  • Wet n Wild Bronzzer Compact

I must say, I absolutely LOVE this product! I have always used high end department store brands, and with the help of totalbeauty reviewers, I am starting to make the transition to great drug store finds that are more aligned with my budget and just as effective. The bronzer I used before was $30-$35. I actually went to the store to pick up a different bronzer and they were out of stock. I came across this one and just fell in love with the color. I bought Rio Radiance and it is perfect. There is a little bit of shimmer and it is not orangey, muddy, cakey, yellow, or overly brown. For me, it is the perfect color. It has great staying power and has a HINT of red to it, which is great because all natural tans have a touch of redness underneath. I used to have to add a bit of blush over the bronzer - this is a great multi-tasking item. It looks so natural. I have fair skin but I use a self-tanner, and combined with this bronzer, it is the perfect look. On top of that, I got it on sale for only .73! It isn't a bargain if the product doesn't work well, and I can assure you, this one does.

    3M Buf-Puf Gentle Facial Sponge

Good, but a little harsh for me...

This sponge comes in Normal, Gentle and Extra Gentle. I really wish I would have tried the Extra Gentle. When I first touched it with my hands, it felt so soft, I almost thought it was too soft. But on my face it was a different story! It left my skin a little red and I was gentle with it. It seems to work well and I like the concept - I didn't want to add yet another product to my skin regimen, so this was a great idea. I used to use this product about 15 years ago, when I was in my early teens. I had a hard time finding it this time around, and finally found it at Ulta.

  • Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Hard As Wraps

Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Hard As Wraps

    Sally Hansen could do better....

I was really disappointed with this polish. I bought it in clear to use in between manis (I am a girl on a budget) and I thought it was overpriced and not as effective as other polishes. I have to re-do my nails every 5-7 days, really every 5 days but it depends on how much time I have that week! The polish chips and peels on me. For how much more expensive it was than just a regular clear polish, I would hope for 10-14 days of wear, before I would need to re-polish. I would suggest trying other polishes first. It also tends to peel away around the exterior of the nail, which looks bad. At first I thought it was because maybe I was using too much, but it doesn't get like that until days 5-7. The consistency of the polish was good and there was no yellowing. I do wish it would have been shinier though. It is shiny the first day, but it goes dull after day 3 or so. I also noticed that lotion would make the polish dull. Especially if I am applying cuticle cream to my nail bed.

  • TIGI Bed Head Masterpiece Hairspray

This hairspray smells sooooooo good. The best ever! it is a little pricey, but for me, lasts forever. It has a fruity smell and is so uplifting and works really well and has great hold. I like to use it at the roots for volume.

  • Got2b Smooth Operator Smoothing Lustre Lotion

Packaging is super cute and it works so well. Tames flyaways, adds shine and softness, and helps with smoothing and straightening. And to boot, the price is a steal!

  • Aveda Scalp Remedy Dandruff Solution
    5.0

    Aveda Scalp Remedy Dandruff Solution

    The original version was better...

This version just works okay. It should be better considering it is an Aveda product and also a little pricey. The original version was easier to apply - it was more of a serum type of consistency and was applied via dropper. It was easier to control, smelled better and worked better. This version is runny, gets all over the place, smells bad, and doesn't always work. The reason I gave it a 5 is because if you have just a little bit of dandruff or psoriasis, it will probably work, but if your overall scalp is REALLY flaky and dry, it might not. It is a 50/50 chance either way. I find that rubbing olive oil between my hands, then massaging it on my scalp (and sleping with it, rinsing in the morning) is a much cheaper and more effective way to resolve a dry scalp.

  • Aveda Foot Relief

    Aveda Foot Relief

    A 10! Except...

I do LOVE this foot cream. It is rich and luxurious, and smells like a peppermint stick. Yummy! I love Aveda products but some of them are a little out of my price range, and I probably wouldn't spend much for a foot cream, but it is a delicious lotion and I do recommend it.

  • Aveda Hand Relief
    8.0

    Aveda Hand Relief

Good hand cream, but a little stinky!

I have been using Aveda products off and on for years, and even get my hair done at an Aveda Salon/Spa, well, used to anyway! I am used to the smells and some of them, like Shampure, smell so yummy! This isn't one of them, for me anyway. It is a great cream - leaves my hands so very soft and is not greasy, but I used it at home so other people didn't have to smell the fragrance. It is also long lasting and I don't need to apply often at all. Even though it is a great product, I probably wouldn't purchase because of the odor and cost of this product.

  • Soap & Glory Scrub of Your Life Body Scrub
    8.0

Soap & Glory Scrub of Your Life Body Scrub

    Good scrub, but pricey...

I agree with some of the other reviewers - it IS a good scrub, but it costs $15 a bottle, which makes me not use it as much as I probably should. I don't have dry skin, but I do use this once a week because I self-tan. I like the fact that it is not oil based like a lot of other scrubs are - the oily ones can leave residue in the shower and are just messier. This scrub is more like a soap with granules and it rinses really clean and leaves my skin soft and touchable.

  • Clinique Deep Cleansing Emergency Mask

I have been using this mask for a long time. For me, it is a little on the pricey side, but so worth it. It lasts a long time and is great for skin under stress - blackheads, whiteheads, breakouts, acne, oil, large pores, etc. It tingles a little when you apply, but leaves skin so smooth and soft. It has not eliminated my blackheads, but it does keep them at bay.
