Here are all my reviews:
  • Jergens Natural Glow Healthy Complexion Daily Facial Moisturizer with SPF 20

I love that this gives natural color and that it doesn't contain comedogenic ingredients. It's not very moisturizing, however. Despite having oily skin, after a few days of use my skin started looking scaly. I started using this on alternate days to prevent the dryness.

Listerine Total Care Zero Fresh Mint Anticavity Mouthwash

If you like the burn, this aint for you.

Personally, i HATE the burn associated with mouthwash, but love the fresh, clean feeling it leaves. I bought this on a whim the other day since we were out of the regular listerine. My bf hates this because he actually LIKES the burn (weirdo), but i like the fact it doesn't. He also said it tasted bad, but i think it tastes the same: minty. The whole reason we use it is to improve gum health and get fresher breath and as far i'm concerned, it does it's job, pain-free. One thing i really didn't like is you have to swish this around in your mouth for a full minute, regular listerine takes only 30 seconds. It's hard for me to breath through my nose (thank you deviated septum) so by the time i'm done swishing, i'm breathing like i just ran a marathon. It's really sad, lol. In the future i'll probably buy this again for me and get the regular stuff for my masochist bf.

  • Shea Moisture Raw Shea Butter Restorative Conditioning Milk

So I had no idea this product was intended for ethnic hair. I had read glowing reviews about it online and went to target to buy a bottle and it was in the ethnic hair section. Considering i have super straight, fine hair, you would think this would've turned me off. But no. I loved that this product had an all natural ingredient list, that it's cruelty free and eco friendly. Plus, my ends were so damaged and dry i was willing to try anything before having to cut my locks off. Purchasing this with it's shampoo partner was the best conditioner purchase i've ever made outside of a department store! This is a heavy duty conditioner! My hair drank it up and fell in love. After my shower, my hair felt kinda weighted down and not very clean, but i was amazed after i blow-dried! My hair was perfectly shiny and smooth, no fly aways and i had amazing volume, with no other products. (I guess that "clean" feeling i got from other types of shamp+cond isn't what my hair really needs?) And at $10 a bottle at Target, this is my new HG hair combo. I'm thinking i might be trying more products in the ethnic hair section now. :)

Purchasing this with it's conditioning partner was the best shampoo purchase i've ever made outside of a department store! This is truly the most moisturizing shampoo i've ever used. There are two drawbacks for me: one, the scent is very strong and perfumey, not my favorite. and two, it doesn't lather or spread very well which leads to more product use to cover my scalp. After using the matching conditioner, my hair felt kinda weighted down and not very clean, but i was amazed after i blow-dried! My hair was perfectly shiny and smooth, no fly aways and i had amazing volume, with no other products. • Veet Ready-to-Use Wax Strips Legs and Body

The first time i tried to use these, they didn't pick up a single hair. My skin must've been super oily or something? I tried it on my legs, arms and underarms -nada. So i tried it again the next day after a shower and it worked better. They still did nothing for my underarms but worked on my legs decently. Didn't get everything, but each piece could be used twice so that was a bonus. The wipes that come with these are horrible. They don't get the wax off and leave your skin oily and gross; i had to take a second shower. My skin was red for about a day then looked better. There are better waxing products out there but these could do in a pinch.

  • Astara Blue Flame Purifying Gel Cleanser

If you're into natural products and home-made beauty products, you know that fresher is better. But did you also know colder is better too? I don't mean freezing cold, don't go throwing your soap in the freezer or anything. What i mean is cold processed products: products made without heating the ingredients over 104 degrees. (think of what happens when you over-cook vegetables, yuck!) Astara claims to use all natural, cold-processed ingredients, which is great, especially when you see their prices! But i really feel you're getting your money's worth here. A little goes a long way with this cleanser. It's not a rock star when it comes to removing eye-makeup, i use my Jane Iredale magic mitt first to remove makeup, or a cotton pad soaked in jojoba oil, then cleanse to treat my acne-prone, congested skin. It is a bit strong so sensitive skin beware. The tea tree in it burns, especially if you have raw skin. But i have noticed an improvement in the clarity of my skin. Also, despite being strong, it doesn't dry out my skin; which is a first when it comes so acne cleansers. I think it may be because this lacks a detergent (read: sulfates). It doesn't foam much because of this and i LOVE that. People need to realize that foamy does NOT equal clean. It just strips the skin. After using this to wash my face, my skin is squeaky clean and smooth, it looks like i just exfoliated. The smell is herbal and medicinal; i'm not the biggest fan, but it fades quickly after rinsing and doesn't aggravate my allergies so I tolerate it. The bottom line is: this product works. And without stripping your skin, I'm willing to dish out the cash for it.

  • SkinCeuticals Physical Fusion UV Defense SPF 50

It's pretty common knowledge these days that sunscreen is a must for healthy, beautiful skin. But if you have a problem with acne and/or sensitive skin, you're no stranger to the horrors of sunscreen. They burn, they're greasy and they cause breakouts. If you do some research on sunscreen ingredients you'll learn to avoid "chemical" blockers (like avobenzone, benzophenone, octyl methoxycinnamate and PABA for example) which can burn and cause breakouts. You'll find it's better to use a sunscreen with "physical" blockers: titanium dioxide and zinc oxide. Problem solved? not exactly. These ingredients are white, super opaque white, and they tend to make you look dead or like a not-so-beautiful geisha. So if you're using a sunscreen with physical blockers you'll probably want a tinted formula to alleviate this problem. And cue skinceuticals physical fusion uv defense. This is the ONLY sunscreen I've used that hasn't caused major problems for my skin. It does burn a little at first but hasn't caused any redness. I actually cringed the first time i put this on my skin, it feels greasy before it sets in. The tinted formula is supposed to be "universal" but I can't see this looking good on really pale or really dark skin. I'm right in between light and medium with yellow undertones and i find this a little to pinky-orange. Luckily it's not very obvious and works out with a light dusting of mineral makeup (and it actually helps make my skin tone look more even!) It's lasted through hours of sweating from workouts (and a few major DIY landscaping adventures), I haven't swam with it yet so i can't contest to it's waterproof abilities. My biggest qualm with this product is the price. It's $30 for a tiny 1 .7 oz. bottle! To have finally found a sunscreen that doesn't make me breakout, however, is worth every penny. I will use this for life.

they absorb 10 times better than rice paper, a MUST HAVE if you have oily skin. Doesn't remove your makeup at all.

  • Smashbox O-Plump Intuitive Lip Plumper

I've tried just about every plumper out there. This is my number one pick for the following reasons: 1. It doesn't burn the living cr@p out of my lips. 2. The gloss isn't extreme or sticky (it has a perfect shine, doesn't look like i've been sucking on a tube of oil) 3. It goes on clear and makes my lips a perfect shade of pink. 4. Unlike a lot of other plumpers, it doesn't dry out my lips. As far as the plumping goes, it makes my lips noticeably fuller but not like a bad lip injection lol.

    Benefit Lipscription

    must do before a date!

The scrub makes my lips kissably soft, the scentless, flavorless balm is silky, not sticky. the scrubbing also plumps my lips a bit, they look line-less and full.
