    The Body Shop Lip Color

    CREAMY AND NICE

i got this lipstick in Soft Beige when it was on sale 50% off. and the color was exactly a soft beige just like the name, which went well with smokey eyes. the lipstick texture was kinda hard and didn't glide on my lips at first, but after a few applications, the texture became creamier and easier to use. if you're looking for a long-lasting lipstick, then this is definitely not a product you would want because it only lasts an hour or so, and even shorter if you're eating or using your lips excessively haha. so you need to reapply it pretty often, and be sure to apply lip balm as well since it can be a bit over-drying. but i love the sleek silver packaging, the tube is very small and portable, like a little bullet! i think this lipstick isn't really worth it for The Body Shop's full prices, which can be kind of expensive for some people. but it is definitely worth it on sale! so keep your eyes on those sales!!

Maybelline New York Mineral Power Illuminator

AWESOME FOR THE BODY, BUT NOT FOR THE FACE!!!

i bought this powder thinking it would be like a highlighter for my cheekbones, but it turned out to be pure shimmer and sparkles. it is literally like applying glitter to your face. i was really disappointed with it at first, because there's no way i would step out of my house with all that sparkle on my face. and it leaves quite a mess too when you apply it, because you end up having sparkles everywhere. BUT then eventually i found a good use for this powder!!! it works amazing as a body glitter powder, especially for nights out on the town! i use the kabuki brush (which actually works pretty well for such a small size) to lightly dust the powder over my collarbones, chest and shoulders. and the result beautiful! if you have this product hidden away in your drawer, thinking you'll never use it again, try getting it back out and using it as body glitter like me instead :))

  • Maybelline New York Instant Age Rewind Primer Skin Transformer

this was the first primer that i ever bought, and it was not bad for a drugstore primer! the tube is nice and not too big/not too small, it is easy to carry around in your makeup bag. and the primer itself is a clear color. what i loved the most about this is that you only need a tiny pea-sized amount to cover your entire face, so one tube will last you a really long time! it will make your skin feel super smooth and soft afterwards, like baby skin! i was really surprised, i had no idea primers could have that much of a smoothing effect. but keep in mind that it just makes your skin FEEL smooth, but it doesn't help to make it LOOK smooth. however i felt like it didn't do much for making my makeup stay on longer or anything like that, so that was kind of a bummer. so in conclusion, the only thing this primer does is make your skin feel amazingly smooth, but that's as far as it goes!!

  • Banana Boat Baby Tear Free Sunblock SPF 50

i was trying to find a sunscreen for my sensitive skin, and i figured that if this sunscreen is safe enough for babies then it must be safe enough for me to use too. and it was great! it has a soft and pleasant smell, not a nutty or coconutty scent like other sunscreens. i didn't turn red or get any sunburn after using it, but i did have to reapply every several hours. the only bad thing was that the cream didn't absorb into my skin as fast as i would've liked, and it was too sticky. i don't think i will buy it again because of that since i prefer lighter and faster-absorbing creams, but it was a good product overall.

Clean & Clear Oil Absorbing Sheets

NEVER LEAVE THE HOUSE WITHOUT THEM!

as a person with oily skin, i never leave the house without these! they are always in my purse, readily available! they are great at absorbing the oil off my face, especially in the late afternoon when my face is at it's oiliest state. one little sheet has more than enough absorbing power for your entire face, so it's really worth it. it doesn't leave any residue on your face either, and your makeup stays intact! your skin will look matte and shine-free after using them. but keep in mind that these sheets don't prevent your face from becoming oily later on in any way, they just simply absorb whatever oil is on your face at that moment. highly recommended!

  • Maybelline New York Volum' Express The Colossal Waterproof Mascara

i have tried a lot of maybelline's mascaras, and this one isn't exactly one of their best mascaras, but it's not one of their worst either. i thought the brush was a bit too fat, which made it hard to get all the little lashes in the corners of your eyes. and the brush wasn't curved either, so it made it even harder to get the mascara in deep at the roots of your lashes. but the texture was smooth and didn't clump, and it is very much build-able. you can apply several coats and it still wont clump or look messy. it did add volume to my lashes, but not as much as i would've like. it also tended to leave dark smudges underneath my eyes during the afternoon after i've been wearing it all day, which can make you look really under-groomed! this mascara is cheap, so it's a good choice for anyone looking for an average performance mascara. but as for me, i personally prefer Maybelline's Expressin the Falsies Waterproof Mascara. i think it is much better than this one and it is only a bit more expensive, but sooo much more worth it!!!!

  • Maybelline New York Volum' Express The Falsies Waterproof Mascara

this is by far, my most favorite drugstore mascara!! and trust me, i have tried a looooot of drugstore mascaras. of course this mascara by maybelline doesn't make your lashes look like fake lashes like the name suggests, but it is definitely the next best thing to wearing fake lashes! the brush is a curved and is a good size, it is great at getting all the little lashes towards the corners of your eyes. the texture goes on smooth and doesn't clump or smear against your upper eyelid. however you do need to curl your lashes beforehand and apply several coats to get your lashes blackened, volumized and thick-looking. the good thing is that you can apply many coats and it wont clump like some volumizing mascaras, and it also wont leave your lashes looking like spider legs like some lengthening mascaras. i love how during the end of the day, it doesnt smudge underneath my eyes either! it takes me about 1 and a half months to go through one tube, but luckily it is affordable so i can keep re-buying it. i'd definitely encourage others to give this mascara a try!! :)

  • CoverGirl Cheekers Blush

    CoverGirl Cheekers Blush

Nice color, good quality for its price!

I have this in Rose Silk and I really like the color! It is like a pinkish coralish tone, with some shimmer. It goes on nicely, but the little brush is pretty stiff and useless though so I recommend using a bigger and fluffier blush brush. The color tends to disappear halfway throughout the day, but luckily the packaging is tiny so that I can carry it in my bag and reapply it anytime I want to! The bag thing about it is that it has an unpleasant makeup-ish scent. But overall, It's a good deal for its cheap price, and there is a wide variety of cute colors to choose from. I'm sure everyone can find a color that matches their skin tone! :)

  • Olay Total Effects Fragrance-Free Daily Moisturizer

I've always been a huge fan of Olay products, and I have tried both the Original and Fragrance-Free version of this product. I prefer this Fragrance-Free one because, for me, it's less thick and feels lighter than the Original, but it still has the same moisturizing effect as the Original. I love how it absorbs quickly and is less oily than the Original version. I think it's a good option for people with sensitive skin like me because it won't clog up your pores and make you break out.

  • Bath & Body Works Anti-Bacterial Deep Cleansing Hand Soap

I have gone through so many bottles of this hand soap! I love love looooove it because it comes in so many scents and it leaves my hands feel soft, clean and smelling awesome! It also left my hands feeling moisturized, unlike other hand soaps which tend to dry out your hands. You only need to pump out a tiny amount, one little pump will create a lot of lather in your hands, so one bottle lasts a very long time :D
