  • Rimmel London Kate Moss Lasting Finish Lipstick

I have NEVER tried one Rimmel product until I tried this lipstick AND now I'm hooked! I bought this lipstick in 113 (the nude color) and was shocked at how creamy, moisturizing and how gorgeous the color is! It was a great dupe for my MAC "Myth" lipstick that I love but didn't feel like spending $15+ for. I went back and bought two more colors and I loved 101 so much (it's a great dupe for MAC's Snob lipstick) I went BACK to Wal-Mart and bought another one! I believe these are limited edition lipsticks...so if you see it do yourself a favor and pick one up, the best $4+ dollars I've spent in a while.

  • Organix Renewing Moroccan Argan Penetrating Oil

I've had my eye on this product for some time but I thought it was just like all the other Moroccan products...another gimmick! My hair is coarse and extremely dry but my Carol's Daughter oil was weighing my hair down...I wanted to switch up so my hair could have body again. So I tried a few products...no success and Garnier's Moroccan oil seemed to have dried my hair out. Finally, I decided to try this oil out AND it made my hair look like I was fresh out of the salon! Needless to say I'm impressed. Maybe it's the technique I use that makes the oil work for me...like I stated previously my hair is course and it's frizzy as well. So I like to put oil on my hair BEFORE I blow it out and afterwards as I style it with my flat iron or my curling iron I lightly put oil on my hair piece by piece. So I apply a small amount of oil to a section or piece of my hair THEN I flat iron or curl that section/piece of hair....and I swear it looks like I just hopped out of my stylist's chair when I'm done. This oil helps my hair withstand all that heat and leaves it looking shiny, healthy and bouncy. I love this stuff! Plus the price is definitely an added bonus. If you have course/frizzy hair...give my technique a try, you just may like it!

  • Revlon ColorStay Makeup for Combination/Oily Skin

This foundation is LITERALLY perfect for super oily or combo skin AND Heaven knows I definitely am under that category! For the past year and a half...I've been a slave to MAC's Pro Longwear foundation and while I've tried other foundations, I always found myself going back to my Pro Longwear. This is JUST like MAC's Pro Longwear but at a fraction of the price. My skin is super oily and this keeps me matte all day long...from the am to the pm which is perfect for a person who works all day and doesn't have time for touch-ups. Also the 1st day I tried this foundation...it was so humid outside it felt like I stepped in a sauna. At the end of the day my skin still looked flawless and wasn't even a tad-bit dewy! Once you put this product on like MAC's Pro Longwear it dries quickly and this product won't budge or transfer. Also I've never tried a drugstore foundation that didn't break me out UNTIL I tried this! My only issue with this product is the bottle could definitely use a pump but who really cares about that when you're getting perfection for less than $15?!? Not me!!! **UPDATE** I've officially been using this product consistently for almost 2 months now...it's THEE best foundation I've ever had. I have stopped using my Smashbox and MAC foundation for Revlon's Colorstay foundation. My skin has never been clearer after using this foundation and my makeup has never looked better...all of my acne and oily skin chicas, the search for the perfect liquid foundation stops here!

  • Clinique Clarifying Lotion 4

    Clinique Clarifying Lotion 4

First off let me just give this disclaimer...my skin is absolutely crazy. It can get so oily that it could compete with the grease on a slice of pizza. Then I have areas of my face that can get so dry that it gets irritated, red and will start peeling or flaking especially during the Winter. With that being said...I needed a miracle in a bottle AND that's exactly what I got when I purchased this toner! I already use Clinique's moisturizers...I swear by them so I figured why not give this a try. I did my research and was hesitant to pick up #4 because #3 seemed so safe for Combo skin BUT when I had the breakout from Hades I knew that I needed something drastic to help me out! Also, the SA informed me of Clinique reformulating their toners to not be drying...so I figured what did I have to lose? This stuff is amazing!!! I tried it out the same night I purchased it and woke-up the very next morning with beautiful semi-clear skin!!! This stuff had help exfoliate my flaky, peeling skin and my pimples were almost gone after one night of use. I couldn't believe it...then throughout the day my skin stayed matte ESPECIALLY my T-Zone. If you have extremely oily skin this product will be a God-send...and if you're like me with a few dry areas just make sure you moisturize. Clinique's Moisture Surge Gel-Cream is awesome too!

  • Clairol Professional Textures & Tones Hair Color

My natural hair color is dark brown BUT I love when it's dyed jet black! What I don't love is making those expensive trips to my stylist just for color. I have always been hesitant to color my own hair, especially after a terrible hair color experience I had in High School...my hair was dark brown, patchy blonde AND even had some bright Ronald McDonald red in it too! After that experience and my dear Mom spending tons to have my hair color-corrected, I've always left it to the Pros. However, one of my resolutions this year is to cut back on unnecessary spending AND I figured that since I'm not lifting (lightening) my actual hair color why not do it myself?! At first, I was looking at using professional hair dyes but trying to figure out what volume of developer I should use was a headache, I needed something simple and easy. One of my friends recommended I try her go-to hair color product, her hair is a fabulous honey blonde...and I'm so glad I did! I used the color "silken black" and it gave my hair the most luxurious black color ever. My stylist literally used a professional blue-black dye to achieve this color for my hair and to think I got this silky, shiny look from a box color I picked-up in Target for $5.99 is mind-blowing! Also, my hair is coarse, thick and very dry but this product actually left it silkier than it was before...maybe it's because after I rinsed out the dye I "co-washed" my hair (used conditioner only and no shampoo), sat under my dryer with the conditioner still in my hair and to reseal my hair's shaft I did a final rinse with ice cold water BUT my strands feel like pure silk. My hair doesn't even feel this good after moisturizing steam treatments at the salon. The steps to color my hair were simple and sure I did a lot of steps afterwards but if you're gonna dye your hair...do it right! I will always use this to color my hair and since it's a permanent dye...I will only need to touch up my roots. This is much better than spending quadruple the cost of this product in the salon!

  • Mary Kay Medium-Coverage Foundation

    Mary Kay Medium-Coverage Foundation

I remember wearing this product for a majority of the summer in 2009 and initially this product was fabulous for my oily skin! It gave flawless coverage but looked super natural. Then I started breaking out with little dry irritation bumps around my mouth and on my chin...at first I thought it was the heat but then I stopped using this for awhile and they went away! I tried to use this foundation a few weeks later but unfortunately the super dry skin and irritation bumps came back. Even though my skin is super oily, I have combo skin where some areas of my face can get really dry...and this product eventually dried those areas of my face to the point where it got severely irritated. Moral of this long-story if you have combo skin that is oily/dry...STAY AWAY! It's such a shame because I really liked this foundation...I would use it on all my clients for their events or outings and they loved it too. I wish it worked for me!

  • MAC Studio Finish SPF 35 Concealer

MAC Studio Finish SPF 35 Concealer

This is the first concealer I ever used and it's guaranteed to get the job done. It's good for covering up blemishes but it's creamy consistency is why I chose to switch to MAC's Pro Longwear concealer. I have really oily skin, therefore, I need a concealer that's going to stay put! With this product I had to do a make-up check every 2 hours to see if my concealer was gone or caked-up on my face. Also, I could not use this product under my eyes because it would cake-up in my creases within the first 5 minutes of application. I think people with normal-to-dry skin would get better results with this product more than someone with oily or combination skin.

    MAC 187 Duo Fibre Brush

I don't go a day without using this brush, I'm currently on my 3rd one! I use it to apply my blush and powders...not only does it give me a smooth and even finish, this brush makes my make-up look airbrushed!

  • MAC 190 Foundation Brush

    MAC 190 Foundation Brush

    A MUST-HAVE!!!

This is the best foundation brush I've ever had. It doesn't shed and applies foundation evenly on your skin. I recently purchased another 190 brush after realizing I had my last brush for over 5 years and it was still going strong! As for the people who's foundation is streaky it's probably because your strokes are too long. You have to use short, quick strokes when applying foundation with a brush and make sure the strokes go down to make sure the little hairs on your skin don't stick up.

  • Ben Nye Mini Shaker Translucent Powder Bottles

I love, Love, LOVE Ben Nye's translucent powders. My personal favorite is Ben Nye's Banana Visage powder...I promise you it is nothing short of excellent. I have extremely oily skin, therefore, anything that can keep me matte is a winner. This powder not only has a silky consistency with a satin finish...it will leave you with a nice subtle glow! I never have to do touch-ups on my foundation or my concealer after I set it with this powder and I only paid $24 for an entire 8 oz jar! The quality of Ben Nye's powders are superb and you can't beat the price with bat. If you're looking for an amazing translucent powder this is the one!
