  • Patricia Wexler M.D. Dermatology Fastscription Instant De-Puff Eye Gel

Wonder why they're discontinuing it... I bought 2 more tubes in my panic. This stuff WORKS.

Suave Professionals Keratin Infusion Dry Shampoo

Tried them all, and this one is excellent!

I also received this one in the mail to review, and I am very pleased with it so far. My hair is notoriously oily, and even though I would prefer to wash it every other day, I find myself having to wash it nightly because I can't stand the flat, greasiness of it after 24 hours. Thus, you can understand how extremely obsessed I am with dry shampoos - I've tried Oscar Blandi, Rene Furterer, Fekkai, Victoria's Secret, Garnier Fructise, Bumble & Bumble (both black and white powders). The worst, that did nothing for my hair except weigh it down and make it powdery and strange, was VS, Garnier and (surprisingly) Bumble & Bumble. My favorites are Rene Furterer and Fekkai, and now Suave. Honestly, I am EXTREMELY impressed by how voluminous my hair looks after I spray it in, how the powdery finish disappears after a few shakes, and how well it extends a good hair day to good hair dayS. The only drawback I'd point out is that they overdid it a little with the fragrance - I prefer that my hair smells like shampoo, not like an old lady floral bouquet. That being said, the smell does dissipate after 5 minutes. Gotta love how cheap this is, too. =) I will certainly buy this again.

  • bareMinerals Prime Time Brightening Foundation Primer

Has the same texture and smoothness of award-winning primers like Smashbox and Cover FX, and it is much cheaper as well so that's a plus! However, I liked the cocktail of antioxidants and special care given to my acne-prone skin that Cover FX provides as a dual primer/treatment serum, so I eventually turned to that. If you have normal skin with no special needs, you can't lose with this though.

    Sebastian Microweb Fiber

Great for framing layers around your face, and molding bangs!

I have long layers, which tend to disappear if I air dry like I normally do. This product is wonderful as a texturizer - simply rub a bit into your hands to warm it, and start sliding your fingers down sections of layers, sliding inward towards the face. Instant definition, it makes my 3 month old cut look fabulous and like new. =)

  • Sebastian Whipped Creme

I usually use BB Surf Spray to get my straight-with-body hair into scrunched up "waves", but this is definitely my new favorite toy. Other reviewers are correct - this is a strange mousse/cream, it is EXTREMELY lightweight, and it gives your hair weightless control. I use it by applying it to damp hair, and then scrunching it up with my hands as it air dries, OR using a diffuser and the same scrunching technique. Voila - perfectly natural, beachy waves.

  • Yves Saint Laurent Beauty Parisienne Eau de Parfum Spray

I am typically not a fan of floral scents, because they smell like an old granny. That being said, surprisingly, I like this one very much - I'd definitely wear it out even though its the anti-thesis of my typical citrus/fresh scents. It's description says that it is the empowerment of women - call it exaggerated market hype, but I could have believe it. The scent is unique... It's feminine, strong and yet delicate at the same time, with very complex undernotes of blackberry, rose and sandalwood. It is long-wearing without being overpowering, and definitely turns heads in the subway. I'd say it is the perfume of a mature and sophisticated woman in her 20's or 30's. Love.

  • Ole Henriksen Truth Serum Collagen Booster

While it absorbed right into my skin, it also made me break out. I read somewhere that Vitamin C is hard to stabilize for long periods of time, and I'm guessing Ole Henriken failed with this concoction of his. I much rather prefer Philosophy's Booster Powder to be mixed with my usual moisturizer, than this.

    Benefit Boi-ing

    Not appealing

Despite the rave reviews of random people and media alike, I'd have to say I'm quite disappointed with benefit this time. The concealer was a thick cream that was difficult to spread and blend, and the color variety (3 choices for the whole of the human race) leaves much to be desired. It stays on, but looks quite cakey. I had much better results with Smashbox Camera Ready concealer.

    Fresh Sugar Lemon

    My SIGNATURE scent

Anyone who lives in NY knows the value of personal space, and you can walk by a million people a day in the city without so much as eye contact with any one of them. This is the ONLY perfume I have ever worn that has strangers men and women alike asking me what exactly I am wearing, and where they can get it. This smells so fresh, so light and so clean! I will be wearing this for life!

  • Amazing Cosmetics AmazingConcealer

This concealer is easily the most highly pigmented one of its kind on the market. Literally a drop is all it takes to cover even the darkest spot. Removing 2 stars only because I wasn't able to find a color match. =(
