    OPI Nail Lacquer

Perfect for building your polish collection!

OPI is great quality stuff. They have a ton of shades, creative names, and a good price point. For "occasional use" colors (something to match a Halloween costume for example) I go for polish from NYX, ELF, or Sinful Colors. For "splurges," I turn to Butter London or Deborah Lippmann. But for everything else, OPI and Essie are the standouts. Good quality, nice selection. These polishes apply evenly, don't chip much, and look great. My only difficulty with OPI is with opacity--sometimes their lighter shades are not as opaque as I would like, but that's a tough problem to solve.

  • Aussie Moist 3 Minute Miracle Deeeeep Conditioner

You can't beat it for the price (about $3). I use this a few times a week to put some moisture back in my hair. It has a nice coconutty smell and it helps my hair recover from all the stress I put it through. I also love the bottle...no caps to mess with! I wish all my shampoos were designed the same way.

    E.L.F. Total Face Brush

    Love this brush!

It's soft, a great size, applies powder evenly, and it's so inexpensive! This brush allows me to apply powder or blush in a hurry and the results are always great, plus it feels nice to the touch. I like replacing my brushes often (washing them only does so much), so this is a nice option since the price makes them fairly disposable.

  • Mary Kay NouriShine Plus Lip Gloss

Mary Kay NouriShine Plus Lip Gloss

Looks great, but there are drawbacks

I have this lip gloss in Red Passion, and I love how it looks. Nice, rich color that doesn't wash me out, and shimmery without making me look like I dipped my lips in glitter. However, it's pretty uncomfortable to wear. The glitter irritates my lips and makes them almost itchy if that's even possible. Then, when I wipe it off (usually with a napkin if I'm about to eat) the color leaves, but the glitter stays! It looks pretty ridiculous with all the glittery bits stuck to your lips. Not entirely sure how I feel about this product. I'll wear it, but I probably won't be repurchasing after it's gone.

  • Deborah Lippmann Nail Lacquers

    Deborah Lippmann Nail Lacquers

    Splurge on this one!

While most of Lippmann's lacquers cost about $16 a pop, they are well worth the investment. Her line includes some super interesting glitter combinations that you really can't find anywhere else (Boom Boom Pow, Across the Universe, Candy Shop, Mermaid's Dream). I recently received a Lippmann polish in B****** Brew (love the name) and although it's way more vampy than I'd normally go for, I love it. Nice, opaque, rich color that allows you to layer color for more or less darkness. I don't really like the brush (it's very thin and I prefer brushes that offer wider application, like Sally Hansen's Total Salon Manicure line), however it still applied beautifully. Yes, these polishes are expensive, but if you fall in love with a color, treat yourself. You'll feel super pampered every time you use it.
