    Too Faced Lava Gloss

    Goes on Smoothly!

I love this eyeliner. It has the best, smoothest texture. It just glides on so well and stays put all day long. The pencil lasts a really long time too. I don't use it every day, as I also alternate with Urban Decay liners so this one pencil probably has lasted me at least a year or more.

  • Too Faced Absolutely Invisible Candlelight Powder

This powder works well, but I like their other invisible powder slightly better, which is why I gave it 8 stars instead of 9. I actually don't think this is as invisible as it claims to be. I feel like it leaves more of a powdery finish and doesn't blend in quite as well as their other powder.

  • Too Faced Foiled Liner

These liners are awesome. They go on so smoothly and have great staying power. They also last a long time so they are worth the price. They have a nice rich color too.

    Too Faced Naked Eye Palette

    OK, Kinda boring.

I was underwhelmed with this eyeshadow. I generally like Too Faced eye shadows but I found this palette to be kinda boring. It works fine, but just wasn't special.

  • Too Faced Absolutely Invisible Powder

This is a nice, invisible powder that works well when I'm trying to get rid of shine. I don't use powder that often, but I bring this with me when I'm going out to keep the shine on my forehead, especially away.

  • Too Faced Natural Eye Palette

This shadow pairing works fine. It is very neutral, but I just thought it was boring. I guess that is what you get with neutral shadows most of the time, but I just didn't love it. I think you can find just as nice neutral colors at the drugstore.

Be Careful! Unsure of Long-Term Results

This review is updated for two uses. My first attempt, I scratched my cheek and had scabs for four days. Over two weeks later, I still have red marks from those scabs. I think I pressed too hard and my skin might have still not be completed dry (I washed it an hour before hand) because the second time I did it, I had no trouble. Just be careful! I read the manual cover to cover and I watched the full 10 minute video and also practiced on myself, and I still scratched myself with the training disk. After using this product two times, I haven't seen any dramatic changes to my skin. I do think that my skin seems a bit less ruddy and a bit more glowy, but it hasn't been dramatic changes with two uses. I still think its too early to say if this is a good product for long-term changes to my skin, so that is why I am leaving the review at an 8. My full review is below. First Time Impressions: Overall, I was happy with my first attempt, even though I did get minor scratches. I couldn’t have prepared more for using the PMD, so I don’t believe there is anything wrong with the device, I believe I simply have sensitive cheeks and I might have applied too much pressure the first time. I wouldn’t say that I see any improvements in my skin from the first treatment, but I think this is going to be a cumulative thing where I see slight improvements each time, but major improvement will take some time. I could tell that my lotion sunk into my skin better right after the treatment, but other than that, I didn’t really see or feel major changes to my skin with the first treatment. Results of First Treatment the next day: The day after my first treatment, the scratches that I thought were minor were actually pretty obvious. They were painful for the first night. By the third day, the scratches are still very obvious but they are healing and they are surface scratches, not deep scratches. Packaging: The packaging is simple. It includes everything pictured on their website and Totalbeauty website. I wish that the device came with its own storage bag. For the price point, I think it would be great if this came with a little storage case so you don’t have to store it in its original box, which is likely to get bent or damaged over time. Manual/Instructions: The manual/instructions were very easy to read, straightforward and to the point. It explains all aspects of how to use the device, what to expect and how to continue using the device over time. I felt confident after reading the manual that the PMD would be easy to use. Video: After reading the manual, I watched the video on PMD’s website. The CD is also provided in the original packaging. The video was almost 10 minutes long. It was very clear and to the point. It explained everything in great detail, showed how the device works, what it does to your skin and shows a model using the device. The doctor on the video also describes each step at least two times, so it was a bit repetitive. However, I think the repetition is good because it prepares you better to use the product. By the time you are done watching the video and reading the manual, you will have seen/heard the information at least 3-4 times before you use your PMD. I didn’t mind the repetitive nature because I wanted to make sure to use the device correctly and I wanted to make sure I had a good first experience with the machine. I do wish that they would have explained how to use the product on your nose and other parts of the face. I’ll discuss my reasoning in the ‘first time’ section. Preparing to Use: Assembling the PMD was a breeze. All you have to do is plug in the cord, since the first ‘tester disc’ is already in the machine with the cap on tight. Once you remove the plug from its packaging, you just have to plug it into the wall and plug it into the machine and turn to the right a quarter turn. It really is so simple to begin. Practice: As the video and manual suggests, I first tried the device on my neck under my ears. Unfortunately, I wasn’t prepared for the strong suction, so I ended up with a few red marks on my neck that are still stinging, 30 minutes after I finished my first treatment. I don’t think there is major damage to my skin, but the suction was stronger than I expected so I do have some red marks on my neck. The video also showed testing on your arm first, so if I were doing this all over again, I would definitely test on my arm first and then try it on my neck before moving to my face. First Time: Make sure to pull the skin tight and use an upward motion. At first, I didn’t have my skin pulled tight enough and it just doesn’t glide as well on the skin. I only did one pass over my skin because I could tell immediately that the device was working. I started on the right side of my cheek and could see some skin coming up. Unfortunately, I realized after using the device that my cheeks are sensitive and I think I applied too much pressure. I ended up with some mild scratches on my right cheek. It did not hurt while I was doing it and I didn’t realize I had scratched myself until a few minutes after my treatment was over. Once I was done with my face, I applied lotion with SPF and I am still feeling the stinging 30 minutes later. I am not concerned I caused long term damage, but there is mild stinging which just tells me my cheeks are sensitive, I applied too much pressure, and it will probably take me awhile longer to move onto more abrasive disks in the future, which is OK with me. My biggest complaint: This device doesn’t really seem to work on the nose. I tried a couple of times and I didn’t have any luck with getting suction on my nose. I’m not sure if this is normal for this device or just something I was doing wrong. I’m going to call their 1800 number later this week to ask about using this on my nose and forehead. Although I was able to get a little bit of suction and use on my forehead, it didn’t work that well. I couldn’t get any suction on my nose whatsoever. I find this a little disappointing, as I do have the most pores and also some small brown spots on my nose. Warning: Make sure to test the device on your arm first and then on your lower neck, as the video and manual suggest. This device CAN scratch your skin and cause suction marks if you apply too much pressure or don’t glide the device correctly. Cleaning the Machine: The device is so easy to clean. All you have to do is take off the cap by twisting (had to twist rather hard), remove the disk tip (had to pull harder than I expected), and remove the little black disk. Run the disk and the cap under cool water with mild soap and then let air dry. I wasn’t able to get the disk out right away because of the small space, so I used a bobby pin, but it wasn’t a big deal. Overall, very easy to use! Price: This is a very high-priced item. After only one use, I can’t say whether the results are worth the price. I will reassess the price once I have more time to use the product.

  • Too Faced Lash Injection Pin Point

I love this mascara. It works so well for my lashes. After curling them, this mascara makes my lashes miles long and still adds volume. Seriously, when I wear this, people think I have false lashes on! I'm a huge fan of the small brush, it works so well!

    Love Love Love!

One of my favorite eyeshadow duos! I have this in a few colors and I really like them. They are rich colors, long lasting, just the right amount of sparkle/glitter and very flattering colors. I'm a fan! And one pot lasts a very long time.

So Fun For a Night Out!

This product must be used wisely. You can really look a little crazy with glittery eyeliner if you don't be careful, but this is absolutely perfect for a night out! I love the bold, rich colors and the glitter when I'm going out. Easy to use brush too!
