Estee Lauder Idealist Even Skintone Illuminator

    just for the aesthetic effect

The product did nothing for my skin. The shimmer seems to give you a glowing complexion but besides this, there's no other reason to use it because there is really no benefit your skin.

    Clinique Clarifying Lotion 2

    My favorite toner

The Clinique consultant assisted me with my 3-step skin care regimen. She suggested the soap for cleansing and the dramatically different moisturizing lotion. Upon learning that I have combination skin and is prone to break outs, she suggested that I use Clarifying lotion number 3, which is for combination skin and left red blotches in my face after several use. I went back to Clinique and they changed my regimen to this clarifying lotion. The number 2 is perfect for me. It is strong enough to cleanse and remove all dirt left behind by the soap and yet gentle enough not to irritate my combination skin. It also works very well in prepping your skin for the moisturizer. The part that I love the most is the tingling sensation you feel after each use. it makes me feel really fresh and really clean. I love this product. I already stop my 3-step skin care regimen as I got older and needed products that will combat signs of aging. However, I continued using the clarifying lotion 2. I still use it after cleansing and before I put my anti-aging serum and my moisturizer. Excellent product!

    Clinique Clarifying Lotion 3

Too strong for my combination skin

The Cliniqdue consultant recommended the Clarifying lotion number 3 for my 3-step regimen upon learning that I have combination skin. However, it left my skin dry and I had red blotches after several days of use. I went back to Clinique, explained what happened to the consultant and she said that the product is probably too strong for my skin. She then recommended using number 2, for normal skin. This worked way better for me than the number 3. It is strong enough to cleanse the dirt left behind by the soap but gentle enough not to irritate my skin. if you have a combination skin, try the number 2 first before going to this product.

  • Clinique Clarifying Lotion 1

This product works the same as the mild clarifying lotion without the sticky residue. However, you do not feel the tingling sensation that you feel with the clarifying lotion 2, 3, and 4, probably because it has less alcohol or salycilic acid. Hence, I do not feel that fresh feeling after I use it.

  • Clinique Acne Solutions Clarifying Lotion

There is nothing special about this toner. There are a lot of other products that are cheaper and works just as well, maybe even better, than this clarifying toner. Also, it leaves a sticky residue in my skin after each usage, probably because of the fact that there some gel component into it. I think the $3 Oil of Olay works just as good as this one without the sticky residue.

  • Clinique 3-Step Kit with Facial Soap - Combination Oily and Oily Skin Types

I used this product for years when I was younger. I have combination skin and I started with the clarifying lotion number 3, which the Clinique consultant recommended after learning that I'm prone to break outs. It worked well with my acne, however, it dried my skin. I tried the one for sensitive skin (number 1) and the one labeled mild, but Both do not feel like they were helping and I feel a sticky residue in my face. I went back to Clinique and the consultant finally recommended the clarifying lotion number 2 (for normal skin). This worked the best for as it is less harsh than number 3. The Clinique soap, as well as the moisturizing lotion, worked for me as well. No break out. However, my skin outgrew the product. As I got older, I realize that it does not offer me the anti-aging regimen that I need to combat wrinkles and signs of aging. I am currently not using this regimen anymore.

  • Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion

This product is just what it says: a lotion (dramatically different or not). This will moisturize but it will not prevent or diminish wrinkles, fade discolorations and age spots, control acne or break outs, or help with any skin problems. I use it when I was a little younger but now that I am in my forties and I need some help from anti-aging products :-). I realized that this moisturize will not help my skin anymore. if you are younger and you're prone to break out, this will work for you as it is lighter than other moisturizers. It is also non-greasy and gets absorbed by the skin pretty quickly. But do not expect anything more than that. However, it's priced competitively.

    Clinique Liquid Facial Soap

I traded my Clinique soap for this

I have combination skin and I thought that this liquid cleanser will be better than the Clinique bar (soap). I usually love Clinique products, but this one is not for me. This product dried my skin. My skin felt tight, and not in a good way, whenever I use it. I have to moisturizes heavily after each usage as I feel discomfort in my face.

  • Josie Maran 100% Pure Argan Oil

I have oily skin and prone to adult acne. I am in my late 40s and now find myself in need of anti-wrinkle creams. I tried a lot of different brands but they cause my skin to break out. Finally, one Sephora staff suggested that I try this argan oil as an anti-aging serum and use it before I put my moisturizer. So, I did and it worked great. My regimen consists of cleaning my face with a gentle Estée Lauder cleanser, then I use the Josie Maran argan oil serum followed by my Estée Lauder Time Zone line and wrinkle reducing cream. In just a few weeks, I noticed improvement in my overall skin appearance. My skin is moist but not greasy and I have not had any break out ever since. The oil also works great in my hair, cuticles, and whole body. It seems expensive ($14 for .5 fl. Oz. bottle) but a little drop goes a long way. I believe my $14 dollar bottle lasted over a month, maybe longer. This is so much cheaper as compared to other anti-aging serums that I've tried that caused my skin to break out. I used it in my hair, face, hands, legs, feet. I use it all over my body. I love this product.

  • Estee Lauder Futurist Age-Resisting Makeup SPF 15

This is probably one of the best liquid foundation in the market right now. It glides on smoothly, it moisturizes, it protects with the SPF15, and it looks so natural. It is a little expensive but worth the price.
