  • Smith's Rosebud Salve

    Smith's Rosebud Salve

    A lifesaver for chapped lips.

This is a great lip balm. I love the scent of it (Rose) and it lasts a long time. I carry one in my purse with me at all times. I also like the tin can that it comes in. Its big enough so that I can put my lips in it and not have to get my fingers messy from applying the lip balm. This salve has other uses (diaper rash, soothing cuticles, etc) but I haven't used it for that purpose. It leaves my lips really soft and supple.

  • MAC Strobe Cream

    MAC Strobe Cream

    Strobe Cream is Love!

Ever since I discovered this gem, I have been hooked. What exactly is Strobe Cream? According to the MAC website, it’s “The ultimate pick-up. De-stresses and wakes up tired skin with a moisturizing, vitamin-loaded zap. Iridescent texture makes skin glow. Leaves skin with a natural, healthy glow inspired by backstage lighting techniques. When used on the face or body, this iridescent cream moisturizes and gives skin the appearance of vitality and radiance. Iridescent pigments and botanical extracts help to instantly brighten the skin and improve skin tone and clarity. The vitamin enriched formula nourishes, rejuvenates and hydrates. Strobe Cream is a perfect base for foundation”. Why do I like it so much? It gives my face a radiance (not oiliness) that no other moisturizer has given me. I apply it underneath my foundation as a moisturizer and it works with my dry skin. When I use Strobe Cream, I feel like my face has a healthy glow. I sometimes use is alone when I am not wearing make up and it does perk my face up. I use it every day and each bottle has lasted about 6 months. I am on my third tube. Pros: gives face a healthy glow and looks radiant not greasy Cons: some might consider the price a con

  • Neutrogena Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover

    Neutrogena Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover

My holy grail eye make up remover

I bought this product when I ran out of my MAC Pro Eye Make Up Remover. I have been using it for a long time but did not want to go to MAC so that I wouldn't be tempted to buy anything that I shouldn't. Anyhoo, I bought this product and it was has been amazing. Better than my MAC one. First of all, it's gentle enough for those of us who have sensitive eyes. It removes your eye make up without having to pull or tug your eye. It is ophthalmologist tested, safe for contact lens wearers and oil free. It has removed Fluidlines, Liquidlines and all types of mascara easily. It also leaves my eyes feeling soft and not dry like other eye removers. And the price was the best part of it. I paid $4.99 but its usually $6. You don't need a lot because a little goes a long way. I will continue to buy this product.

  • MAC Pro Eye Make Up Remover

MAC Pro Eye Make Up Remover

Too pricey and irritates my eyes

As much as I like this product, I probably won't buy it again. The MAC website describes this product as a "A mega-effective remover that lifts off makeup without smudges or tears. Pro Eye Makeup Remover is a clear, lightweight liquid that gently and effectively removes all eye makeup, including waterproof and transfer-resistant products. It effortlessly removes Paints, Eye Shadows, Mascara and Liquid Liner. It contains Cucumber Extract to soothe and hydrate the skin and it's perfectly safe for contact lens wearers. No rinsing is required and makeup can be immediately reapplied. Perfect for when you're in a rush." I found it to be a bit irritating at times and I really had to tug my eye when I had on fluidlines or other long lasting eye products. It left my eye lids a bit too dry at times and also for the price, its just not a good option for me. P.S. I did find my HG eye make up remover which is Neutrogena Oil Free Make Up remover.

  • MAC Fix+

    MAC Fix+

A triple threat -- in a good way!

I am on my third bottle of this product so I guess that I really like it. Each bottle lasts about 6 months and I use it almost every day. This product makes my skin feel fresh and clean. I apply it before my moisturizer and after I have finished putting on all of my make up. Its a great setting spray. It does have a fragrance to it which I love. Two extra tips for using FIx For those using MAC MSF's, I recommend that you spray your brush (which ever one you use to apply the MSF) and then apply the product and then buff it on your skin. The Fix along with the MSF will give you skina glazed look which is great. For those that use Fluidlines, a MAC MA recommended that I spray my brush once with the product to reactivate the drying fluidlines. It made a world of difference in applying my fluidline.
