NYX Cosmetics NYX Glossy Black Liner

It's supposed to be GLOSSY, right?

I had high hopes for this eyeliner. It's always sold out at Ulta so I assumed it was popular and I've always wanted to accomplish that wet-eye look. The eyeliner however is not very glossy. It's more like a gel liner; it goes on smoothly and has a saturated color, but it doesn't have staying power that many other gel liners have. I even use my trusty all-night primer and it still feathered a little. I did like the texture though, and I'll probably use it again, but I'll make sure to keep a compact and the pencil handy for quick touchups.

  • Pond's Luminous Clean Wet Cleansing Towelettes

I've used all kinds of wipes-- cheap and expensive, sensitive skin, anti aging, exfoliating, all natural-- but I've never been so impressed with a wipe. It doesn't dry out your skin, or leave it too moisturized, or leave a residue, or irritate my skin in any way. It just leaves my skin and (literally) baby soft. The gimmick is that kaolin clay used in the luminous products deep clean. That may be true, but I'm more impressed with the mica, which is a reflective mineral that leaves your skin beautifully radiant. When I first bought these, I never wanted to use cleanser because I loved the luminous, even toned look it gave me (then I bought the matching cleanser). I even put a few in little baggies to give out to friends I love these so much!

  • Garnier Skin Renew Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream SPF 15

I've tried several bb creams, always on the search for the perfect fit. But I pay $30-40 for a 1oz bottle, so when I found out Garnier made a cheaper version, I decided to give it a try. Here's what I found: it's an oily tinted moisturizer trying to profit of the bb cream fad. Bb cream is supposed to be intuitive. It's a moisturizer, skin treatment, primer and foundation in one. A good bb cream will give you a flawless, natural look; it moisturizes the dry spots and mattifies the oily spots; it fills in wrinkles; it gives you breathable sun protection; just a tad should go a long way, so coverage is buildable. It sounds like magic, but it exists AND THIS IS NOT IT in any way, shape, or form. This could be a good TINTED MOISTURIZER for someone with dry skin, just know what you're buying.
