    Almay Wake-Up Blush + Highlighter

    No Pigment & Just Awful!

I love the wakeup makeup mineral powder foundation so I was excited when the wakeup line came out with more products. HOWEVER- this stuff was just awful! I bought the shade Rose and even on my lily white, fair complexion this hardly showed up at all. Its also fairly high priced for a drug store product. I highly recommend everyone pass on this product.

  • Almay Smart Shade Smart Balance Skin Balancing Makeup

I've used this off and on for the past year and ahve decided that this product is just "ok". Its color matching abilities aren't as great as I'd like. If you're really fair skinned, you may find the lightest shade is a bit orange and deeper than you may want (this is my main issue). I used this over the summer and it worked but I know I can't wear this in the winter when my skin is paper white. It is very sheer in coverage, almost a tinted moisturizer without the moisture part. It did control oily fairly well and didn't irritate my skin or cause any breakouts.

    Revlon PhotoReady Cream Blush

    Excellent Cream Blush

I have this product in the shades Flushed and Coral Reef, which look very bright in the container but are sheer and give a healthy flush of natural looking color to the skin. I am very pale, sensitive and combination skinned and also 44 yrs old. These products are sheer enough not to overwhelm my fair skin, don't irriate my skin or cause break outs. They also last all day on my face, even through the exceptionally hot summer this year in the northeast. They also don't settle into my fine lines like other cream blushes have done and have no shimmer. All in all, I think these are probably the best cream blushes in the drug store. Now, all of that being said I only gave 8 stars since there's only 3 shades and the price is pretty high for a drug store product.

Maybelline New York Dream Fresh BB

Good for A US BB Cream

This is probably the "best" out of the bad lot that makes up the new crop of american BB creams. It seems the US companies think BB cream = tinted moisturizer, but I digress. LOL This product checks many of the boxes that most would want in an "all in one" type of product, which is what BB creams really are. It has 5 different shades, a higher SPF (SPF 30), is oil free and seems to have some radiance boosting to it so skin doesn't look "flat". It evens out the skin but is sheer enough so that its natural looking on the skin. The shade "light" is fair enough for my uber pale skin, so far it hasn't irritated my sensitive skin or caused me any breakouts. Additionally, its pretty affordable. All of the above being said, this is not a true BB cream in the style of the Asian BB creams so if you're used to those, than stick to them.

  • Revlon ColorStay Aqua Mineral Makeup

I wanted to love this, and in truth after tying their Partner's (Almay's) version, I expected to. However, this product tends to settle into my lines and pores, if used alone as a foundation (whichAlmay's didn't do). If I use this as just a powder, over a BB cream or foundation, it works better. All in all, I will go back to Almay's Wakeup Makeup instead of this product.

  • L'Oreal Paris Magic Skin Beautifier BB Cream

I have very fair skin and have had a real issue with all the new BB creams that have come out lately. This is the only one that actually matches my skin and gives some decent coverage. The primer properties smooth my skin and make the fine lines look less noticeable, as well as allowing for the rest of makeup to go on smoother and stay longer. I've only been using this for a week, so I can't yet comment on long term results. My only real issue with this product is the lack of an SPF. This won't be a summer pick due to that.

  • Almay Smart Shade Perfect & Correct Primer

First, let me give some advice on primers in general, you have to let your skin care products absorb prior to applying primer, any primer. Second, let the primer itself absorb prior to applying your makeup. This primer's main function is to even out and balance the skin tone on sensitive skins. This is not a shine control primer nor does the product claim to be. It also does not contain any silicones since they can irritate skins. If used properly, and for the purpose for which it is intended, it does actually work. I am 44 yrs old, my skin is very fair, with a lot of red splotches, and I am very sensitive as well. I also call my skin "combination", meaning a combination of zits and wrinkles. LOL This product reduces the red splotches without causing me to break out or have irritated skin. My makeup goes on smoother and it stays on longer using this product and it doesn't settle into my fine lines. I also use it on days I don't want to wear makeup as it evens my skin and gives a layer of protection from pollution and airborne irritants.

  • Renpure Solutions REN Sweet Pomegranate Cleansing Conditioner

I would give this NO stars if there was an option to do so. This is NOT a dupe for Wen or even close to one. I have used several cleansing conditioners and this is by far the worst! It made my roots very, very greasy and my ends dry and it felt like it needed to be washed, even though I'd just gotten out of the shower. I couldn't wait to wash this out of my hair and its taken several weeks, and multiple products, to repair what this did to my hair. RUN, don't walk, away from this product! I returned it and wrote to the company.

  • Mary Kay TimeWise Repair Eye Renewal Cream

I received this product as a free sample to try and review. I have been using this daily for about 3 1/2 weeks now and I have to say that I have not noticed much of anything as a result. I am not into the applicator but have tried it a few times. The product has done nothing for my under eye puffiness, which is a major concern for me, hasn't firmed my skin or reduced fine lines. I also find it to be a bit "sticky" and it takes a long time to soak in. In all honesty, I have used much more effective products from other lines and I won't purchase this one nor do I recommend it.

  • Dickinson's Witch Hazel Towelettes with Aloe

Okay, this is one seriously great product. First, the portable packing is fantastic. The product itself comes on a pre-moistened towlette which is a good size and doesn't dry out quickly. It made my skin feel so clean and fresh and didn't dry me out at all or irritate my sensitive skin. There is barely any smell and the product is very reasonably priced. Will buy again and highly recommend!
