    Revlon ColorSilk

    The best buy all around!

Thank goodness for this product! Here in Syracuse, NY, I can find it for $3 an application. Sometimes, a sale will offer 2/$5. And with a coupon? A steal! My old favorite was Nice 'N Easy, but the price does it here for me. Works as well as any other manufacturers I've tried. I color my hair once every 3 weeks and have been blonde since '69! Since my hair is oily, I don't use the enclosed conditioner, but it makes a girlfriend of mine happy, as it's great for permed hair. I have shoulder length hair, and it's just enough product. Viva Colorsilk!!!

    Revlon Nail Enamel

    2 coats will do it

With so many colors, why not buy this one? They last AWA any other. Wait for a sale, use a coupon and you've got a great deal. I've even blended colors and when I got to the bottom and it got sticky, added a drop or more of nail polich remover to thin it out again. I'm the queen of thrift, but I have enough cosmetics til I die. Still...if a product is a favorite, like this one is for me, go for it. Even their "nail support", base coats can be used as polishes. Revlon's a name brand for a reason.

  • Mary Kay TimeWise Repair Eye Renewal Cream

This product, like all Mary Kay products, is top notch! My boyfriend and I both tried it and liked the results. It's a luxurious cream, goes on smoothly, lasts all day--even though it's meant for evening. We liked it as a day-protector from the elements. Our skin was more supple, elastic and evened out. The deeper lines were lessened. We'd use this again.

  • Listerine Total Care Zero Fresh Mint Anticavity Mouthwash

But Walmart makes a copycat mouthwash: very similar. The important thing here is this: My last two dental hygienists and a dental schoool/clinic I go to now for free cleanings all told me the most important thing is: your mouthwash must have flouride AWA your toothpaste. But the simpler, the better. All the extra fancy stuff, like "tartar control" and "Whitening" are not good for the dentin of your teeth and can actually wear it down, AWA the lemon wedges we like so much in our water! Expensive, yes. But, YOUR TEETH are worth it. Don't think twice about taking care of your teeth. Plus, this tastes great.

St. Ives Swiss Vanilla Moisture Therapy Lotion

Why pay more or keep searching?

You found what you're looking for. Do not pass go, do not collect $200. This smells great, is long lasting and luxurious as any other lotion. The Swiss knew what they were doing when they created this. Keep a bottle by the kitchen sink AND bathroom sink. I also like one in my drawer at work--the locked one. Beware: men love this too!

  • Suave Naturals Shampoo

    Suave Naturals Shampoo

    Great value! Great fragrances!

Lots of choices, inc. strawberry and ocean breeze (which has sea algae extract and Vit. C) and Tropical Coconut, a creamier version. I prefer the clears, as my hair is thin and oily. Just bought 2 today at Rite Aid for .77 each. How can you go wrong? I've used this and White Rain/V05 interchangeably. Also use to wash lingerie and delicates. Sure, there MUST be a better quality shampoo, but you'll pay dearly for it, and after all, you do wash it out. Since I wash my hair daily, I need something mild, not heavy and full of chemicals, so this is one of my best choices.

    Neutrogena Facial Cleansing Bar

The proof is in the pudding

I'm 55 and people tell me all the time that I have beautiful, young looking skin with almost no wrinkles. I've used this winning soap since I was 12. It started with a sample they mailed me! You can actually brush your teeth with this, in a pinch, it's so clean and leaves a nice smell to your breath. Mild, natural, high quality, smells fantastic, even pretty6 in the soap dish. Use a washcloth with it and it'll last longer. As a facial soap, it's a good value. But a waste to bath with it.

  • mark On The Edge Hook Up Liquid Eyeliner

Great value, lasts, looks great, add a few drops of water when you get low to extend it. Just make your lines thin! Better not to wear any liner, than thick and smudgy.

  • Estee Lauder DayWear Plus Multi Protection Anti-Oxidant Moisturizer SPF 15 Sheer Tint Release Formula for All Skin Types

Doesn't float my boat. Smells funky and is no better than most moisturizers. Overpriced. You're paying for the name. EL makes lots of great products. This isn't one of them. Just one person's opinion.

  • Maybelline New York Lineworks Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner

Nothing brings out the eyes, like thick lashes and liner. But, with a THIN line. I use this top/bottom lids, mostly at night, but if I want to be seen from afar, liner does it. When it gets low, add a few drops of water and you've stretched your bucks! I'd buy this again. Lasts.
