    China Glaze Crackle

    LOVE China Glaze Crackle!

I saw magazine ads for crackle polish, and knew I had to at least TRY this trend. :P I received two bottles to review for weheartthis .com--Cracked Concrete (grey creme) and Heartbreaker (pink creme). Both colors are opaque and pigmented. The texture is nice, although a little thick. The price is okay. I love the color options too. Decent/above average length of wear. I lent my bottle to a friend, who gave herself a pedi that withstood paint and scrubbing for two weeks! I tried Sally Hansen crackle and it was nowhere near as good. China Glaze Crackle polish is fabulous! ***Notes about crackle polish in general: It's easy to apply, and you can vary the size of the crackle by varying the thickness of the crackle coat--a thicker coat means fewer but bigger cracks, a thinner coat means many but very small cracks. Definitely make sure your base coat layer is COMPLETELY dry before applying the crackle top coat. This means the whole mani takes a bit longer than average, but not too bad. Also, crackle polish might not be okay for some office places. But fun for the weekend! It might not be a good product for gals who want their mani to be absolutely perfect, because the crackle is a little unpredictable, and it adds thickness/texture to the nail. Lastly, by changing the direction of the brush stroke, you can kind of change the direction of the crackle.

  • Wet n Wild Color Icon Blusher

This blush is amazing! Super pigmented and there is tons of product in the pan. I wish they had more colors because the two I've tried are AWESOME. The packaging looks a little cheap, and yes, the brush that it comes with isn't very useful, but so what? They look great on my cheeks all day. I'm really impressed with these. For $2.99, they're a steal!

  • Maybelline New York Shiny-licious Lip Gloss

Maybelline New York Shiny-licious Lip Gloss

A basic lipgloss (with a silly name).

I have this in 89 Coral Punch. It has a decent amount of color, but only a bit of shine. It's a little tacky feeling, and the scent is kind of artificially sweet. Mine has a plastic slant tip applicator, not a fuzzy one like in the picture. It's just an okay gloss. I wouldn't repurchase it though, because there are better glosses out there.

  • Victoria's Secret Beauty Rush Lip Gloss

I've tried a few of these, as well as Victoria's Secret Sweet Talk. Sweet Talk is definitely thinner and less sticky, but other than that, they're pretty similar. The Beauty Rush glosses come in different flavors/scents and colors, but all of them are very sheer (many of them are practically colorless, very few will add a sheer tint to your lips). They do give you a good amount of shine though, and there's just a tiny bit of shimmer. They're fairly inexpensive, especially if you get them on sale. I like the easy to use squeeze tube with the plastic slanted applicator. Personally, I think that these are fun glosses, but just okay in the quality department. They're kind of sticky, and the scents are kind of artificial/cheap smelling. I agree with the TB Editor's review that they're like cheap, knockoff Juicy Tubes (both are overrated).

  • Buxom Big & Healthy Lip Stick

Buxom Big & Healthy Lip Stick

I'm not a lipstick sort of gal...

But I was excited to try these. I bought a set of 4 Buxom glosses and 4 Buxom lip sticks on sale. The scent is vanilla mint, and fairly pleasant (maybe a little medicinal). They do make your lips tingle, although not as badly as the lipglosses do. The color options are nice also. It does wear a bit longer than a regular lipstick, the packaging is nice, it's easy to apply with precision because it's a chunky automatic lip pencil, and it isn't drying. However, it will definitely make chapped/dry lips look worse, and it is a little expensive. I'm not sure that I'd repurchase these.

  • Bath & Body Works White Barn Candle Co. Wallflowers Refills

I used to buy these for my dorm room. The scents are fabulous, and they last a long time. It is annoying that if you accidentally knock one over, it'll leak. They can be a bit spendy, but it's worth it to have your home smell nice. They're on sale frequently though! I love the warm vanilla sugar--it smells like you just made cookies. I've been using Scentsy wickless burners, but it's kind of expensive, and I think I'll go back to BBW wallflowers.

  • Oscar Blandi Pronto Dry Shampoo

I was iffy about the whole dry shampoo trend when I first heard about it.... it seemed like I just should wash my hair in the shower. But my hair has become so heat damaged that I do need to give it a break from styling, while still having my hair look decent. So when this was on sale at Sephora for only $9, I decided to give it a try. Dry shampoo does a great job letting me get another day or two out of a blowout. :) This particular one is white, but once rubbed in, doesn't discolor hair. I like to sprinkle some on my hands, rub them together, and then rub it into my hair. It keeps my hair from looking greasy for a whole extra day! The Oscar Blandi dry shampoo smells fabulous, like verbena. I love this product and would definitely repurchase it, even at full price.

    Orly Bonder

    It's alright

This seems to turn my nails yellow whether I use a dark polish or a light one. It may have even made my manicures last for LESS time than without a base coat :(

  • Avon SKIN SO SOFT Original Bath Oil Spray

Avon SKIN SO SOFT Original Bath Oil Spray

My grandma put it on me as a kid.

I'm not crazy about the scent, but it does seem to repel insects somewhat. I like that it's safe to use and inexpensive. The only thing is that while it is moisturizing, it feels SO GREASY!

  • Avon Bubble Delight Bubble Bath

My mom used to buy these when I was a kid, and they're great! They make the bath nice and bubbly, and are reasonably priced, especially when you can get some on sale! I love how they have so many scents too.
