    Pixi Eye Bright Kit

this REALLY works..so its worth the $24

Thank the lord for pixi at target. Seriously. The instructions are totally foolproof, and my circles are dark DARK purple. Not anymore! This is 10 steps above Almay Bright Eyes cause this one *truly covers* it does not cake! I have to say I was miffed that I was between shades....as in, there are 3 shades, light med, dark, and i LOVED one on the light, one on the dark, and two on the medium so the medium is what i bought. I really want the dark one for the summer or if I start self tanning like a maniac again. This product is one of those miracles where you dont have to use a lot AT ALL and the colors may shock you in the package - like, WHY would I use pink/orange/white there??? but trust me. they worked in perfect unison to fix my super huge flaw. when the colors go on THEY BRIGHTEN, they do NOT DRAW ATTENTION TO THE AREA! again, thank you pixi and target far making my circles less awful!

    Anastasia Brow Gel

    bushy brows look polished!

big brows are all the rage in fall runways. every year i grow mine in, and they look a hot mess. this is a high quality gel that keeps my brows in place. that's a tough job since the arches are barely there to begin with (there is no definition because i only pluck the strays) and they grow in different directions. this is totally worth the money and i will buy it again.

  • MAC Powder Blush

    MAC Powder Blush

Good "everyday" blush, skip it for long nights though.

Im going to review the two i have in my everyday makeup bag: Sheertone Blush in Blushbaby and Powderblush in Margin. Blushbaby is a more serious solid color even though it is a sheertone. Margin is your run of the mill, shimmery, looks-good-on-everyone type of blush. If you want to have other parts of your face stand out such as a dark smokey eye or a defined lip, these blushes will let you contour withought throwing your look off balance. if you want it to stay put i recommend applying while your foundation is still setting, and don't try to layer them over powder. if you need it to last all night you need a seting spray but i don't own one so i can't vouch for this product lasting all night. it will disappear very quickly! they don't, however, compare to any of my Nars or Lancome blushes but I think that's expected of this line. both of the other brands of blush do last and have more impact than the MAC

  • MAC Mineralize Skinfinish

mine's called Soft and Gentle. i'm pale right now, but im normally a dark olive caucasian girl due to tanning and the tone i devlelop when i tan. well, i'm pale enough for this powder but i'm not in love ith it. i hoped it would help hide undereye circles by reflecting the light. it will last forever because it's a generous size. i can't put it all over as i'd like to because it is too shimmery for some spots. You don't need a lot due to its high intensity. as username Kghraulty said in her review before me, you can't use it as a highlighter but that's what i bought it for. i truly loved the other, more bronze ones but i switched to prescritives from the drugstore - this Mac one was over $30 and the prescriptives was $7 and had better coverage; plus it is "organic" while mac's mineralize, well, i doubt it is even pure minerals. probably full of yucky environmental hazards, as well as mica and talc which aren't so good for us to breathe.

    MAC Mineralize Eye Shadow Duo

    IN-tense! Gorgeous!

Like poster Jxdavis said, you will draw attention to yourself, and it is great for special occasions. I, too, wish i had more places to wear this. Your eyes command attention! I bought the one with greys and I am SO glad i did. I wish there were more colors and more "opposite" contarsting ones sold together, or a few of these together in a palette, as i am a big fan of cusom blending. It is phenominal it is lasts forever because it's a generous size and you don't need a lot due to its high intensity.. 10 STARS!

  • CoverGirl LashBlast Volume Waterproof Mascara

The brush does seem awkward at fist, and after a month i still make some smudgy mistakes sometimes, but for an everyday mascara, it makes the lashes look great! I curl before i apply the mascara, let it dry while doing my bottom lashes, then do a 2nd coat on top, finishing with a 2nd curl. BAM! big lashes for everyday, but not flashy, like wearing diorshow over falsies like you would at a nightclub.

  • ModelCo Star Smile Tooth Whitener + Lipstick

i dont know if the tooth whitener really works, but i do love the lipstick color. it is a very light raspberry purple which is very flattering on lots of skintones. i figure even if the whitener doesnt work, it might prevent red wine stains from setting while im out (an unable to brush).

  • Almay Smart Shade Makeup

    Almay Smart Shade Makeup

    Everyone loves it, but me

It is uneven where the most color lies. i'd reccommend using a sponge and mixing it up on the back of your hand rather than applying it straight to a brush or with fingers. it does NOT seem to cover any undereye circles. it makes freckles look "dirty" in that it doesnt cover tjhem or work with them. it just sits on top of them. not ideal for pimples either. of course, all of these skin issues are best solved with concealer, which you must use if you intend to use this product and have your skin covered for more than a few hours. This makes my skin have a greyish or chalky coloring. I use the medium. It seems to be for blue based coloring than my color which is tan with pink and yellow (over all peach) undertones. i'm not even conmsidred "olive" if i was, it would look even more grey. i dislike that. it makes you look like youre wearing makeup. i will stick with my clinique city block or almost makeup or mac sheer mineral foundation (both liquid).

  • Pixi Rose Lip Treat

    Pixi Rose Lip Treat

I bought it for $12 and wouldn't spend a dollar more.

I bought the rose because the Nude was such a red velvet cake or brownie color, reddish sienna...and I L O V E nudes. That name is misleading. So i fell in love with the rose shade, the moisture helps soooo much in the winter, I like to wear it with my semi-waxy MAC or Rimmel lip pencils in pink nudes. the sort of sheerness this product has works out soooo pretty with liner for a polished but not heavy or overly made-up lip..

    Pixi Fat Face Brush

i am saving my pennies for this one!!!!

I used this with a Pixie blush, and omg.....it was so easy to use! it's big and fluffy (and hopefully synthetic) and just the right size for blushing and bronzing on the go. I dont knwo what its intended for specifically, but I love the portability and the fact that it will stay clean and sanitary inside the purse. I think its in the $20-30 range though, so I didnt buy it.
