I got this as a gift from a friend over the holidays and I was really excited to try this since I have seen so many positive things about this product, but I had no clue where to find this. When i opened the box, I found the cream in a nice packaging, it looked like a sturdy product with quite expensive packaging which made me feel happy. The cream itself does have a scent, it's not strong but it does smell a bit like chemicals which did worry me a little, since I do tend to have annoyingly sensitive skin compared to normal people. My friend who gifted me this product told me it was a real winner and that he has gone through 2 boxes of this cream so I did have high expectations for this product. My skin is already quite light but due to excess exposure to the sunlight it has been getting darker. I tried this cream and it did make my skin really soft but I am not sure if I am actually getting lighter from this cream. My skin tone does seem a bit more light, but I feel like it looks a bit uneven. I don't know if it is the cream's doing but I have stopped using the product. my skin is a bit more normal toned, I don't know it looks more even and I have started to use the product again. This time around it has not caused my skin tone to be uneven and it does lighten my skin. I do not know if I want to continue because I do fear my skin could turn a bit patchy again. I don't know how else to describe this cream, but I don't think this problem is normal because I don't see any one complaining about this problem but myself. Overall decent cream, it does leave your skin very soft, but I just have a bias towards this cream.

I was extremely excited when i found this in my local drug store (CVS) and I knew I had to get it. I had read so many reviews online about this particular maybeline product and was excited to test it out for myself. This is know as one of the best drug store pallets to travel with so I took it with me on my trip to Maui. Boy, this was a good product, I was able to use this pallet everyday for my eye shadow and not get tired of it since there were 8 shadows, I could make so many different combinations for day and night wear. I found the color pay off to be good, but I found out that instead of using a brush, these colors can be a bit chalky, using a clean finger to pat on these shadows make less of a mess. This was even more convenient because I didn't have to take an eye shadow brush with me and it saved me a lot of time!!! I could also fit this pallet into my makeup case which was great because I was able to apply it through out my day of sweating and such. I do find the lighter shades to be good high lighters for the face rather than colors on my eyelid so I felt like I didn't have to bring a bronzer or high lighter, which was awesome again. I think this is also a good sample pallet to find out which netural color is your favorite!! Some colors are a bit harder to use, such as the green, well for me I felt like the green was very dark so I applied it close to my lash line so it would look sort of like a liner. I don't care for the little sponge applicators neither, but this is a great, cheap, intro to make up pallet, that is also really convenient for traveling. This pallet is over all good, and I would repurchase a second one after I finish my current pallet!

Ok, I am actually really surprised that this product is viewed as such a terrible product. I am going to be completely honest. I do like this gloss!!! I find the packaging to be very cute and easy to use, and I think the product inside is very reasonably priced, quite cheap for a pretty good product. This lip gloss does go into my everyday makeup bag!!! I was able to find this gloss through a friend who told me to try out the NYC mascara, yes mascara some how led me to gloss. Anyhow, since I liked the mascara so much I decided to be adventurous and try out different products from this line, I tried a lipstick, foundation, bronzer (which is amazing), an this gloss. I found them all to be good products, and the prices were just unbeatable. The color pay off from this gloss is not overpowering, it is actually quite sheer, and the product is quite thick which allows it to stay a while on my lips. I did not find this gloss extremely sticky, well i expected it to be a little sticky, and it looked very glossy on my lips. I think for a cheap lip gloss this is a definite go to type of product, this is great for people who are just starting with their make up collection, such as high schoolers, college students, etc. The color range isn't huge, there are a few shades but they all kind of work the same, they look kind of sheer on my lips, or maybe I am just applying a small amount. It does not do bad things to my lips, like my lips feel soft and not dried out. I actually like the packaging because it is thin and long, but I don't like how the applicator does not pick up too much product so you actually have to dip into your tube a few times before you can coat all of your lips, and i have pretty small lips. If you are looking for a cheap gloss, this is a go to.

I wore these to a glitter party over the holidays, I honestly did not like them. I felt like the lash was a decent quality, but the band was really thick, it was hard to blink without the lashes falling off, I looked like a fool and would not repurchase this. I think they were fairly cheap, I got them for about $3 so I should not have of expected that much.

Urban Decay (UD) products almost never do me wrong! I love love love this product. I think I got this product on one of the sales, and it was about $13 which is amazing since the set does come with an eyeliner along with 4 shades. At first I did have to debate whether or not I should get this product because of the super bright neon looking pink, woodstock. I just kept thinking I would never be able to use that color , which made me wonder if I truly wanted the pallet, since I am one of those people who are extremely concerned about using every product in a make up pallet. There is also a gloss with this product that is very pigmented, it's a hot pink which goes well with the majority of the neutral colors in the pallet. Anyhow, the pink was hard for me to use, but I found a use for it as a bright color to wear under my eye for a night out with friends, it looks really edgy and I am really into the whole bright colors under the eye look. I can't use the woodstock color as much as I want to because I still have not quite figured out how to incorporate it on my eyelid without looking like a clown or looking trashy. It's a challenge. Anyhow like all urban decay products, these shadows are creamy, long lasting, pigmented, and just over all awesome. The eyeliner is bourbon I think, extremely easy to use and the pink lip gloss is fun, it can be used during the day with light make up, or it can be used a night for a night out. I do not think this pallet exists anymore, but it was a great find.

I do not know why this blush has such low ratings, because honestly I found this product quite decent for the price of one dollar. I thought most ELF products are ok. They pass off as decent in my book because I usually do not have much expectation for them, but I actually have taken a liking to this particular blush. Actually this could be my favorite drug store blush. The line of blush is supposed to make the daily makeup routine look very natural and it does exactly that for me. I like to use this blush on top of my cream blush to make my cheeks look very natural and dolly. I find it very pleasing on my skin tone, and it actually lasts for a pretty long time. Maybe it's because I use a cream blush under? I am not sure. I do not care too much for the packaging of the product, it seems very cheap, weak, and flimsy. I think the solution to this is just to depot the whole blush, but you have to be very careful because apparently this blush cracks very easily? I depot this by heating up the back with a hair dryer and it comes out, then i pop it into my make up pallet so it solves the cheap packaging problem. I find this blush extremely forgiving, which means even if I have a heavy hand it does not look super dramatic on me, it is perfect for the everyday look and the price is unbeatable. One dollar gets you a blush! This blush normally lasts me about 2 months or so and that is with everyday use sometimes I would use it once a day sometimes twice, great price! I will be repurchasing this again, also I forgot to mention that the blush comes in a bunch of colors. Yay ELF.

I was lucky enough to stumble upon this gem at nordstrom rack. I had heard about NYX products being this line of drugstore priced cosmetics that had high end quality, which made me very interested. I am always looking for a good deal and these eye shadows were no exception!! I picked up the white pearl, geisha, pink princess, nude, and cafe shades (pearly white, matte white, light mauve pink, and a medium toned brown) and boy was I happy with the results. All of the shadows were great! the lasting power was long, it was able to stay on my eyelids all day with an eye shadow primer. I was also able to blend these colors effortlessly, and there was quite a bit of product in each individual case. I also noticed online there were a bunch of shades so it was good, I felt like they could pass off as dupes for mac shadows? I love how each shadow only costs about $6 so you are able to buy a bunch with out breaking the bank. The formula for these products are not chalky which is amazing and they feel smooth so they are fairly easy to blend. I also found these products to work well as highlights (nude) and they could even double up as blushes. Anyhow, these shadows can prove as great alternative to cheaper make up, and can be used as everyday items to my make up collection. I wish they were sold in more store since I know there are no nordstrom racks nor ultas in many areas. Overall I would tell everyone to at least give this brand a chance, it has amazing products and the prices are so cheap they will not break the bank, they are sure to satisfy almost any make up junkie!

So this product is great and all, but to me the scent reminds me a lot like the godiva birthday cake bark. I know the soap is called birthday girl but I really wish it smelled less sweet. Maybe, I am biased because I do not really like that godiva bark so I couldn't give this product a perfect 10 but other than the smell I did not find anything else unlikeable. I got this as a gift from a friend and the only thing I didn't like too much in the set was the lip gloss, because of the smell. I liked the texture of the gloss, but could not bring myself to use this because the smell was just not appealing to me. the scent of the body wash was good because after washing it off it was very faint and did not linger, but I felt very clean and the soap did not dry out my skin which was a major plus. If i were to repurchase this I would just buy the body wash because I did not care too much for the other two items. I think this would be a great gift for people who enjoy the vanilla like smell of birthday cake. It smells like something that would appeal to the younger generation of girls, maybe girls who are in their teens. This makes a good gift for birthdays since there are three items to try, but if it was for yourself I do not recommend buying this set because there is only 6 oz of body wash!!! The lip gloss is good if you are a big fan of sheer sweet smelling products. Overall decent product like all of the philosophy things, I would repurchase only if it was on sale, was not amazing but good.

So if you are looking for a product that can do just about anything, well more like act like all of your beauty product needs, and if you also happen to have a bit of money you would like to spend this is definitely a highly recommended product! First of all this product is beautiful. I feel as if all Mac pigments have amazing quality and come in a huge range of colors and shades so it makes them so tempting to the make up horders like myself. But, these small gems do come with a high price. I think at my local MAC store it costs me about $20 for a small pigment bottle, but do keep in mind that the tiny bottle does come with a ton of product. My current obsession is the Melon color since it can be used on the lips as well, I believe some of the pigments you are able to mix with sheer lipgloss to create awesome colors. But anyhow, these products are amazing, they can be applied either wet or dry to the eyelids, work as glosses, and I believe the pink tones can be doubled up as blushes, and there is a light one you can even use as a highlight!! I love how they are so useful, but there is one downfall, the huge huge huge mess they leave behind. I don't like how the mouth of the bottle is relatively larger compared to the bottle. the pigment usually spills out and i make a mess. I do not like dipping my brush into the pigment because I feel like it is unsanitary, so that is my only dislike about this product. Also I wish the pigments cost a little less, but then again I feel like it is an okay deal, since I can use a pigment for a fairly long amount of time. Over all a good product that does what it says it does, It is extremely useful and can act like all your beauty needs at once.

When I first came back to the US I was told by a friend the Maybeline's in the US do not carry my most favorite drug store mascara from Maybeline, Lashionista!!! I was informed that the lash stiletto was the same product but packaged under a different name. This was so not the case. While the lashionist mascara lengthened and volumized my lashes, this product did not. I have to admit the formula for this product was pretty good, it was dark and thick, but all it really did was clump up. I tried to blot the wand in hopes of getting off the excess product but it did not help. The formula was really thick and watery so it would smear a lot too. It was heavy and thick and watery, the combination and consistency just made this product odd. I know this product was not water proof and it was supposed to come off easily with hot water but that was not the case. The majority of it did come off when I washed my face with luke warm water but it would stain my skin. I looked like a mess and it would burn my eyes. The formula really stung so I did not use this product again. This was not a dupe for the Lashionista mascara from maybeline, or if it was a dupe I have yet to see any good similarities that would make me love it as much as the Lashionista. It claimed to grow out lashes, it did not, I felt as if the product made my lashes fall out!!! The one thing it did do was lengthen my lashes and make them look very dark and glossy but that was it. It would also smudge due to my watery eyes. Overall I have bad vibes towards this product.
