I figured my skin condition was just something I had to get used to. FALSE! I apply a small dab of the product with a q-tip and just like that--it was GONE. I starred in a hand mirror with disbelief. Such a small amount erased my cheek's harsh 10-year rosiness. Obviously I bought the largest size and now use it everyday. It looks natural too, which is a problem I encountered whenever I tried to cover the roseacea with concealer. I also place a little bit of the redness solution around my nostils and they return to match my complexion. It also lasts a long time. A small squirt covers all my redness and lasts the entire day. Even on the few occasions that I’ve forgotten to take my makeup off, I wake up and notice that it’s still kept my redness at bay. This stuff is magical. The proof is undeniable. Without a doubt I recommend this to anybody with redness problems. I’ll buy this again, once I run out, but that won’t be anytime soon or even this year, this product has proved that a little goes a long way.

  • EcoTools Bamboo Powder Brush
    9.0

    EcoTools Bamboo Powder Brush

    My first powder brush

I bought this in a set of 5 other ecotool brushes and I was not disappointed! I've never owned a powder brush before, so I wasn't sure what to expect, but it did the job and it applied the powder effortlessly! It also didn't take a lot of product before I could notice the color on my face. The brush itself is really soft. Sometimes if brushes have bristles which are too stiff or rough, my face can get irritated, but that was never the case with this brush. It leaves a very nice finish when you're done! I would definitely recommend this to a friend.
