    Pop Beauty Eye Cake

Fun eye "cakes" give lots of choices!!

I read the other reviews and think some of them were kind of harsh...maybe there was a "bad" batch that had defective tins but my tin opened up just fine. You don't just "pull" the lid off-it's more of a twist then pull so perhaps that was the problem. Anyhow, tin issues aside; I think the colors are great. They don't have the strongest pigment out there, but you can either layer them or wet your applicator to make it go on thicker. It's actually nice as you can make your eyes more subtle or strong depending on what you're in the mood for. I have the purple/silver one and keep it in my purse as the various shades look nice on me : ) I usually also leave an applicator in the tin as it doesn't come with one. Pop stuff is a lot of fun though not always practical so check out some of their other products at Sephora : )

    Sally Hansen Diamond Lip Treatment

Truly as sparkly as the product states!

As a devotee of all things sparkly; I have to admit this one truly delivers on the glitter-y front. The colors are subtle, but noticeable just enough to enhance. It is also SUPER shiny to the point of being gel-like. Probably because of that; you do need to reapply every couple hours and most assuredly after eating or drinking anything. I say small price to pay for perfectly glossed and sparkly lips! : )

  • Bath & Body Works True Blue Spa Look Ma, New Hands Softening Hand Lotion with Paraffin

While this might be a bit heavy for daily use; it is a Godsend for winter chapped skin or for slathering on before bed. It just works as no other hand creme I've ever tried has...it goes on thick and stays on, even through a hand-washing or two! I wouldn't say it's greasy, but you can't turn a doorknob right away. However, if your hands are all chapped then it's a small price to pay to have pretty soft hands again! I got through last winter with nary even a hint of chapping. It's totally worth the price and a little goes a long way so you'll use it for ages unlike the typical cheap runny drugstore lotion. Btw, I love the sweet citrus-y smell...some folks thought it smelled like cleaners, but I beg to differ...very pleasant sugary citrus and the smell doesn't last very long anyhow.

  • C.O. Bigelow Dr. Hiosous Quince Hand Lotion
    9.0

C.O. Bigelow Dr. Hiosous Quince Hand Lotion

Worth the price for a fantastic hand lotion : )

At first I thought-quince? What IS that? And why would I put it on my hands? But since I got a small tube as a gift I figured might as well give it a go...wow! This is GREAT stuff : ) The claim is that it is fragrance free but I swear it does have a very light smell that reminds me of grapefruit. The smell doesn't last and somehow had really grown on me. I find that it works best for use after washing hands or if I'm playing on my laptop and need the occasional bit o' lotion. It's not really strong enough for winter-chapped skin though-I would use Bath & Body Works "Look Ma New Hands" for truly messed up skin. But for everyday use this is perfect and best of all-not greasy. two thumbs (and eight other fingers) up!!

  • Too Faced Starry Eyed Liner
    10.0

    Too Faced Starry Eyed Liner

the ONLY glitter liner you'll need : )

So, ever since the 'death' of my favorite Tony and Tina glitter liner; I have been on a mad quest to find glitter liner that actually LOOKS glittery and goes on without a mess. In regards to the former; most drugstore brand type glitter liners look like they'll be awesome, but end up looking more like regular liner with maybe three specks of glitter. In regards to the latter; a great example is Urban Decay glitter liners...they are chock-full o' glitter BUT are a royal mess to apply and get drippy pretty quickly. Then-alleluia!-Too Faced brought out these glitter liners that 1) are brimming with noticeable sparkles 2) go on very easily with the perfect sized brush wand 3) do not smear off unless you rub at your eyes 4) are in a bunch of great colors that LOOK like the color on your face. RUN! do not walk to Sephora and stock up while you can...this is too good to last hahaha

  • Neutrogena Fresh Cooling Body Mist Sunblock
    9.0

Neutrogena Fresh Cooling Body Mist Sunblock

The easiest sunscreen ever? : )

I totally love this stuff as I just HATE using lotion or gel sunscreens. There's something almost icky about rubbing chemical-smelling glop all over yourself-especially when it smears into your clothes or whatever. yuck! But this is SO easy! You just spray it all over and rub it in...it even smells decent! The only caveat on this is that maybe since it's a spray it seems like I do need to re-apply a bit more often than with traditional lotions. But I consider that a minor thing overall. My suggestion is to keep a can stashed by the door or even in your car as a reminder to spray whenever you leave the house. I am proud to say that I am dead pale even in early August : )

  • Neutrogena Sugar Scrub Body Exfoliator
    9.0

    Neutrogena Sugar Scrub Body Exfoliator

AMAZING smell and overall fantastic scrub for totally smooth skin!

This scrub has hands-down one of the best fruity/citrus smells going : ) Usually I'm not much of a fan of citrus, but somehow this is just sweet enough to be rather addictive! It works great all year too-gets rid of dead dry skin in winter and is soothing to sun-exposed skin in summer. You don't need to use much to be effective either so it last a while. It's one of the few "products" I can get my husband to use as well since the smell isn't perfume-y and it really just feels so nice on your skin : ) One caveat? Just be careful if you use while taking a shower as it can make the tub floor slippery.

  • Tarte FRXtion
    9.0

    Tarte FRXtion

Quick solution to icky flaky lips : )

As the other reviewers said; this stuff does wonders for flaky lips...I like to use it once a day more to prevent my lips from getting to that point though! It has a great sugary maple syrup kind of flavor and the balm is incredibly soothing to raw lips (esp in winter!) The packaging itself is really nice with the mirror being a nice touch. Hey, if you're going to spend $ on something; it's nice that it LOOKS worth the $!! Lastly, this thing lasts forever-I've had the same one for almost 6 months with daily use! Go and buy this (if you can find it of course!)

  • Lush Sweet Japanese Girl

    Lush Sweet Japanese Girl

    Very sweet for combo skin!

I was leary of using this on my combination skin as it seemed like it would be to greasy. But the info on it claimed it was targeted at problem skin so figured I'd give it a go...Wow! Who knew? I am in my late 20s and get the occasional breakout on my chin or when I wax my eyebrows/upper lip. Otherwise my skin is normal (dry-ish in winter perhaps). I decided to use this to clean my face when I take my shower at night. I use a scrub every third day in the morning and the other days a gentle cleanser. But since this is a bit messy to use I decided it would work best in the shower and I was right! The only reason it's not a 10 is because it IS kinda messy and is also a bit price-y. But SJG truly is amazing in that it really does CLEAN your face, but also leaves what to me feels like a 'face conditioner' behind that makes my face feel soft and look glow-y! and the smell is SOOOOOOOO good!!

  • St. Ives Fresh Skin Apricot Scrub
    9.0

St. Ives Fresh Skin Apricot Scrub

    Truly the BEST scrub going!

Yes, you could spend gobs of money on something from Sephora, but honestly this scrub does the trick for next to nothing! I have combination skin and am in my late 20s and have been using this now for about five years. I use it every third day as it would be a bit too harsh to use daily. I really feel like it gets my face clean and the scent is actually quite pleasant. Lastly, the stuff lasts forever as you only need a very small amount to get your whole face clean as the proverbial whistle : )
