Best so far
I have tried SO many eyeliners, it's ridiculous, but this one seems to perform the best. It has a great smooth, almost creamy texture, has a good color, and stays well. It's also much less expensive than some high-end eyeliners that are about the same quality. The only problem was that it was a bit harder to remove than my other makeup, even waterproof mascara and long lasting lipstick. Well, nobody's perfect and we can't expect eyeliners to be either, although it is a rather good buy for the price.

I absolutely LOVE L’ Oreal’s Double Extension Beauty Tubes Mascara. I was really shocked to see that this mascara had such a low rating—it’s my favorite mascara so far! I first bought this on a whim about 3 months ago and it’s been my favorite ever since. It works like this- you have to use the white primer first to protect your eyelashes, then use the normal black mascara, so they don’t fall out during removal. DO NOT skip this step if you want to keep your eyelashes! I really like the fact that the primer is white so that you make sure you don’t miss any when applying the black. It might take more time, but the result is definitely worth it! This mascara delivers length and volume. This is due to the fact that the mascara makes silicon-y “tubes” (hence the name beauty tubes) AROUND your lashes, which makes them appear much fuller. Although it weighs down uncurled lashes, it stays still and can hold a curl well. It never clumps, and it’s easy to fix mistakes. But my favorite part of this mascara is that it doesn’t budge or flake one bit! Due to the unique formula, it doesn’t smudge or end up under my eyes, like most mascaras ( I have super oily eyelids, and i'm a runner, so this is really important to me). One weird thing about the mascara is that it’s really strange to wash off. It comes off ridiculously easily, you just have to wet them and kind of gently rub them, but it looks like your eyelashes are falling out because the coats are slipping off! This mascara is FAR from waterproof, because if you get it wet, you’ll end up with little black things under your eyes! I’m completely in love with this product. THANK YOU, L’OREAL! I will be repurchasing.

I absolutely love Neutrogena’s make up remover towelettes. They are a m a z i n g! I first bought them a few years ago and fell in love! Not only are they incredibly cheap, only 7 dollars at my local RiteAid, they take off make up super easily even when i am really tired and don’t quite feel like washing my face. They’re really gentle, even on the eyes. (I have tried SO many make up removers that sting eyes, even if they claim they’re “gentle.”) it is nothing short of amazing that just one sheet of these can remove all of my makeup. I actually cut them in half because they work so well that it’s kind of a waste to use a full sheet. It even takes off long lasting lipstick, waterproof mascara, and goopy lip gloss easily. I find that it’s easiest to hold them onto the makeup for a couple of seconds to dissolve the makeup, then wipe it off. These are also really great for acne prone people like me (I have the oiliest face EVER) because they aren’t irritating and don’t leave an oily residue on the face like other brands (almay, I’m talking about you!) most of the time I don’t even have to wash my face after using these wipes because they cleanse the face pretty well. My only vice about them is the packaging. They’re sealed in this really flimsy plastic bag sort of thing, with a sticker opening on top (like packs of oreos). If you have a messy makeup bag like me, the bits of powder and eyeshadow and cake liner get stuck in the sticky part and then it doesn’t seal properly, and then the problem is they dry up, making them pretty much useless. But packaging aside, these are probably my favorite makeup remover, and I would definitely recommend them!

I usually lean towards pencil liners when it comes to eye liner; I never really thought that I would like anything else. When I tried this felt tip though, I immediately fell in love. I believe I have finally found the holy grail of eyeliners. First of all, I love the idea of a felt tip; pencil liners are fine but need to be sharpened regularly, liquid liners are tricky to use, and cake liners just do not provide enough pigments. I love felt tips because they do not need to be sharpened, are easy on clumsy girls like me, and can be very VERY dark. This felt tip liner was great because the one I bought was nice and dark (I purchased it in Carbon Black) and did not smear or flake or fade or move around all day. It also did not move even when I purposely rubbed my eyes a little bit to see how it was doing. Still, it washed off easily enough with my usual makeup remover (breath of relief). An added bonus is that the packaging is also nice, and does not draw attention. I prefer L’Oréal and Revlon to other drugstore brands because I am such a packaging snob. I seriously cannot stand Maybelline’s neon purple and green tubes. I generally adore L’Oréal products, since they are such high quality for such a low price. This eyeliner is absolutely perfect: it is long lasting, dark, affordable, and easy to apply. What else could you want in an eye liner? I would definitely recommend it to anyone. I have already bought some for my friends as gifts and they also LOVE them! If you are ever out of your favorite eyeliner or just want to try something new, visit your local drugstore and try this out!

cute but cheap
I was at Rite Aid and these nail polishes caught my eye. They were on sale for 69 cents a bottle, so I bought silver and a reddish tangerine color. They are ridiculously cheap and have lots of cute colors, but they peel and chip after a couple of days. The polish actually separated into this goopy stuff and a yellowish liquid on top. This was only after a few weeks. I went back to the drugstore and bought it again, thinking it was just a bad bottle, but the same thing happened! The polish on my nails came right off after I went swimming, even though I had a base coat and a top coat. I ended up throwing the polishes away even though most of it was left. I guess I got what I paid for but I was still kind of disappointed. These are mostly just good fo r testing out which colors look good on you. Next time, I'll stick with Essie.

one of the best
I bought this at an airport- yay duty free shopping!- since my friends said it was great and I had to try it. It made my lashes much longer and thicker, while remaining soft, with only one coat. I absolutely love it! It lasted all day and came off easily. My only complaint is that it was so expensive. Otherwise, it's my favorite.

I LOVE this lip balm because not only is the packaging really cute, it makes my lips feel smooth and is organic too! I like that the flavor/scent isn't overpowering or chemical and that there's so much of it- I've had it for a year and I'm only half done. It takes some getting used to since the packaging is so unconventional, but I love it!

The diamond set into the bottle was what caught my eye. I thought it was really cute and got a dark purple color. It was a pretty color, but wore off far too quickly and the rest of the polish dried up in just a few months, so it wasn't really worth the money.

I needed an emergency topcoat and this was only $1.99, so I bought it. It was a complete waste of time and money. It started developing these little cracks in under an hour and chipped off in a couple of hours. You're better off without any topcoat.

Really not much to like...
I thought it would be interesting to try out a mousse type foundation so I purchased this for only nine dollars. As it turns out, it wasn't even worth half that much. Upon opening the pot, I observed that it was way too orange for pretty much anyone. I decided to put it on anyways just for the heck of it, and regretted it. It made my oily spots break out and my dry spots noticeably flaky. When I tried to wash it off my hands, the water beaded up and it was hard to remove even with makeup remover. The only thing that was good about it was the packaging, which was very sturdy and fit easily into my makeup bag.
