I have never used Avon polish before but bought my sister a bottle for Christmas because it was on sale. She loves it. I had a hard time choosing a color because they were all so pretty (ended up going with Lullabye). Next time they are discounted I'm definitely going to pick some up for myself.

I was looking for a brush cleaner and have always been a fan of Smashbox products, so decided to hop on my favorite review site (wink) and see what customers had to say about their brand. There were two highly positive reviews, so I decided to try it. And I'm so glad I did! Though I can't compare it to other products, it's phenomenal for me. Try cleaning your brushes simply by wiping them "clean" on a dry cloth. Then just spritz a bt of Smashbox's Brush Cleaner on a tissue, gently twist your brush in it, and oh my gosh, look at all of that makeup still hiding in the bristles! Lovely product, I will be using it for a long time to come!

AMAZING, AMAZING, AMAZING
My FAVORITE gloss, by a mile. I've tried many, many glosses and this is still my favorite. There are NO cons, just pros! *Non-scented. *Non-sticky (not in the LEAST) *Smooth application *Gorgeous, LONG-LASTING shine *Excellent colors I have this in nearly half the color selection. I could not live without one in every purse! Last time I wore it out to breakfast with a friend, she said to me, "I've always wanted to achieve that look [meaning the lush, glossy shine] but I never seem to be able to find a gloss that isn't heavy and sticky". So I pulled out my Clinique Super Balm and showed it to her. My only complaint is that they could have a bit more "shimmer" (most are fairly flat as far as glitter goes) and I wish they made a light, summery pink (which to date they do not.) I hope Clinique keeps making this for years, because I will die if they ever discontinue it!

I received a sample of this with an order. PROS: Gorgeous lashes IF your wand is not over-saturated Only need one application for thick, full coverage. CONS If you have too much on your wand, it will be messy. A lot of people think the brush is too large, but I find that it is an innovative design if used correctly. Dries and flakes. Irritates very sensitive eyes (like mine) SO...Smashbox has got a good wand design down, but needs to improve the formula. If users are getting messy, clumpy lashes, try wiping your wand off and re-dipping.

Pretty Good Brow Set
This is comparable to other brow powders out there. Nothing special, nothing horrible. It has a nice consistency (power) and is easily applied. My disappointment is that it is not a perfect color for me. I'm a natural dirty blonde and none of the three colors Smashbox makes for brows is perfect, even with blending. I'm still trying to find a brand that has the perfect color -- Red Earth was, but they stopped carrying their line in North America.

Pretty nice product....
So after major disappointment in Smashbox's cream liner (which evaporates within the hour) I decided to try this one. Pros: ~Very waterproof. Dries in about 30 seconds and it's there to stay unless you use makeup remover. You could cry a river and it wouldn't budge. ~Nice consistency. Sort of between gel and cream. It's workable, smudgeable, and not hard to apply. ~Color Choices: Nice assortment available, though I wish they had a nice olive green. Ivy is way too...well, ivy...and Hunter is too yellow, nearly gold. I bought Graphite Shimmer and was VERY disappointed that there is almost no shimmer. I may have gotten a fluke but it is as matte as can be. On the flipped side, I also purchased Mahogany Ink (no longer available) and it's a lovely matte brown, just what I was looking for. Cons: ~Slightly flaky. I noticed on day two I had tiny flakes beneath my eyes. I'm going to play around and see what I can do to minimize this. ~Somewhat irritating. I have super-sensitive eyes. To the MAX. I read the reviews and was hopeful that this would be a miracle product that would work for me. It's okay, but my eyes are telling me it's there. So, I give it 8 stars. It may be for you, and it may not. But definitely worth a try if you're seeking a new eyeliner.

Less than 10 stars? Are you kidding me?
This is a truly awesome product. I seriously don't understand why anyone would rate it poorly. It is so incredibly subtle but makes your skin positively glow when the light hits it. I use this under my eyes, under and above my brows, and on the inner corner of my eye. It is spectacular. I am fair-skinned and will never be without it again. The only "downside" is that it comes out very quickly from the tube. Makeup companies know what they're doing so that the user wastes the product and needs to buy more. The hole at the tip of the tube is about 8 sizes too large. All you have to do it gently tip the tube and let the tiniest amount dribble onto your finger. If you squeeze it, half the tube will empty. If this happens, just suck it back up by squeezing gently and it will go back in. (Not the most sanitary but hey, it saves the product). 10 gleaming gold stars here!

Good trial kit, horrible liner!
This is an excellent kit for people wanting to try Smashbox. It includes their Photo Finish Primer, lip gloss, eye brightener, six liners, a duel-end brush, and a DVD. ~Photo Finish Primer: Everyone knows this is a great product. ~Lip Gloss: I was surprised to find this particular gloss is scented. I don't care for scented glosses but it's subtle enough that I'll still wear it. The gloss itself, as always with Smashbox, is superb, stays on, and keeps your lips moist. ~Eye Brightener: A new product I will NEVER be without. Absolutely PERFECT below, above the brows and beneath the eyes. This is one of those "miracle" products that is so subtle on the face but makes a WORLD of difference! This tiny tube will last eons if you use it sparingly. The tip is way too big so be sure to just tip it slightly and the product will come right now. No need to squeeze. ~Brow Powder: Very nice stuff. Sadly you'll use the wax up long before the powder. The angled brush is perfect for application. Three colors can be blended for a custom shade. I'm dark blonde and use mostly the Blonde and Taupe. ~Eye Liner: Now we come to the low rating. At first I thought this stuff was amazing (hence my 10-star review on the individual product). Well, I was wrong. Color=great. Application=great. Consistency=great. Non-Irritating=great. Longevity=non-existent. This will evaporate from your eyes in an hour. It's a HUGE shame because the colors are stunning. ~DVD: Nothing an advanced user doesn't know but nice to see. Gets you in the mood to put on Smashbox...just what they want. :) Overall, a solid B-. Would have been A+ if the liner was good, but sadly it is not.

Gorgeous Colors, Good Staying Power, Slightly Hard to Apply
First of all, ten stars for the color selection. Smashbox has a stunning array of fall colors in navy, olive, and various greys. Second, I find that their ability to stay gets 8 stars. It does lighten a bit but I would never go as far as saying it "melts" or "disappears". I actually think how well it stays depends entirely on how well it is applied. Which brings us to point number three. Third, the liner gets 7 stars for application. You must use a flat brush (Smashbox makes one specifically for this product) but even so, I find it hard to put on. You have to put a fair amount of product on the brush and then DAB (not SMEAR) it onto your lid. The artist on the "Try Me Kit Vol. 1" DVD makes it look effortless, and I imagine it would be much easier to do on someone else than yourself. However, with a little practice, you can get a fairly decent line. Overall I really like this product, and I think with a little effort it can be a staple of your makeup kit. 9 stars from me!

One of the best liners ever. Super smooth and glides on! I have highly sensitive eyes and these don't bother me at all. The Metallics line is incredible with just the right amount of shimmer without looking tacky. It really reflects the light. I am blonde and use #52.
