    Goody Simple Styles Spin Pin

    Simple and Effective

The packaging rings true- they really are simple. If you do it right, it works well on nearly all hair types and lengths. Thick hair? Use Two. Thin hair? You can get away with one. The style itself isn't fantastically attractive. It's a bun...and yeah. If you wear buns, totally worth it. If not, I'd pass this one up.

    Goody Simple Styles Modern Updo-Maker

    Cute and Not So Simple

This one goody product actually appealed to me more than the spin pin; the modern updo looks so cute!...when you can do it. The problem with this product is the simplicity or lack there of. I've tried this on multiple hair lengths and types, and consistently have issues with it. I'd say after practice, it can be done one out of ten times perfectly. Three out of those ten, you'll get an awkward version that looks okay and doesn't stay well. Two out of the ten, it'll work- if you're willing to hank half your hair out. The other four out of ten? Doesn't happen at all. But that one makes it worth it really is a nice tool that looks fantastic when it's right.

  • L'Oreal Paris Go 360 Clean

Sorry to say I feel hook, line, and sinker for the gimmick. That's really all it is, a gimmick. I've tried three of the different types, and they all do the same thing: relatively nothing; there's not even an immediately after effect that quickly fades. Each of them also seems to dry the skin quite a bit, even the "cream" version (which, by the way, is like rubbing tooth paste on your face?!). Overall, not a worthwhile purchase.

  • Biosilk Silk Therapy

Even with minimal application, this product feels oily and too heavy. I've considered that maybe it's just my hair (I have somewhat thin hair and like my hair CLEAN), but I regularly use other brand creams and "silks" such as Chi and haven't had that same weighed down feeling. Unless you have dry, frizzy hair, avoid at all costs.

    Disapointing

I was ecstatic when I smelled this sample in an ULTA magazine: It was clean and warm and everything I'd been looking for in a perfume. The actual thing? Not so much. The top notes are very nice, clean and warm with small bits of vanilla. Unfortunately, those notes fade and the lingering scent is very "perfume"y and gives me a headache. I have high hopes and they weren't supported.

  • Boots Expert Sensitive Hydrating Moisturiser

Boots is one of those lesser known drugstore brands. Its sold mainly at Target and...Rite Aid? The lines are all pretty much standard drugstore prices- this product retails at about $5, so it isnt too much of a splurge or anything. Here we go! Pros: * It Works: As far as hydration goes, it does it pretty well, in a short amount of time (one night). It moisturizes deep and it good for those little flaky spots. * Not Greasy: A lot of lotions have thay greasy feeling that's left behind on your skin- this one doesn't have it at all. * Thick: I don't know why that's a pro, but it strikes me as something good :) * Cheap. Cons: * Smells: Like glue. * Feels: Like glue. Despite the previous pros, this lotion just has such a strong glue feeling to it. It is literally like rubbing Elmer's Glue on your face except without the stick and the strings. It also doesn't form a fun little mask you can pull off later :(

  • Maybelline New York Dream Mousse Blush

The Good: * Consistency: It really is a "mousse"; it's light and fluffy, and actually doesn't look or feel nearly as heavy as their advertising (like the picture above) makes it seem! The creme is also not too liquidy but still applicable with fingers and food for those of you who have combination or dry skin. * Color: I picked the lightest possible color (peach satin) because I'm already pale and have a little color to my cheeks, I just wanted to enhance it. When it goes on its light with the barest shimmer, but easily blendable and buildable. The Bad: * The Stay Factor: It may have to do with the foundation I had underneath, but I've found it doesn't stay well. That's not to say it all wears off quickly, but the next time I look at myself in the mirror, I can barely tell I put anything on. Though I do plan on getting another, more noticeable color. * The Smell: Thankfully, it's not too noticeable, otherwise it would be on the "Ugly" list, but when you do smell it- oh lord its horrible! So...don't smell it.

  • Garnier Moisture Rescue Lightweight UV-Lotion SPF 15

First off, this is a somewhat biased review because of my skin: I'm allergic to a few components in skin care items that basically make it so that I can't use any American made sun screen and most "SPF" lotions. This one however, does not contain those components and I am therefore biased. I was immediately irritated when I opened the package: Garnier has never been known to be "cheap", but the bottle of this item is absolutely terrible and just screams "cheap". The lotion itself is nice and lightweight though it doesn't actually feel like its doing much.

  • Garnier Resurfacing 3-Way Cleanser

I've gone through numerous face products because my skin is so sensitive. I've also learned to generally avoid exfoliating washes because of said sensitivity, not to mention the dryness. This cleanser, however, is a head above the rest. The three way thing is no joke. While it is not necessarily the best at all three, it does each reasonably well without drying or irritating my skin. It also reasonably removes makeup for a product not advertised to. An absolute must have!

    Revlon ColorStay Overtime Lipcolor

Overtime- As in over the time you want it...

The shade I bought was a Coral (though it came out more red). The color itself isn't bad, it's bright and fun. The problem is that this product stains lips more than a lip stain does. Not only does it not come off when you're eating, it doesn't come off if you rub it, wash it, or put makeup remover on it! Which wouldn't be too bad except it doesn't fade well; the product dries lips and does get feathery, and as the color fades, it does so extremely unevenly, forcing you to reapply.
