Here are all my reviews:
  • Philosophy Purity Made Simple 3-in-1 Cleanser for Face and Eyes

A friend recommended this after I decided to make a drastic change in my skin care routine. I needed to change my products due to my recent development of adult acne. This facial wash is the only facial wash that removes ALL of my makeup without leaving a sticky residue or a dry feeling after the wash. I don't even have to use an eye makeup remover to have this completely remove my day. The best part is that I have combination skin that is sensitive and will breakout from almost anything and it gives the perfect balance for a nice clean and refreshed face without causing any breakouts or skin irritation. I've even tried some more expensive brands (Murad) and did not get the same result as this wash. At any rate this keeps my breakouts under control and removes all of my makeup including layers of mascara. I don't think I will use any other wash on my face from here on out. A year after I started using this facial wash and I am still going strong with it. I have tried other washes including aveeno products and products recommended by dermatologist but haven't found one to effectively remove all my make up as I have with this one.

  • Clinique Even Better Clinical Dark Spot Corrector

This product is lacking when it comes to having a noticeable difference in the appearance of my scars. The manager at the Sephora store had rave reviews about this product but after finishing a large bottle I was left wanting more results. The product is extremely overpriced for the results you actually get from one bottle. I feel I could go to the derm and get a prescription for less that amount including the co-pay. It does leave skin feeling soft which is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 1. I used this product day and night as suggested in the instructions and still saw no drastic results as advertised. Maybe perhaps if I spend several hundred dollars on several bottles I will see results but who has that kind of patience? I don't... I do not plan to purchase this product again in the future.

  • CeraVe Facial Moisturizing Lotion AM with SPF 30

This product was recommended by my dermotoligist. I was given a sample of this and the PM version. I do find the PM version more moisturizing but I like the SPF protection in this product. I have used several other daily moisturizers in my morning routine. I tried cetaphil and my face was always left stinging. Some other brands burn my eyelids and others just did nothing for my face but leave a heavy film feeling. It absorbs well on the skin without leaving a greasy look or the white layer that some sunscreen products can leave. Additionally I can use my vitamin E oil underneath this product and it doesn’t cause any negative reactions to my skin. There isn’t a weird or strong overwhelming smell as with some aveeno products. If you have sensitive skin I strongly suggest using this product. It’s very gentle and not to heavy or oily if you have acne prone skin (which I do). I have been using this for several months and have to say that I will be purchasing this product again in the future.

    Revlon ColorStay Nail Enamel

The colors are ok but the top coat is great!

I couldn't find the actual topcoat to review so thought I would review it here. The colors don't necessarily have much lasting power but after I polished my nails I applied the topcoat that a friend had and my polish lasted for an entire week without chipping. There was normal wear around the tips of the nails because I work on a computer all day. However I really enjoyed the lasting power of the polish. I may also need to mention that I did the dishes without any gloves on and the polish still looked good afterward. I will be purchasing my own top coat and using this with my regular nail polishes not just the Revlon brands.

  • Shea Moisture Organic African Black Soap

This didn't provide any kind of special moisture. I didn't even make it through half the bar before I through it in the trash. It's not very moisturizing and made my skin feel really tight after showers.

  • Shea Moisture Raw Shea Butter Reconstructive Elixir

This product tends to just sit on top of my hair when I use it dry. I have better results when I spray it on my damp hair. Website usage on suggest using it as follows... •This intensely moisturizing and penetrating all-natural oil treatment repairs and strengthens hair •After shampooing, dispense serum into your hands and massage into scalp and hair, then rinse thoroughly and style as desired •For deeper conditioning, leave on hair for 5-15 minutes •May be used with a plastic cap and moderate heat •May also be used as a leave-in hair treatment I have been using it for about 2 weeks now and would recommend this for best use on damp or wet natural hair. Doesn't do much on dry or relaxed hair unless you have braids.

  • Shea Moisture Raw Shea Butter Moisture Retention Shampoo

Shea Moisture Raw Shea Butter Moisture Retention Shampoo you saved my life! I cut off all my hair back in 2010 in an effort of getting rid of harsh chemical procedures and damaged hair and to restore my self esteem. I hated my hair for while before doing the big chop. Afterwards everything was great! I had short hair an easy routine and spent less money on styling and products. Eventually some of the “natural” things I was using on my hair started to contribute to my adult acne breakouts and there goes a piece of my self esteem again. Eventually after spending countless dollars on products and hours at the salon I tried to find a less expensive alternative. I started to grow my hair out and low and behold more damage to the pockets on the expensive natural products that worked. Right around May of this year a friend recommended that I try Shea moisture products from Target. So I took myself and my hair to good old Target to see what these products were about. I read the reviews here first of course but I was still a little concerned that this would not give me the results I was hoping for. I have really curly hair that gets really tight, brittle and dry if it is not moisturized properly. So the first week I tried the product my hair was very happy with me. I then started using it in conjunction with other products from the line and they work best as a team I strongly recommend this product especially for curly hair. It not only moisturizes but there isn’t anything in it that triggers negative reactions to my skin. Along with this I recommend the conditioner and styling pudding as well. Although the shampoo is good on it’s on the other prodcucts add to the effectiveness of the shampoo.

  • Carol's Daughter Healthy Hair Butter

This is just an ok product. For what you pay for you it you would be better off using a less expensive item like EVOO or coconut oil from your grocery store. Don't waste your money. The prodcut doesn't have the best odor either.

  • GiGi No Bump RX Body Treatment

I was blessed (doomed) with very curly and coily hair. But not just on my head… It would have been great to have thick eyelashes or or just hair on top of my head but no…it’s generally really thick and curly in unwanted places so when I would shave, pluck, or use hair removing products my skin would have a fit once the hair started to grow back. I discovered this product a couple years ago. I have to say that I have been a consistent user of it ever since. Nothing has worked better. I think more recently they have changed the formula a little bit but it still seems to do the job I need it for. One bottle lasts me for about a year. The product still gives a little sting but nothing to crazy. It is certainly much less stinging than the feel of rubbing alcohol on an open wound. When I ran out of this product my hair bumps started going bananas! I use it with a cotton ball or swab to prevent my skin from becoming very irritated and inflamed with hair bumps. I generally use this before and several days after I do my hair removals. I use this on my bikini line but would strongly discourage anyone from using it any closer to more sensitive areas. I also strongly recommend using gloves to protect hands and nails especially if you have manicured hands. Additionally after use I suggest using a light moisturizer to offset any skin drying. There is a stinging feeling if you use it immediately after waxing, or using hair removal creams. This product does what it was made for and prevents hair bumps where I get them most. If you use it the right way I am sure you will be pleased with the results as well. I have less skin irritation and a much smoother bikini line longer.

  • Buxom Lash Mascara

    Buxom Lash Mascara

    I like this mascara

I am not sure which I like best the brush or the Mascara. My friend had this and I had to try it and see what the fuss was about. I have to say that it went on smoothly and defined my scarce lashes. I felt like I was wearing false lashes without the falsies or flaking that some mascaras have. I still have a hard time parting with my mullah for mascara since it is supposed to be replaced every six weeks but if I decide to purchase some more than my normal $8 mascara I will be purchasing this one.
