    Abba Pure Moisture Shampoo

    Disappointed...

I really, really wanted to love this shampoo since I had heard such good things about it on another beauty review site. The smell is positively gorgeous but, for some reason, it left me with really oily roots only a few hours after my shampoo. I don't know if there's something in the formula that I had trouble rinsing out of my hair or what, but I washed once with this and then dumped the whole bottle. I wish I could give this product a good review but I'm thinking it just might not be the thing for ladies with fine hair that tends to get oily at the roots.

  • Aveeno Baby Soothing Relief Moisture Cream

I don't have kids to use this on, but I use it on my own skin, which gets pretty dry in the winter, and it's pretty fantastic. It doesn't have much of a scent, so it doesn't clash with my fragrance, and it's really thick. I often have trouble finding lotions that are thick enough, but this one does the trick and the moisturizing effect really lasts a long time. My mom, who uses prescription lotions because her hands are so dry, was even sold on this stuff and bought a tube!

  • Clean & Clear Advantage Acne Spot Treatment

Clean & Clear Advantage Acne Spot Treatment

nothing too amazing here, for me at least...

This is a pretty basic salyicylic acid gel spot treatment for pimples. It has a more pleasant scent than a lot of other salicylic acid gels I've tried, but other than that there aren't a whole lot of bells and whistles here. If salicylic acid works for you, then this product is probably a good choice because it's relatively inexpensive. I've found after a lot of trial and error, however, that salicylic acid spot treatments just don't work for me, so I wouldn't repurchase this treatment.

    Ahava Mineral Body Lotion

Maybe not for winter, but it's a good lotion nevertheless.

This is a great basic lotion for skin that just needs a bit of extra moisture. It's on the thinner side, so it's not really something I use when my skin is craving serious moisture (like during our cold Wisconsin winters), but it's a good everyday lotion. I can't really detect a scent in this, so it would be great for people who are sensitive to fragrance.

  • Almay Oil Free Gentle Eye Makeup Remover Pads

Almay Oil Free Gentle Eye Makeup Remover Pads

How did I live without these things?

I bought these makeup remover pads after seeing them in Allure's 2007 best of beauty, and I'm so glad that I found them! The price is dirt cheap for the amount of pads that you get, and the pads themselves are amaaaazing. They're just the right size to get my makeup off of both eyes with just one pad, and they're oil-free so they don't leave my eyes all greasy. It just takes a swipe or two and they get everything off my eyes- mascara, eyeliner, and shadow. Plus they're really thin so I don't feel like I'm being super wasteful when I throw them out after use.

  • Almay Nearly Naked Cover Up Stick

Almay Nearly Naked Cover Up Stick

    I keep coming back...

I have a love/hate relationship with this concealer. Every time I use it I think, "Well, this is probably one of the best I've found... but I know there's something better out there!" Yet for some reason, I keep buying it. It provides pretty good coverage, especially for undereye circles (as other reviewers have mentioned), but the stick is SO hard that I sometimes have trouble applying it and it dries out really quickly. I don't know; I think at some point I'll find a concealer that really meets all my needs, but for now I'll keep on using this one.

  • Ahava Mineral Hand Cream

    Ahava Mineral Hand Cream

Oh my LORD, I love this stuff.

I keep this handcream stashed in my purse most of the time, and I whip it out anytime someone I'm with asks 'Do you have any hand cream?'. I can't even begin to count how many times I've then had to write down the name of the product so that my friends and co-workers could go buy a tube of their own! This is a thick cream which absorbs quickly but still leaves your hands soft and like they have a layer of protection. I'm a nurse and I wash my hands 8 billion times a day (okay, that's an exaggeration, but I wash them a LOT), and this stuff is my saving grace.

    Ahava Eucalyptus Bath Salt

    Basic, but I like it.

There's not much that's really amazing or different about these bath salts but I still really enjoy them. They're ground very finely so they dissolve in the bath very quickly, which is nice. I often prefer a fragranced bath salt or a product with more moisturizing properties, but these definitely soften the bathwater.
