a very light moisturizing cream
Because I liked the total effects daily moisturizer with spf, I decided to try their night cream for no other reason that I don't need spf at night or when I sleep. The cream comes in a tub that means your fingers, ideally clean can over over the top of the cream in the different parts of the radius of the tub. Which is to say I much prefer the pump bottle of their day variety. I like the scent. I find it mild and I also appreciate it that it lasts long. I love how it is so light on my skin. I also love the moisturizing effect. It also gets absorbed quickly so I don't have to wait long before I can go to bed. It doesn't smudge off on to my pillows either. I don't see much anti aging though since my pores have remained the same way in terms of size, depth and number since I started all the total effects products. Olay claims that enlarged pores is a sign of aging, which I believe since I distinctly recall my pores not being the way they are when I was in my early 20's.

Cream Cleanser that suits me
I read somewhere that after you hit 30 you need to let go of the lather up foamy cleansers for something else. This is the something else that I found useful. I used the other variety they have which is the normal (non-blemish), but I turned to this anti blemish variety for the salicylic acid it claims it has. It's a cream cleanser with a few beads. So it helps a little with exfoliation which 30 something women will need extra help on every week as opposed to every other week back in our 20's. I love how this cream cleanser makes me feel after I rinse it off. My skin feels very smooth and very clean. I don't much see any anti aging effect with this product but if the fact that it doesn't completely dry me out is there way to keep me moisturized then that's it. It's not too expensive either. But you know how some eyeliners or mascaras are tough to remove? That you either revert back to the classic cold cream make up remover or these nouveau eye make up removers such as from l'oreal dermo or lancome's effacil? Well with this cleanser, I have to do a once over, then repeat around the eye area to get rid of the gel liner or some mascara or eyeliner that have migrated to my lower lid and or outer corner of my eyes. I also wish that it came out in a pump action bottle instead of a tube.

Crepey with foundation
Because my mother used to use oil of olay, I thought it wouldn't hurt to try the millennium version which is olay. I find the olay total effects daily moisturizer is a good moisturizer with spf and it smells nice as well so I thought of giving their eye cream a go. I like the Niacinamide in it, a vitamin is still a vitamin. The aloe is good, too. Unfortunately, after I finish this bottle/tub, I most like will not buy this again. Not only is it too pricey, it takes too long dry. It also doesn't do much for the depth of wrinkles that I am beginning to have. It's tinted so I have to pay extra attention if my concealer or foundation would be lighter on my lower lid and that look of having white lower lids like from wearing sun glasses while the rest of your face is tanned, yuck! Having mentioned mixing this with foundation or concealer, it tends to be crepey. If i don't wait long, the foundation slides off, too. so if I know i'll be wearing foundation for an event, i don't wear the eye cream to avoid the crepe. So now I will hunt for an eye cream with Niacinamide but not tinted with hyaluronate!

The Body Shop Cheek Blush
If some of the people have read my reviews, most of the products I try are from The Body Shop. I use their cheek blush alternately to their lip and cheek stain depending on my mood or how oily my facial skin is that day. I like the fact that it comes in a very compact tube so it's always in my bag. I keep it as back up for small touch ups. It's the type of make up that you don't need a whole production number to use. Just a small amount on the apples of my cheeks and I'm set. It looks very natural and makes me look healthy and it doesn't look as though i even have make up on which is a plus for me. It blends well on my skin weather I have foundation on or not. It blends well with my pressed powders and does not disappear. I sometimes use it as a base for my eyeshadow and it works and blends well. It slides off my skin a little when I blot my face with oil absorbing paper. It doesn't last as long as their lip-cheek stain variety and what I don't appreciate is the price for the amount of cream-gel product inside the tube compared to the same type of product in the market. But one can debate that a little of this product goes a long way so it's actually cheaper than its competitors. You be the judge, alot of the body shop products are a more expensive than other products because of the ingredients they use and they use no short cuts meaning no animal testing so that's part of what we pay for.

The Body shop Lip & Cheek Stain
I would buy this again if it were on on sale. I love The Body Shop products, this one is no exception. I have a very very pale yellowy complexion and there are many occasions that I look like a clown wearing blushers and the like. This one looks very very natural on me and a little goes a long way. I love how it blends on my skin alone, on pressed powder, or on my mousse foundation. It's even less expensive by about a few dollars than other lip and cheek stains out there. It lasts long on my skin and does not get wiped off when I use blotting oil absorbing paper on my face. What I don't like about it is that crud scum thing that forms around the screw cap where the applicator bud is attached. I also avoid putting it on my lips because apart from the body shop's lip color lipstick, my lips just get cracked and chapped, which did when I tried the stain on my lips. Maybe if it came in a turn style stick with a brush at the end and if it came out as a gel like stila's lip and cheek stain the product would avoid the scum formation at the screw cap, but if that will make it as expensive as stila's product then I suppose I can make due with this body shop one.

The Body Shop Lip Color
Since I like The Body Shop I often get stuck there and end up buying their cosmetics on top of my usual necessities which are my usual facial care line and my boyfriend's man's facial wash scrub. I got this lip color and I like the fact that there's moisturizer and that the numbers 42 and 47 go so well with my skin tone. The number 42 one look so natural on me that it looks like it made me look healthy, While the number 47 is more of a night time shade for going out or cocktails. The lipstick also slides on my lips quite smoothly and of all the lipsticks I have tried, including make up forever's lip gloss, these ones from the body shop do not crack and chap my lips. That alone would make me buy it again. The color remains the same or does not change because of my own chemical nature. The color doesn't change even in pictures. The packaging doesn't make it different from the other brands. It has no scent which makes it ok by me. The price could be a little lower, considering that the maybelline moisture extreme lipstick would have the same effect on softness on lips and is priced less compared to the body shop's $9 lip color. The color doesn't last too long either, it sticks to your cup or glass when drinking so retouching is a must after your lunch. But apart from that I believe in the body shop's community trade and their claims of no animal testing so I would most likely buy this lipstick again especially if it's on sale.

stays matte for a while
the good: the price, i can afford it! i like the fact that it's not liquid, but not powder so it's easy to put on. no need for foundation brush or sponges, your ring finger would do. i like the coverage and how really near it is to my skin tone. it doesn't cake up except if you have eye cream but that's my eye cream's fault. the bad: only stays matte for me for about a couple of hours. i bought this thing because of my oily t-zone area. alas i would get only again and need to retouch or need those oil absorbent film, but i have maybelline's clear smooth shine free face powder, so the two together is a good combination, well for about another couple of hours.

matte for about a day
the good: i find it very light on my skin. spreads easily and gets absorbed by my skin quickly. it worked for about a couple of hours on my nose. the rest of my face stayed almost oil free, i am very pleased to report that though my nose got oily again after about only a couple of hours, the amount of oil that was able to go through the cream was greatly decreased compared to not using the cream. after that i would just use oil absorbing paper to take away the excess and dab shine-free or oil absorbing face powder and am good again for another couple of hours. the bad: the price, at least it only takes very little to spread all over my t-zone area, so the price or value can be spread out for a number of months' use. the smell. it kinda reminds me of rubber and paper which would have been ok had i not smelled the other products on their seaweed line. the other seaweed products on this line from body shop smell way better.
