    Doesn't Absorb Well

I bought this moisturizer because of all the rave reviews and it was the reader's choice from Allure. I don't like this at all. I use this after my showers or baths at the end of the night. It doesn't absorb well into the skin....it feels sticky. I wake up the next day, still feeling sticky all over. I hate that sticky feeling and I can't imagine feeling that way all day if I was to put it on before going out and about. Will not be buying again.

Nice But Ready To Try Something Else

I bought this at Target. My lazy day moisturizer was running low and I saw this so I thought I'd give this a go. I have a couple of different moisturizers that I wear depending on how my skin is or what I'll be putting on my skin. I call this my lazy day moisturizer because I have a moisturizer that I wear when I don't want to put anything on my face other than a moisturizer so it's a beater really. It has a fairly low SPF in it so it's great for me when I want to lounge around the house or when I going out in the evenings to a movie or get some groceries, or when I feel my skin just needs a break from everything. This is light, absorbs pretty fast into my skin, has a very faint pleasant smell to it. It moisturizes my skin, and it light enough that I feel my skin can breathe. If I plan on going out during the day, I'd wear something with a higher SPF. Overall, it's ok. I don't wear this as my daily moisturizer so it's taken me forever to finish it. I am finally getting down to the bottle. I think it's ok, it's nice, but I'm ready to try something else. For reference, I have dry-combination sensitive skin, dry on the cheeks especially in the cold months, and a slightly oily T-Zone.

    Rimmel London Lash Maxxx

Love It For My Bottom Lashes!

I bought this specifically for my bottom lashes because of the lash comb wand. I have very short and straight upper lashes and my needless to say, my bottom lashes look nearly non-existent. So it's difficult to apply mascara to my bottom lashes because the of the big wands and it gets messy. This worked out great for my lower lashes....I get every one of them and makes my bottom lashes beautiful. Looks like I have a little more lashes on the bottom and a little longer, very natural looking. I love this for that. I've never used this on my upper lashes so I can't say whether this mascara lives up to its claim. But as for the lower lashes...I love it.

  • L'Oreal Paris Voluminous Original Mascara

I quite like this mascara! I think this is one of the best drugstore mascara that I've ever used. I have very short and straight lashes. This mascara gives me full beautiful lashes. I'm currently using this as my everyday mascara. One coater for everyday lashes....gives me a natural yet full lashes, does not look overly done for the day. This mascara is buildable...2-3 coats will give you super luscious lashes for the evenings!

  • Alba Pineapple Enzyme Facial Cleanser

I have combination-dry skin. My cheeks tend to get dry in the colder months. This is the first time I've ever used Alba Organics and seeing that this product seem to have more or less good reviews, I decided to try it. I've been using this for a week now and so far, I'm not liking it. It completely stripped my skin especially my cheeks and my T-Zone was more oily than usual in the mornings. By the end of the week, my cheeks were rather irritated, feeling tight and dry. I broke out from using the cleanser, mainly from my skin trying to produce more oil to compensate for the dryness. Not a happy camper. The cleanser smells great though.

  • Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm

This is a decent lip balm...gives the lips a nice tingle and minty feel. I don't particularly love this product, but I don't particularly dislike it either. I find myself reapplying this lip balm quite often throughout the day and my lips tend to dry out more often when I'm using this lip balm compared to other lip balms that I've used. I have to really look after my lips because they tend to dry no matter what time of year it is. I would recommend this lip balm to others because it is a decent product, but like another reviewer mentioned, I also personally prefer the EOS lip balms for everyday and Blistex lip treatments for extremely damaged lips especially during the harsh winter months. I personally like the texture and feel of the EOS lip balms more. I would say that this is an overall decent product, it gets the job done, and is widely available, and easily accessible.

  • Tom's of Maine Natural Long-Lasting Deodorant Stick

I picked up this deodorant because it was natural and aluminum free. It turns out this is by far, my worst deodorant ever! I have this in the apricot scent. It smells nice...light fruity scent, not over powering or overwhelming, but this product does not work! The first time I put this on, I was out all day and maybe 3-4 hours in, I started noticing a slight odor scent. I took a whiff of my underarms and I was in a panic attack. I thought it had to do with me perspiring more than I normally do that day because it was super hot day and causing me to have a slight BO. I kept my arms down for the rest of the day, self conscious that others around me may smell me. So from that point on, I would put on my deodorant in the mornings, and take it with me in my handbag. I find myself sniffing my underarms and checking for BO. I do find that I have to reapply this product like every 3 hours or so. This is terrible. I'm someone who don't have BO, never have BO, and this deodorant for whatever reason, caused me to have slight BO! I think it is from the lack of protection in the perspiration department. Who knows. Or maybe the formula is just not for me....my body chemistry + the formula of the product = sweaty underarms and BO. I think this product is great for someone who does not need a lot of protection and can do without deodorant....this would be the perfect product for that person! It'll give light protection for someone who don't really need it. For us gals who need a little more or moderate protection, this product is not for you! Save yourself the embarrassment, self consciousness, and trouble of carrying an extra deodorant in your handbag for reapplication -- this isn't your lipstick after lunch. I will not be buying this again!

  • EOS Smooth Sphere Lip Balm

I LOVE this!! It smells so good and it feels divine on the lips! I really have to look after my lips. If I don't look after them or slack, they tend to dry and get flakey, no matter what season it is. And we all know dry lips are not sexy! I have this lip balm in Summer Fruit and Sweet Mint. It comes in other scents/flavors that I'm sure is equally fabulous. My husband has this in the Honeysuckle Honeydew and loves it, but he told me that he much prefer the scent and taste of Summer Fruit. It smells so good, that when I left it on my side table, my dog stole it when I wasn't looking. When I had realized my lip balm was missing, it was too late....he figured out a way to to open the ball and ate the lip balm as though it was a treat....SIGH!!! I found the ball container in his hideout with no balm left! It's a good thing that the lip balm wasn't hazardous to him or poisonous -- this was a huge relief for me. I spent the next hour worrying he might be terribly sick from it. Fortunately, the vet assured me, he'll be ok. So lesson learned, do not put yummy smelling lip balms at bedside table or anywhere, where 4 legged munchkins can get to. Since my dog ate my Summer Fruit, I got a 2nd one in Sweet Mint. I wanted to try a different flavor. The Sweet Mint gives a nice tingle on the lips from and feels & smells minty which I also love. The fact that this product is "organic" and the packaging is eco friendly is a huge plus in my book. I love that this product has minimal packaging....literally is sold in the ball you see with a plastic shrink wrap around it for security and safety reasons to assure that the actual lip balm has not been tampered with. I love the actual ball design. I can get the product on both my top and bottom lip in one easy swipe although I like 2 swipes. These lip balms also come in a stick form, but I prefer the ball form because it's much more fun!

  • Laura Mercier Oil-Free Foundation

    Laura Mercier Oil-Free Foundation

Good Foundation But A No-Go For Me!

For reference, I have combination-dry skin, NC 20-25, fair skin with yellow undertones. I'm on the fence about this foundation. I'm torn. I was definitely impressed when I first tried the foundation because I bought it. I was matched to Sunny Beige. I'm unsure about the staying power of this liquid foundation. Of the times I've worn it, I have found that in about 4 hours, the foundation starts to disperse mainly on my nose and a little just on both sides of my nose. Everywhere else, coverage stays put. I always use the LM Oil-Free Foundation Primer under all my liquid foundations and I always have to set my foundation with LM Translucent Loose Powder. I would say that this is definitely a good quality foundation. It looks and feel very natural, it's got a good medium coverage, it's very blendable, and it's very buildable. I'm not sure if this formulation is for me. Maybe the formula plus the chemistry of my skin put together is a no-go. I would definitely recommend this foundation to others, but as I know the formula hasn't quite worked out for me, I probably wouldn't be repurchasing this liquid foundation again in the future.
