Huge bang for the buck!
I bought this because a good friend of mine sells Avon and it was on sale for $2.99 in the catalog. I usually use Lancome Definicils or Chanel Inimitable Mascara. I can't believe it, but I think I actually prefer this Avon mascara. It really defines my lashes. It is truly waterproof, at least after you let it dry. Don't touch it while it's wet! It washes off really easily, so if you do mess up it's very easy to fix. For the price you really can't go wrong with this product. I'm waiting for it to go on sale again and then I'm going to buy a few more. The best thing is, I've been using it for about a week and a half and it's still going strong. These days, it seems like I can use a mascara about 10 times before I start to notice it's drying out. This stuff seems to have a lot of life in one tube. Highly recommended!

I bought this mascara several years ago with high hopes. A friend at work told me it was the most preferred mascara by designers, photographers, models, etc. All I can tell you is, it did nothing for me. I don't think it claims to be waterproof, so telling you that it ran and made me look like a raccoon isn't really fair. But I did have raccoon eyes. I actually have very long lashes. I use mascara for definition and to make my lashes darker. This mascara seemed like it didn't want to stick to my lashes or something. It might be good if your main issue is lack of fullness.

Darker tone than the original?
I have loved Bare Minerals for years. My only problem has been that it doesn't last all day, and I don't have time to reapply. I have oily skin which doesn't help matters. But when I liked best of all was that the "Fair" shade, which is the lightest of all Bare Minerals shades, actually matched my skin tone. I always got tons of compliments on my skin. So, when I went to Ulta recently and saw the new Matte Foundation I bought two of them. I should have tried it on. It doesn't match my skin tone and it makes me look older. It looks like the "Fairly Light" shade of foundation, which is too dark for me. It's extremely hard to find makeup that matches my skin tone. When I go to get my makeup done at any store, they try to put something on me that's too dark or makes me look orange. I have a porcelain complexion with pink undertones. The original Bare Minerals was perfect for me, except it didn't last long on my skin. But I'm going back to it, sadly.

Lots of compliments - very impressed
I used this for the second time in two days yesterday and I have never received so many compliments about my skin. The shade I used was just a shade darker than my natural skin tone. It made me glow. And it lasted all day. I used it on top of my Bare Minerals. Awesome product for $1.00!

Does not dry out my lips
This is probably my favorite lip gloss. I have Gold Rush, and it looks great on top of Amber Glow lipstick. It does not dry out my lips (almost everything else does) and it looks really pretty. It's sparkly without being too sparkly. It feels great on my lips.

For years, since I started wearing mascara at age 12, I have been frustrated because my eyes tend to water and the mascara ends up underneath my eyes after a few hours. I've found a few over the years that last a long time and don't run as much as the others. But this Trish McEvoy is amazing. I had given up ever finding one that would actually last. It actually coats your lashes. It stays on all day, from before I go to work until I go to bed at night. When you wash your face to take it off, it comes off in big clumps. It does not flake during the day. The only thing I don't like is that one bottle doesn't seem to last very long with regular use. It lasts me three to four weeks. It works better than any other mascara I've ever used.

I prefer Bare Minerals
I used Mary Kay's mineral foundation for the first time this morning and I'm disappointed. I think it's probably wonderful for people who have never used mineral foundation before. But I've used Bare Minerals for several years now and Mary Kay does not even compare. Mary Kay's texture is much drier. It does not provide anywhere near the amount of coverage I get with Bare Minerals. Also, I ordered the lightest shade and it still looks darker than I would prefer. Again, if I had never used minerals before I probably wouldn't even know the difference. I'll keep this Mary Kay makeup to use occasionally so I don't run out of Bare Minerals as quickly.

Maybe it's just me?
This waterproof mascara runs on me more than any other mascara I currently own. Someone who sells Mary Kay gave it to me as a gift to use at my wedding and it ran. I thought it was just the stress of the day, so I continued to use it, and it has consistently run on me every day. I end up with mascara under my eyes every single time. Also, I find the wand a little hard to use.

Made me break out
It really did control my oily skin. But it clogged my pores. I broke out with big bumps that were obviously from clogged pores. It wasn't an allergic reaction. Also, before I stopped using it (used for about a week) I noticed that it didn't control my oil all day. I was shiny again after a few hours.

I don't like it
I'm a big Bare Minerals fan but I do not like this product. I bought the lightest shade, but should have bought the clear one because the one I bought is too dark. Also, it comes off on my pillow. Maybe I'm doing something wrong? I've noticed no difference in my skin using this product. For me, it was a big waste of money.
