Developlus Color Oops Hair Color Remover

    The LONG but Necessary Story

Okay so I dye my hair often because my natural is an ash brownish blondish thing I usually can't identify is so hard to get back.I have been wanting to go back to natural since I dyed it dark years ago. Every time it fades it fades red. So I always end up dying it because the bottom part looks terrible. I also made a huge mistake and went to a school of beauty and let some young and scared student make a disaster of my hair. The top was light the bottom was at least two shades darker. Even when I go "pro" or at home dye it always seem to get my hair darker than what I want ALWAYS. So I am close to my natural with a little lighter ring around my hair (slightly lighter but about an inch or two from the top) which I have chosen to ignore. The bottom is brassy so I decide to dye it at home and low and behold I look like Daria. Totally dark. So I cry because it has been years since I was even remotely close to my natural. And I just screwed it all up with a "Light Brown" hair dye. So I search the internet for a solution and here it is.. Color OOPS. the Cheesy box almost scared me away I have to admit but after a couple of good reviews I thought okay I'm doing it. Just a insider information know the instructions like the back of your hand. And seriously don't stop rinsing until your shower is cold. The smell is horrible. Like dead fish or something going bad and once you have it on for 20 mn you have to wash with shampoo and rinse for 15-20 mn and again after another shampoo for 5 mn. I finished and when I got out my top 2 inches of my hair was blonde. Like Bleach Blonde. The rest an auburn color. After drying it with my blow dryer and staring at myself wonder what to do. I decided to do it again JUST the lower half. (I showered for over an hour today.)But when I was done the lower half was a little lighter. Keep in mind I dye my hair all the time. With a no brass dye or something. .If fades in a non flattering shade. This stuff actually worked. The top is only blonde to my recollection because of a students mistake that in turn lightened my hair with the OOPS. But it looks like it slowly fades from a strawberry blonde to a slightly darker blonde. It isn't bad. I had to work today and some people actually said they liked it. I told my friends the story and they just laughed because I tried to fix a "oops" with a "oops" But if you have no hair issues like mine I don't see how this stuff couldn't get the job done. I wish it would have been an item I knew about in my experimental hair color high school days. I will probably need to get highlights and lowlights professionally. But I am glad my hair isn't dark anymore. It only takes away darker hair NOT lighter. So if you went light and wanna go back this IS NOT what you want at all. A good idea is to use a deep conditioner right before you leave the shower when you are all done. Your hair will be like straw but it will also be porous so it will soak in the conditioner and won't be that bad. Hope this extremely long review helped someone out there.

  • Garnier HerbaShine Color Creme

I use a single box of liquid dye no problem.. But a Creme not so much. I rubbed my hair into the wet area and hoped that my hair would come out somewhat even. It got the scary smelling fumes compared to other brands but it worked pretty good. If I would have bought 2 boxes I am sure the experience would have been better. Over all I won't use again. I know its not expensive but I like other brands that are even cheaper.. and why waste my money.

  • Neutrogena SkinClearing Mineral Powder

It made me look older. I think it had something to do with the fact that I have oily skin and no matter what powder I use I will shine over it. Plus I had a matte finish. I also think the color isn't great for people with uneven skin tones. It wasn't great at all for me. I actually returned it. But it didn't break me out so 5 stars for not bothering my skin

  • Neutrogena Build-a-Tan Gradual Sunless Lotion

I was about to write a terrible review.. then I read a couple of great ones and decided to try it again. I am so glad I doubted myself. My tan looks real. Super real. I was more careful watched my ankle and knees, washed my hands vigorously immediately and am seriously impressed. I am so happy I didn't throw this out yet. It was from last year. After my bath time.. which I love. I lather up with this build a tan. I look ready for summer without a skin cancer worry. Honestly try it.. read the instructions plus there is a video on self tans in the video hair etc link.. kind of.. someone else sprays her but you get the idea.

    Yes to Carrots Lip Butter

    Berry is Great

Just a small tiny itsy bitsy hint of color that makes your lips look beautiful. Great for moisture and is much better than most balms I have tried and best of all when you lose it you won't be sad because it was inexpensive. Horray!

  • Yes to Cucumbers Facial Towelettes

I bought it once. It was okay I guess. I don't think it helped my skin in any sort of way. I was just really lazy/tired for a week and wanted a quick fix. My skin requires more attention and decided to break out around my lower chin area once I gave these a go. I don't think they caused the acne I just don't think it helped prevent anything at all.

    Joico K-PAK Shampoo

    Really Great

I liked this shampoo a lot. My stylist talked me into it...she just forgot to mention the one she sold me didn't help at all for my newly dyed hair. My color faded but they do have a line for color treated. It helped my hair feel hydrated and less damaged at the ends. If you dye your hair make sure its a compatible product. Or the fading will begin.

  • bareMinerals 2-piece Powder Foundation & Brush w/SPF 15

I thought this would work great for me but it lead to clogged pores and breakouts. Their whole line is so terrible for both mine and my moms sensitive skin. Not only that but it made me look years older than I am. I will stick with other brands and sensitive skin ladies beware!

  • L'Oreal Paris Voluminous Original Mascara

Its good but I know there has to be something better out there. So I try a couple brands and hate them and then go back to this. So overall better than a lot of other similar brands but no amazing result.
