Not What I Expected
Several years ago Herbal Essences was my go to hair brand. All of their products have a lovely scent. I remembered really liking what some of their other shampoos and conditioners did for my hair. I ended up switching my shampoo and conditioner just to try something new and didn't return to this brand. When I coloured my hair I had to look for a new shampoo and conditioner b/c the brand I had been using, Aussie, did not have hair products for coloured hair. I decided to go back to this brand b/c I had liked it before and the products are very affordable. As I mentioned earlier they have a lovely scent to them. This product has helped extend the semi-permanent dye in my hair. I've had my hair dyed for about 4 weeks and I have seen very minimal fading. However, I am extremely disappointed in every other area. Before I only had to wash my hair every two or three days. This shampoo has made my extremely oily and caused a lot of build up. I have to wash my hair everyday with this shampoo. This is only going to make my dye fade faster, which is part of the reason I am impressed with how this product has prevented fading. In my opinion, the oil and build up outweighs the lack of fading

Sensitive Skin Beware
First of all, I used this primer and my eye makeup went everywhere within a few hours. So it doesn't even work as a primer. I think my ELF eye primer (which is $1 at the drugstore) worked better, and the ELF primer doesn't work very well. But, for one dollar you are getting better staying power. Second, I had an allergic reaction to this product. I have pretty sensitive skin, but this was the first product my skin actually reacted to. I wore it for a portion of the day. I washed it off. When I woke up the next day my eyes had a yellowish tint to them. I wasn't sure if this was the product I reacted to, so I experimented and would one new product with other products I knew I could wear. I did discover that this was the culprit. One time I applied it to my eyes b/c I had forgotten about my sensitivity to it and it felt like it was burning my skin so I immediately washed it off. I would stay away from this product in general b/c it doesn't work, but definitely be careful if you have any degree of sensitive skin.

My hair is almost always in beach waves. I find this is a good mousse to use for that. You won't get a scrunched look by only using this product. I usually braid my hair first. When I take the braid out I will run this mousse through it to create some differentiation between the waves. One thing I don't like is that it doesn't hold all day I have to reapply a few times in a day. Even with reapplying my hair will look less wavy at the end of the day. It smells good and the texture is nice, the lack of hold bothers me.

My Favourite Mascara
This first time I tried this on I was in love! I am a fan mascaras that have a big wand. You only need one coat to get a falsies look. My lashes never look clumpy. It is the perfect mix of length and volume. I use this everyday. You can also buy a mini BadGal Lash at Sephora, which is perfect for when you are on the go. I would recommend this product to everyone.

Sensitive Eyes Be Careful
I really love the way Benefit products look. However, you really need to be careful with this one. My eyes have never reacted to make up before. It didn't sting when I first put it on. When I place it in my inner corner my eyes will be off-white the next day even if I use make up remover. The product itself is really gorgeous. It does create a subtle highlight that reflects light really nicely. I find it is easy to blend which is really nice. I just wish I wasn't allergic to it.

Saves My Hair on a Daily Basis
So, I love all things Aussie. I have used salon brands, and almost all of the nonsalon brands; they all worked fine, but I am never going to use another brand again. I have relatively straight hair with lots of volume, but I like to braid my hair a lot. The braids make my hair frizzy and gross, but if I don't get a chance to wash my hair, I just spritz a little of this. My hair is always silky smooth and wonderful in the morning
