  • Clinique 3-Step Kit with Facial Soap - Combination Oily and Oily Skin Types

I love Clinique's 3-Step system. After trying Proactiv and Clean and Clear and being severly disappointed I tried Clinique's 3-step introductory kit. Wow, it worked wonders for MY skin! I am putting a strong emphasis on MY skin because what works great for me may not work great for everyone. I have been using this 3 step skin care regimen night and day for about 5 years and it keeps my skin looking healthy and soft. I prefer it with the soap as oppose to the soap in the dispenser because I like the lather better, also, it lasts longer. I do think that these products are pricey but you get a lot for your buck.

  • Clean & Clear Persa-Gel 10 Acne Medication

I had really bad acne when I was in my early teens. I was on accutane for about 6 months and it really cleared up my skin. Due to pollutants, stress, oils, and diet I occasionally have a few pop up around my chin/ jaw line. Persa- Gel from clean and clear is amazing at clearing it up completely in 2-3 days max. I tried their 3-step kit that has been advertised on television and honestly it didn't do much for my skin. I prefer my 3-step Clinique system and then when I have a break out I squirt a dot of this on a Q-Tip and rub it all over the infected area (s). It will bleach your pillow though so be sure to put down a soft towel. Totally worth the effort though- works wonders!

  • Clinique Stay-True Makeup Oil-Free Formula

Clinique will always be my favorite cosmetics line. Their products look very natural and never break out my skin. This product is no different. I use Stay Ivory and it blends super well with my skin. I am very fair with a cool complection (pink undertones). I use to use Superfit Makeup by Clinique in Neutral but when I purchased it I was tan and it worked perfectly- now I am not so tan and it just did not do as much for me. There wasn't a color lighter than Neutral in the Superfit foundation so I decided to try Stay True. I read good things about it on Clinique's Website which now has customer reviews. It is amazing, it is not a cure all however, I still use blot powder half way through the day. My skin is super oily though. This foundation has a matte finish, it's medium - full coverage, and it is blendable! Oh, and the best part, it practically absorbs oils in your skin. Love it.

  • Too Faced Lash Injection

This is my 2nd favorite mascara of all time- my first favorite being Clinique Hihh Impact. The reason I love this mascara is the volume. Yes It does add great length but I have very sparse lashes and when I wear this mascara my eyes look so much richer and just POP! I won't lie- it is a little time consuming to take off at the end of the day- but hey at least it doesn't start running down your cheek by noon right? I soak a cotton ball in warm water then apply to my eye for about 10 seconds, then take another cotton ball dipped in makeup remover (or a makeup removing cloth will work) and gently take off the little tubes. Do not forget to wash your face after this step for insurance that all the tubes are removed!! Works wonders.

  • Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer Light

I was extremely skeptical when buying this product from my local Ulta. I have tried the original formula which was ok but just way to heavy for my combination skin so I really wanted to give the light version a try. It works astonishingly well! I love it. I use about 1 1/2 pumps to coat my whole face in it and it instantly creates a radiant glow that is the perfect primer for my foundation. Then, once I have applied my foundation I can tell how smooth and nice my skin looks- and so can others! My favorite part about this primer- my foundation stays on until i use my makeup dissolving cloths to take it off, that's right! No more rubbing off mid-day!!! Definately one of my beauty must haves.

  • Clairol Nice 'n Easy Perfect 10

Clairol Nice 'n Easy Perfect 10

    Clairol- Not so Perfect 10.

This product is more like a perfect 3. The packaging for the color was very sophisticate (seriously whoever does their advertising I am impressed!) however, the color was horrible. I am talking about patches of color and uneven. Also, the dye left my hair in horrible condition. Not that it was healthy pre-color but it felt fryed. The conditioner didn't do much to repair the issues my hair had afterward either. I definately prefer L'Oreal as far as coloring without destoying my hair.

  • L'Oreal Paris Superior Preference

    L'Oreal Paris Superior Preference

    L'Oreal, best I have tried

I have dark blonde/ light brown hair that I like to color just to enhance my natural color. L'Oreal Superior Preference and Excellence Creme are the best at home hair color kits I have tried. The conditioners in them will make your hair so suepr soft and manageable. I used the color 6AM which was a Light Amber Brown and it turned out gorgeous, I really wanted a Warmer tone because I have a lot of red tones in my hair already that are just too hard to mask without over-processing! This color literally blended right in and gave my hair a gorgeous shine. I put a moisturizing leave in treatment in the ends of my hair and combed it through really good with a rat tail comb prior to coloring b/c the ends of my hair are always the dryest and I wanted even application. I also put the color along the roots of my hair prior to coloring because I hate when my roots turn out way lighter than the ends of my hair! The last step i did was i wrapped my hair in saran wrap and blasted my blow dryer on it for about 5 mins, then left the plastic wrap on head so all areas of my head had an equal temperature (do not forget ladies, you root area is right near your scalp and generates a lot of heat from your body- didn't want the halo effect)! Seriously, it only took about 20 - 25 mins after processing time and the results were totally worth it. If your hair is extremely damaged, go for excellence creme by l'oreal b/c it has a pre-color leave in treatment for the ends of your hair. If you have a coupon and that is why you chose preference but really should use the excellence creme brands, just use the moisturizing leave in creme trick like i did (or a small portion of a moisturizing condioner just on your ends where there is the most dry-ness)!!
