  • Sephora Professionnel Kabuki Brush

I honestly do not care too much for this product. When I first bought this brush I found the bristles ok not too soft but I thought I would somehow wear into it after a few uses. That was not the case! I am so disappointed with this product. Let's start off with the texture, it's extremely rough, it feels like little needles on the skin, and when i tried to dip this into my press powder or blush it would cause too much product to be removed. Not only did this make a mess on my counter, it made me lose a ton of product too. Also the brush sheds like crazy! I washed the brush about once every 3 days with soap and olive oil, but used brush cleaner, and the shedding from this product was absolutely amazing. I mean I really can't believe the brush is still intact type of amazing. Also when I was using this product I would have brush hairs on my face. The brush was not even a cheap brush, I think it was about $25 including tax, so I thought I would have some type of quality. I could not even use this product after 3 weeks because of the terrible memories I made of it, and because I always feared the poor results I received when I did use the brush. The good thing about this brush is the size, that is the main reason I bought this brush. I saw the size of the brush and bought it because it looked convenient to travel with, but I was extremely disappointed. I know I sound really negative but I do not know how else to explain this product! I can honestly say my $8 drug store kabuki is on par if not greater than this product. Not worth the money, nor the experience. I do not recommend this product at all!

  • The Body Shop Cranberry Home Fragrance Oil

My friend was nice enough to gift this to me for the holidays, along with a bunch of other exclusive goodies from the body shop. Boy was this a treat! First off, the smell is not one of those really chemically sweet smells that remind me of artificial candy nor was it one of those stale smells like canned cranberry sauce, it is actually really difficult for me to describe the scent without butchering it. My words can do no justice, all I can say is you have to try this out if you have not. It smells really fresh but not over powering. Like most of the Body Shop scents it is supposed to mock a very natural smell, but it does smell a bit more sweet, maybe not as fresh as the other scents, but it is great for the holidays. It can be sort of seen as an aroma therapy sort of ordeal, it really relaxes the body and your sense of smell just feels so pampered with this product. I used this scent during a dinner party during the holiday season and was rewarded with so many compliments. I do have to pick up a few more just incase I run out of this bottle. I do not know if this is a limited edition for the holiday season or something because usually cranberry is used in seasonal products. I really hope it is not, anyhow I do not know the price of these products neither since it was a gift, but I do think I have tired something similar to this and it was more on the higher end of the price range spectrum. I do not know if it is appropriate to use this scent after the holidays though. Overall, this product would make your home feel really warm and welcoming during the holidays. It is a worthy investment.

  • Pond's Dry Skin Cream

    Pond's Dry Skin Cream

    Great Moisturizer

I remember using this in the winter in Beijing. The winter is usually very dry and extremely cold so going outside will do very harsh things to your face. My normal moisturizers were no match to the weather but this was really good. I felt the results within the first two weeks which was really great. my skin did not feel as dry nor flakey. I love the price as well, it was very forgiving. Great Moisturizer and I look forward to using more of it in the future. I recommend this greatly for people who have sensitive skin, dry skin, or are just looking for a good bargain.

  • Benefit Coralista

I finally understand the hype about this product. When I was in Hong Kong, a lot of my friends would recommend this product to me because it has a type of subtle slightly orange undertone that works very well with paler asian skin that has a yellow undertone. This product looks amazing on my skin and leaves a very natural glow. I do not like the brush the box comes with since i like to use my own brushes with applying make up since I find the result a bit more desirable. I had a hard time finding this blush in my area, I used to be absolutely obsessed with the other blushes by Benefit as well as the wonderful tints that can double up as a blush or lip tint/highlight. Anyhow, for a powder blush this is amazing it does not look powdery nor chalky and blends in very well with my skin. Some people may find the product to be a bit heavy because the pigmentation is so great, so a little bit goes a long way. Also please please please remember to have a light hand when apply this product, or use a tissue to dab off the excess so you won't look like a baboon behind. For the price, I think it is reasonable. I know some may find that benefit products are a bit expensive or more high end, but the quality is what you pay for. You do not need much product to see the results, so I feel like this is a great investment. I think it is a bit easier to get a hold of in the states as well, I had to go on a whole scavenger adventure to seek out this product in Hong Kong. It would be a great addition to your makeup collection.

  • Pantene Pro-V Classic Care Solutions Classic Care Shampoo

I recently tried out this shampoo since I was on vacation and forgot to pack my own shampoo. It was on sale at my local CVS there was a 30% off deal so I decided to go with the classic care solution. First off, my hair quite healthy even thought it has been colored. I have very thing hair but it gets frizzy easily if there is humidity in the air. I have not tried too many Pantene products so I was unsure of the results I would receive from this product. I did not find this product amazing, as in I would not seek out this product or add it to my usual hair care routine type of deal, but I must say this product is pretty amazing for it's price. I did not find anything terrible about this product, it did make my hair feel very clean and refreshed, but did not add amazing shine nor smooth it out. I am pleased that it did not damage my hair, I am quite grateful about it actually. What I didn't really like about this product though was that It would leave my skin feeling really dry. As in the back of my neck and around my ears. I found it really odd because my hair did not feel dried out but areas around my head, would be dry. I do not feel as if I want to finish up using my bottle of shampoo, but I do not think other people have this problem so it could just be a personal thing. I do love the smell of the product since it does not smell to chemically or over powering, but the results were not what totally great, since I do not use pantene products, this is the first time I have tried something from them, maybe I had a default bottle or something? Do not get me wrong, I do think this is a good product though.

  • Sephora Kohl Pencil
    8.0

    Sephora Kohl Pencil

    Bargin Liner

I was able to pick up this at the sephora at my local mall for a great price. I believe it was only $3 because it was on sale for Black Friday. First of all I have extremely oily asian tapered double eyelids and it is almost impossible for me to find a good pencil eyeliner. I was in a desperate search for a good, fairly priced eyeliner that would be able to stand my oily lids, also my eyes do tend to water a lot due to irritation since they are sensitive, and on a side note, I yawn a lot. I have heard a lot of good things about Sephora eye liner but I was still a bit skeptical. Good thing I tried this eyeliner though, the pigmentation is great and the lasting power is quite long. I worked a double shift that was about 18 hours, and the lasting power of the eyeliner did not wear out. I was simply amazed because there was minimal creasing, also the liner was able to withstand my tearing throughout the day. The only downfall is that I really wish this product was easier to remove, but then again if i was easy to remove the staying power would be less. Anyhow, the only trouble I have with this product is the removal of it at the end of the day. I use an oil based eye makeup remover from Lancome but it does not clean the product completely unless I rub on my eye harshly. My eyes are very sensitive therefore I sometimes regret using this eyeliner because of the removal process. I do not know if it may be my remover that is causing the problems or this product. I do recommend this to others. It is still an amazing pencil eyeliner that stays put on the waterline. Good job sephora!

  • Philosophy Kiss Me High Emollient Lip Ointment

This product is amazing!!! I think I found this at my local TJ Maxx store, and it was a real steal. It was only about $5! I do believe it is more expensive if you find it in Nordstrom or Macy's, but anyhow I still think it is totally worth the price. So, beside the amazing price, the product does wonders to my lips as well. Like always, Philosophy products have always been a win in my book, they smell amazing and they have great results. If you are like me and have ridiculously chapped/damaged/intensely dry lips that are sensitive I would highly recommend this ointment. This ointment smells great, and a little does go a long way with this product. My tube is still fairly fully and I have been using this product since early december, well it doesn't sound like much but I do use this product daily. I have purchased a few back ups for this product as well, since it's just simply wonderful. This is great if you work or go to school in places that are cold/dry. Overall, just simply amazing and I do not know how else I could stress it. Please try this for yourself.

  • Urban Decay Shadow Box
    10.0

    Urban Decay Shadow Box

    Urban Decay Shadow box

Honestly one of the best deals I have picked up (found it at my local Nordstrom Rack) from a high end make up company. I was a bit skeptical about this box because, well obviously the colors are a bit bold and I had a hard time figuring out how to incorporate them into my daily routine. I am a big fan of Urban Decay products because they have amazing lasting power, are easy to blend, and have amazing color payoff, so naturally I like to horde makeup items during their sales. But, aside from that, this box is absolutely charming, I use the blue and greens for liner to give my eyes a pop of color, and the neutrals are saved for my everyday look to either school or work. The only thing I don't really care for are the little applicators that come with the box. I found them kind of annoying since they kept on coming out; eventually I threw them away. I sort of wish that instead of the applicators, the set came with an eyeliner or lipgloss; since that is what most of the UD sets usually come with. Overall it's a great product and I recommend this to everyone since the color variety is so great. Love this product.
