I have found that I don't have to use the product for the full 10 days to see a visible difference. In fact, I usually see quite a difference the second day. I agree that it can be painful if you use it as directed. My solution is to use the product 1 to 3 times or until I feel a slight discomfort. Then I don't use it again for a few week. I also brush with Sendodyne (also with whitening agent). I can't imagine how white my teeth would get if I were able to use it for the full course!
