I already owned the original Venus, so I was happy enough to try the upgrade to the Embrace. WHAT a difference. It definitely gave me a closer shave. I even got my husband to try it so that we could see for certain, since his whiskers grow rather rapidly. His face stayed whisker-free for about TWICE as long as it usually does with the Gillette Mach 3. The gel handle is an excellent design. It's very comfortable to use, and fits in the hand nicely. I'm used to the "hang it in the shower" storage pod, so that was no surprise, but the new storage pod design was nice. The razor is easier to hang and retrieve from the new pod, and it opens and closes easier than the old Venus design. The "moisture bar" on the head felt strange at first, because the head was MUCH larger than I'm used to. However, once I adapted to it, I loved the new feel. I shaved without ANY razor burn, which is an absolute first for me, and no nicking at all. The packaging is a nice touch, too. It's an easy-open package, so you DON'T have to get out a pair of scissors and a blowtorch to open the package. Great job, Gillette! Great, great, GREAT product. I'm a convert, and I'm switching to the Venus Embrace.

Especially their Apricot Scrub for Blackhead control. Great exfoliation, leaves me feeling clean and scrubbed up. Nice smell, good price, very effective at controlling blackheads and acne in general. FANTASTIC scrub.

I've tried a few of the scents on this one, and it works okay if I don't have a terribly active day. If I do, then it lasts an hour or two, and then it gives up. Not terribly impressed by that, especially since it's also not completely "invisible" and I've had it mark a few dark shirts. I have to rotate out of using it, as well, since prolonged use makes me break out in a rash.

Works okay, and better than the myriad of other products I've tried, but it still doesn't really get rid of my breakouts. Just tones them down a little. I still use it, because slightly-tamed breakouts are better than no control whatsoever. For me, it only works in conjunction with a facial scrub and toner. This is the last thing I put on. If I use it by itself, it doesn't really do much at all.

I wasn't impressed by this product. For one thing, I had it on less than half an hour when it started bothering my eyes, so I had to take it off - QUICKLY! However, I'll give them this much - the "tubes" come off rapidly with just warm water, as promised. I did like that feature! However, even though it says it doesn't clump, it surely did, just as much as other mascaras I've used. It also didn't really affect the appearance of my lashes that much - they were slightly darker, but not really any longer or dramatically different in appearance.
