  • Sephora FACE Soothing Toner

Sephora had this on sale for $5.00 a bottle recently. I have been looking for a toner to try so I thought why not. I am so glad I ordered this. My face is so soft and clean feeling since I've been using this, especially in the morning. From what I understand they had clearanced this product because they are changing the packaging. This really needs to be done. No matter how careful I am, or how much I clean off the bottle, every time I pick it up there is toner that has leaked underneath it. I can't even figure out where it's coming from. I am going to pour this into another container so I don't have to keep wiping down my countertops. Other than that I'm very happy with it. Anyway, I absolutely loved this toner! I even liked the blue color, lol. I haven't used it in a while, I actually ran out of it a bit too quick. But I liked it better than any toner I have ever used! My face felt really clean and soft. My skin is oily, and I remember my skin staying pretty fresh when I used this. I don't remember how much it cost, but I'm almost sure it wasn't pricey at all. It also seemed to come out of the container a bit awkwardly, probably causing me to use too much and run out way to quick, but other than that I liked it.

  • Clinique Acne Solutions Clarifying Lotion

my mom got me the clinique acne system including the foaming facial cleanser, clarifying lotion, and moiturizer. I have been using it since christmas day, it made me break out SO bad for the first week- week and a half. But now it is starting to clear up. I almost wanted to stop using it but when your trying to clear acne they always say its going to get WORSE before it gets better. So i continued using it morning and night. Right now I still have some pimples on my forhead and cheeks, but my skin has a glow to it! And is SO soft. And I can slowly but surely see the acne going away. If you have this product or want to give it a try I say go for it. Everyones skin type is different, talk to the girls at the counter they will help you pick out an acne system that will work for your skin type. I definetly recomend getting the moiturizer as well because the claryfying lotion can really dry out your skin, especially if your skin is prone to dryness like mine. Its not that expensive, just think youll spend as the MOST 50$ and it will last a couple months (2-3) depending on how much you use. And it WILL work just stick to it, you probably will break out during the first week but it will get better. Just give it time. I am only on my 3rd week and my skin is still in the process of clearing up. After using my face wash and clarifying lotion my face feels SO clean. This is a little gross but when you use the clarifying lotion and you sweep the cotton ball over ur face youll see the cotton ball isnt very clean, even after using the foaming cleanser! So I don't know if ill ever feel right just washing my face, knowing its still dirty no matter how much you use or how good you clean. I talk way to much! But definetly give this system a go! Its worth your money and very easy to talk to someone at the clinique counter about your skin and she will get you what you need!.

  • La Roche-Posay Toleraine Ultra Intense Soothing Care Daily Moisturizer + Calming Agent

I bought this because I was looking for a cream to soothe my irritated dry scaly skin on my face and neck. I only have this problem during winter, when the heat inside dries out the air. This cream really helps! It is not greasy and has no fragrance. I recommend it for anyone who is has sensitive skin and doesn't want a greasy cream. Kind of expensive, though.

  • Maybelline Volume Express The Rocket Waterproof Mascara

Love this mascara! It does the best job out of any mascara I have ever bought, it lengthens SO much, and volumizes well too. I have good eyelashes to begin with so I can literally make it look like I'm wearing false lashes when I take time to apply this well. It does not clump or make your lashes stick together, it separates well. Lasts aalllll day! If you try to reapply this while the first coat is dry it does make your lashes look a little "scraggly" as I would put it...so layering has to be done rather quickly. The only NEGATIVE I have with this product and why I gave it 4/5 and will not be repurchasing (it was given to me as a gift) is not to do with the formula, but the fact that Maybelline tests their products on animals... NOT cool. I don't think people realize the extent of suffering test animals go through (yes, they do test on cats & dogs), therefore I do not support Maybelline. I'd rather go with BeneFit who is cruelty free :)

  • Hourglass Immaculate Liquid Powder Foundation

I didn't want to love this foundation. It's exorbitantly expensive. I received a sample in a Sephora order and gave it a try. It worked out pretty well, more so than any other foundation I've tried to wear, so I went to my local store to get colour-matched. While at first blush, I cringed (poor thing was a skin care specialist, not a make-up artist, and application was not the best) but I could see that it was a very good product and that it was my shade, so I bought it anyway. It says you're not supposed to apply it with a sponge, which I was annoyed with because my Beauty Blender is my most favourite tool, but after trying it I figured out that it just plain wasted too much product by being absorbed by the BB. With an ELF stippling brush and fairly small amounts, however, my oily, red, large-pore skin faded away and was replaced by even, matte skin. It did not fade all day except when I would sneeze and use a tissue, which is expected. It did not transfer. While it might have felt a bit oily when I touched my chin - and it did occasionally - it looked flawless and not shiny at all. Because of the huge colour difference between my regular, red skin and the colour I am with this on, you can tell I am wearing makeup, but ain't nothin' in the world that is going to make me look natural and I did not expect that from this product. It turns to powder fairly quickly so I would advise working in small areas at a time and not using setting powder, which just makes it LOOK powdery. I have used it with or without primer and it does stay on better with primer, but it lasts a whole work day without when I'm lazy. After applying, it didn't react or have any problems when I dusted blush on top (I've had foundations that pill up). It is expensive. It's picky in application. But it does what it advertises and it looks great. Hopefully I use so little of it at a time that it'll last me an amount of time that $55 should.

  • MAC Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation

I've been using MAC Studio Fix in NC25 for about 4 years now. Because I have oily acne-prone skin, I tend to shy away from liquid foundations (which never seem to stay put). Finding MAC Studio Fix was a dream come true for my oily skin, but it's not without it's faults. Because I use it for coverage as well as oil control, I probably put it on a bit thicker than most. The coverage is AMAZING, but it only keeps my skin matte for maybe 4 hours on a hot day. I'm actually hesitant to reapply because it can look VERY thick and it settles into the fine lines around my mouth If I'm out in a club and its hot and I get sweaty, reapplying with the sponge is out of the question for me, as it looks streaky and patchy. I've recently started using liquid foundation (Clinique Anti-Blemish) with a light layer of MAC Studio Fix, and my face has never looked better! I think most of the negative aspects I found in MAC Studio Fix was because I was using it alone (and a pretty decent amount of it!) for coverage, which by the end of the day would look cakey and gross. But using it now to mainly control shine on my T-Zone, I LOVE IT. This product is definitely my HG. I definitely think the reason I found a problem with it was because I was using too much of it, then reapplying more. Ha! But now that I've learned what makes my skin look good, I don't think I'll ever stop using the combination of Clinique Anti-Blemish Foundation (01 Alabaster) and MAC Studio Fix (NC25)

  • Exuviance Skin Healthy: Home Resurfacing Peel System

I use AHA and BHA products daily and skinceuticals retinol .5% every other night. I did not have any problems with irritation from this system. It contains nine 25% peel pads, cleansing gel, and a neutralizing lotion. Really, I did not need the neutralizer as this peel is very mild compared to using glycolic acid or lactic acid peels. Mandelic acid which is in this peel, is much milder than glycolic acid. I use this kit once or twice a week. I will continue to use it as it works with everything else I am using. The kit also comes with a 30 day supply of day and night cream. I would say that this is a great kit for those sensitive to high percentage glycolic acid peels or for those new to peels to give it a try. The acid peel is a 35% solution containing 15% mandelic acid, 5% glycolic acid and 5% gluconolactone acid. All products in the kit contain paraben preservatives. Update: I noticed that this kit for an unheard of price of $34.95. I paid around $58 for my kit.

  • Make Up For Ever HD High Definition Powder

This powder does everything it claims it does. It makes your skin look absolutely luminous. It's very finely milled, so a little goes a long way. Be careful not to overdo it. Use a really big powder brush (my favorite is Sephora's Pro Allover Powder Brush #61). I use a small dish to tap the powder into and swirl the brush through that to get a light, even application. Try it, you'll love the way your skin glows.

  • Nars Bronzing Powder

I have fair skin and am a bronzer junkie. I really liked NARS Laguna. I used up all of mine fairly quickly. It is shimmery but not over the top shimmer. You can use it to contour but you can also use it just to highlight. Because I am a bronzer junkie, I did not repurchase right away because there were other bronzers I wanted to check out but I can definitely see myself buying this again!

  • Bonne Bell Lip Smacker

I love lip smackers because of the flavors, the scent (on most) and its cheap! I find some flavors have more of a waxy feel and are therefore more moisturizing (like strawberry and watermelon) and the more off the wall flavors (like Skittles or starburst) have a more watery texture, have a more chemical smell and don't last as long.
