  • Smashbox Photo Finish Lid Primer

I like a eye primer that actually covers any imperfections on my eyelid (i.e., visible veins, oiliness), giving me a perfect blank canvas for eyeshadow application. This product does that. It may seem "concealer-like" to some people, but it's very easy to work with and sets very quickly. Definitely one of the best out there.

  • Revlon ColorStay Makeup for Combination/Oily Skin

I'm not crazy about drugstore foundations (I find that the quality is lacking), but this is one that I will always have for years to come. I may not always reach for it, but on days when I need better coverage or my makeup to last 12+ hours, I reach for this. As long as it is applied correctly (I use a synthetic haired buffing brush) you can have a flawless face that lasts all day! I would advise on using a great makeup remover (preferably oil based) at the end of the day to get all of this makeup off and prevent breatouts. Trust me, your normal cleanser just won't cut it.

  • E.L.F. Wet Gloss Lash & Brow Clear Mascara

I had previously paid close to $30 for a well known brand of eyebrow setting gel/mascara, but since the gel does get dirty pretty quickly, I found out I couldn't affort this habbit. In my opinion, ELF is pretty "hit or miss" with their products, but they got this one right! I do not use this on my lashes, but rather both ends for my eyebrows. If the forumulations are different for the brows and lashes, you can't really tell. This does the job, and at $1, who can beat that? A word of caution, though, applying too much can make your eyebrows "crunchy" and "hard", but even so, it's not something you can notice by just looking at them. Will continue to repurchase as long as they continue to put it on the shelves!

  • Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer

This used to be my go-to primer for daily use. It does have a very silicon-y feel to it, which may be off-putting to some, but I didn't mind it. Yes, it makes your foundation application much more smoother, but I don't believe it makes the foundation last that much longer. The reason I think this product is so popular is because it was the forerunner in primers. Now there is a much better selection with better products.

    Nars Blush

    The Best!

There are certain brands I turn to for specific products, and when I think blush, I think NARS! I may not like all of the colors in their collection, but the formulation and quality is amazing. They are a bit pricey, but because they are so heavily pigmented, they will last forever! You only need a small amount on your brush to apply. My favorites would have to be luster (a shimmery apricot, great for spring/summer) and deep throat (a peachy-pink that a great staple, and actually makes your skin look a little bronzed).

  • Buxom Lash Mascara

    Buxom Lash Mascara

    Not crazy about it...

I'm not sure I understand the hype that comes wiht this mascara. The brush is way too big, and can often leave you with mascara marks on your face. The formulation of the mascara itself is too "wet" as opposed to waxy and does not hold a curl to save its life! You can get much better results from a drugstore mascara.

  • Benefit Hoola Bronzing Powder

Even though I'm not crazy about the packaging or the cheap brush that comes with it, this is a good natural bronzer. It isn't shimmery, or orange-based, and is great for countouring, especially for those with fairer skin tones. It does take practice to find out how much to use, otherwise, you can end up with a "muddy" look.

    Benefit Some-Kind-A Gorgeous

Not worth the hype or money!

I'm not crazy about tinted moisturizers, but wanted something to that same effect, which could be worn on "low-key" days. However, you're better off wearing nothing at all! This "foundation" covers absolutely nothing, and has to set with powder if you don't want to end up looking like a greaseball! The universal shade didn't work well for me, especially when I tried to build the coverage. I also didn't like the fact that Benefit tried to pull a fast one on customers by offering a small amount of product in a wide, but shallow pan. I don't think I got even a dozen uses out of this product. I did use it up, but vowed to never repurchase again.
