    Benefit Delivers!

Much like their "Lemon-aid" this product is wonderful...because of it's yellow pigment it diminishes the red areas we want to hide so badly... I also use this on the eyelids as a primer and along the corners of the nose and over acne bumps before applying foundation...works great :)

    Benefit You Rebel

    Disappointed

I'm a hardcore Benefit gal. I pretty much love all their cosmetics but I just feel this isn't up to their standard. I think the colour is wonderful but it rubs off so easily even after using a primer and a setting powder...and the greasy feel/look it leaves on the skin is unforgiveable.

    CARBON Addict!

I LOVE the MAC Carbon eyeshadow... I use this as an eyeliner mostly...using a thin eyeliner brush (artist brushes work just as well ) I use it wet then blend it and go over it once more wet along the lash line, dry off the brush, and then to set the liner I use the dry shadow to make it stick :) LOVE LOVE LOVE IT... I have 3..one in my makeup bag.. one on my vanity and one for use on clients... I'm also known to give this out as a gift. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

  • L'Oreal Paris True Match Super Blendable Makeup

3 days before attending my first class at the Art Institute I bought and used this product for the first time and continued to use it not expecting any issues. The night before the class I felt some soreness on my left lower eyelid but thought nothing of it...woke up the next morning to get ready for class and FREAKED OUT...my eye was just about swollen shut! I looked like Quasimodo! What sucked even more was that I couldn't get into class without an Art Institute ID...picture and all :( My professor made light and asked what the other guy I had fought looked like. Great first impression I made :( Moral of the story: be careful while applying near the eyes!

  • Curel Fragrance-Free Daily Moisture Lotion

I have very oily skin that's incredibly sensitive and have tried many expensive lotions but none have compared to this one...not even close. at night I put on a good amount after cleansing and tonering my face and then in the morning after a shower and tonering my face I'll put this on..wait 10 minutes and then put on my makeup..my skin is smooth, soft and shine resistant for most of the day. The thing that makes this such a fantastic lotion is how hydrating it feels...soaks right in without feeling heavy and greasy and b/c it's fragrance free my skin is less likely to have any unpleasant reactions. I truly recommend this for all skin types :)

  • bareMinerals ORIGINAL SPF 15 Foundation

I was iffy on the mineral makeup craze to begin with but I thought if it was a more natural look I'm all for it...but there is NOTHING natural about this product. If you have pores fuggitaboutit this is NOT the product for you. The iridescent shimmer that it produces on the skin is horrifying! I was out on a lunch date eating in an out door cafe and happened to glance in some silverware (you do it too..admit it) and I was floored by my GLOWING face... it looked like the Tin Man from the Wizard of Oz had sucked face with me!!! I only wore the foundation at night when I knew I'd be in low light areas.......NOT happy.

  • Wet n Wild MegaEyes Creme Eyeshadow

As a makeup artist I tend to try just about anything and everything on the market so that I can best advise my clients on what works and what's a rip off. I've used these wonderful tubes of pure goodness on everyone from teenagers to brides and with wonderful results. 99% of the time people are shocked to see that I have Wet N Wild in my makeup trunk but once they see what can be done with this one oz. highly pigmented tube they're hooked. I do advise that you do NOT use this as a sole eye shadow...this is a highlighter only...best used lightly over pressed eye shadow up to the middle of the eyelid and then slightly on the inner corner of the eye and blended a fourth of the way out underneath the lower lashes for a "hello, check me out" effect. My only woe is that they're being discontinued. All in all...I HIGHLY recommend this product....IF you can find it.
