  • Clinique Even Better Makeup SPF15

this foundation is great. i have sensitive, dry, freckled skin that gets quite rosy (i'm a "pink" person with fair skin). i have been using this foundation for a few months and it has never reacted badly with my skin (no breakouts). it goes on smoothly over my moisturizer and looks like i have naturally great skin. it gives medium coverage that lasts all day and doesn't feel thick or cakey at all. in addition, the color matching is excellent. they have many choices for undertone color, so you can definitely find something that matches your exact skin tone! the price is definitely reasonable for how long this stuff lasts. overall, i will definitely be purchasing this again!

  • It's A 10 Miracle Leave-In Product

i bought this product a few years ago and loved it! then, for some crazy reason, i decided to try out other products. i didn't immediately connect the dots of stopping this product and my hair softness, manageability, and shine going down. i recently (a few months ago) bought this product again and i am once again in love. my fine, limp hair is now back to being shiny, soft and bouncy! it doesn't weigh hair down (as some other leave-ins have done to me) and a little goes a long way to improving hair quality over time. i am definitely a believer and will be sticking with this from now on. it seems a little pricey for the small-ish bottle you get, but it lasts a long time (for my medium length hair, i spray 3 spritzes into my hand and work through my hair that way)

  • Paul Mitchell Tea Tree Special Shampoo

This is excellent shampoo! I have fine hair, medium length, non-color treated, and it needs washing every 2 days. I also sometimes used to get a bit of a flaky scalp (not anymore with this shampoo!). My hair doesn't get weighed down, it looks super healthy and not at all dried out. I love the smell of this and the slight tingling while washing is awesome (a great way to wake up in my early morning showers). The only reason this gets 9 stars instead of 10 is that it's a bit pricey. Though, it's not terribly expensive, and it's definitely not a deal breaker!

  • Kinerase Ultimate Day Moisturizer

I have dry, sensitive skin that does not react well with some products, so I was tentative about spending so much on this one. I had been using a moisturizer from Ahava for "very dry skin" for the last couple months and in that time, my skin had gotten flaky again and wasn't as moisturized as it could be. So, I looked for something more. I use this product in the morning and before bed (I really didn't want to have to buy 2 moisturizers and since this doesn't have SPF, it is fine to do double duty). Since using this for the past week, my skin has gotten much better! I am no longer flaky, my skin is smooth and my fountation goes on so nicely. This absorbs quickly in the morning so I can apply make-up right away and it feels amazing. No annoying smells either. Overall, very good purchase. It is expensive, but you get nearly 3oz, which is a ton for a moisturizer (in my experience). Also, it is in a tube, which I prefer over the tub-style packaging (no icky fingers dipped into the pot of moisturizer, and easier packing for travel).

  • Cristophe Profesional Cristophe Professional Argan Oil Treatment

this oil does seem to make my hair healthier, but it also seems to weigh it down if i apply to my whole head. i have very fine medium length hair and in order to reduce weigh down, i usually focus on the ends. it provides good frizz fighting as well as heat protection. it also has a very pleasing smell! overall, one of the cheaper argan oil treatments and worth the money as it does give good results. just watch out how much you use and where it goes if you have finer hair.

  • Basis Cleaner Clean Face Wash
    7.0

    Basis Cleaner Clean Face Wash

    great value for deep cleaning

I bought this product because it seemed like a reasonable price for a cleanser that would remove make-up (I really don't understand why a person would need a make-up remover separate from their cleanser!). It definitely lived up to the deep cleaning. My face is clear of any traces of make-up after cleansing and I feel refreshed. The scent is lovely and it makes up a good foam, even though it's soap-free! The only downside is that it's too good at its job! My dry, sensitive skin probably needs just a bit less cleansing. I love the price of this cleanser, but I may have to venture out and see if there is something that fits my skin type as well as my wallet.

  • Neutrogena Body Oil
    8.0

    Neutrogena Body Oil

    More good things than bad

Pros: I really like the scent (I guess it doesn't rub everyone the right way, but I really enjoy how light and different it is!). It feels excellent after a shower and I can't stop touching my skin! I apply this more religiously than lotion (which I hate doing!), so I am moisturized more frequently. It's just so convenient to slather on while still wet in the shower. Cons: If you apply after a shower, and then towel off, your towel gets a bit oily after a while (solution: wash towels more often...). It does seem to wear off fairly quickly. I feel great for a little while, but then I feel as if I didn't apply anything (not dry and flaky, just not soft and supple). It gets used up really quickly! Maybe I just use too much, but to feel like I've coated my skin, it seems to take a lot (perhaps a spritzer would make this more effective). Result: This is my first foray into body oil and generally I like it. I would probably look into another body oil once this one runs out to see what's out there, but I'm not against buying this one again (that smell really does it for me!).

  • Dermalogica UltraCalming Barrier Repair

I really wanted to like this. It felt so good on the back of my hand at the store and it has such great reviews, but when I got it home and tried it out, it did not work for me. I used it alone at bed time for a few days and my skin started getting dry. So I tried it under another moisturizer hoping I could still benefit from it's redness soothing properties, but it just did not deliver. I was just as red as ever and not any less dry or flaky. I ultimately returned this as it didn't seem worth the money to not get any results (good or bad).

  • Make Up For Ever Make Up Forever HD Microfinish Powder

So, I have to agree with a lot of other reviewers that this powder does finish off make-up flawlessly. I looks great...in person... I recently went to a dinner with my friends where a lot of folks took photos and I looked exactly the same in all the photos: I had glowing white skin, mostly around my eyes and nose! I asked around and everyone said they couldn't even tell I was wearing much make-up in person (and I swear I used a small amount of this stuff and blended it well), but every photo looked ridiculous! (think 'red carpet faux-pas with too much powder' ridiculous) It was awful. I will definitely not be using this powder anymore for fear there might be a camera close by.

  • Chanel Precision Hydramax+ Active Active Moisture Boost Cream

I was definitely worried about using a moisturizer with oil in it (I know, how naive), but this cream has worked wonders for my dry, sensitive skin. I generally use it with the serum (also by Chanel), but I think I'm going to start regularly using it alone since it is so wonderful (and the serum is pricey/doesn't last long). My dry patches are gone, my redness has gone down, and I have not had any breakouts or bad reactions whatsoever. This is a bit pricey, but it is definitely worth it. It doesn't take much cream to cover your face, so the jar seriously lasts forever! And the icing on the cake: it smells wonderful!
