  • Gillette Venus Embrace Razor

Just in time for the warmer weather! This razor has given me the closest shave--ever. I was initially concerned that the wide size of cartridge would prevent it from getting into small places, but nope, it's good! Not only does it go places, it doesn't give me any nicks or razor burn. It glides over skin and gets rid of hair on the first swipe. (Usually my underarms require a couple back and forths, but not with this baby!) Love it!

    Aveda Hand Relief

    a must try!

If I don’t put hand cream on every night before going to bed, things get really ugly. I wake up with hangnails all over the place and palms so rough you’d think I just got off my night shift building an interstate. That’s why I keep Aveda Hand Relief next to my bed. It is, hands down (no pun intended), the best hand cream I’ve ever used. This ultra-hydrating cream will leave your mits feeling like buttah. Formulated with hydrating plant emollients, humectants, exfoliating fruit acids and anti-oxidants, including vitamins A and E, this cream really conditions skin. I love Hand Relief because it really soaks into skin and softens hands up, leaving a very noticeable difference. You have to experience this cream to know exactly what I’m talking about. So the next time you’re cruising around the mall, pop into Aveda and just try it. Trust me, you’ll be hooked.

  • Maybelline New York Lash Stiletto Ultimate Length Washable Mascara

By all accounts, I am a girl who likes her lashes thick. But lately I’ve been digging this mascara for wispy, flirty, long lashes. This mascara stretches out lashes for length, which is especially noticeable on the lower lashes (which I love). Never clumpy, it does a superb job of defining lashes, thanks to its bristly brush. The shape of the brush also makes it easy to catch the tiny inner corner lashes. And, although it isn’t a curling formula, it somehow manages to give my lashes a bit of curl anyway–awesome. The formula is somewhat buildable, too, and multiple coats gives stand-out lashes.

  • Revlon Cuticle Trimmer with Cap

I have the thickest cuticles know to man. Where I would be without this tool, I don't know. The Revlon Cuticle Trimmer cuts through thick cuticles, leaving a nice and tidy nail bed behind. The bent shape maneuvers around curves with ease. I find it easier and faster to use than cuticle nippers, and I will never be without this tool. The trimmer starts off super sharp–so be careful. It does dull down pretty fast, but it still gets the job done, without pulling the skin or giving cuts.

  • L'Oreal Paris Ideal Skin Genesis Deep Purifiying Foaming Cream Cleanser

What caught my attention about this product was the fact that there’s clay in it. Because clay is very purifying, I immediately thought, “score!” Aside from the performance factor, it also makes this drugstore cleanser seem a little bit fancier. In addition to the clay, there’s also Beta Hydroxy Acid (BHA) and micro-beads to exfoliate the surface of the skin. The scrubbing factor is somewhat mild, but, combined with the BHA, it’s definitely doing the job. While this cleanser doesn’t foam too much, it definitely deep cleanses. It removes all of my makeup, breaks down any oil and leaves my skin feeling smooth, and even a tad dry. Despite the fact that my skin isn’t sensitive at all, I get a warm sensation from the BHA during cleansing, but my skin does appear brighter. So for those who have normal to oily skin, try it, but those with sensitive or dry skin should skip it.

  • Revlon ColorStay Active Light Makeup

This is one of my all-time favorite foundations. It’s oil-free, sweat-proof and won’t do a disappearing act. Now, for being dubbed a lightweight foundation, this formula sure has incredible coverage. The medium coverage creamy formula camouflages most imperfections and the fact that this foundation has an SPF of 25 makes it ideal for sunny weather. I’ve worn this foundation many a times at the gym or at the pool, and it survives everything from spin class to getting splashed. In addition to its long-wearing properties, I love how the creamy texture melts into skin, giving it a natural satin finish that looks dewy and fresh.

  • Maybelline New York Dream Mousse Blush

I have the soft plum shade. This blush glides on nice and light, it's easy to blend, and the color really pops and lasts. The color looks sheer and natural on the cheeks, like a beautiful glow. It's also great for us gals who fawn over cream blush, but have difficulty pulling it off due to oily skin. Mousse is a wearable alternative to powder blush that stays put and won't get shiny. The only drawback of a mousse-based product is it can get a little dry. I don't really see this being an issue if you use this product frequently, but if you have, oh say 35 blushes and you only get around to using this once a month, then that might be something to consider. Mine is a little bit spongy, but still usable. Although, truth be told, I've had it for well over a year, probably two.

  • Maybelline New York Dream Matte Powder

Generally, I like Maybelline products a lot, but this was a bust for me. Instead of looking like a smooth, invisible veil, this powder sat on top of my skin looking grainy and somewhat orange. Even though this powder is supposedly jet-milled, it doesn't have the ultra-fine texture of higher-end brands.

  • Maybelline New York Superstay Gloss

Ok, I usually don't have much faith in long-wearing lip products, but I had to try this product---and I really like it! The color glides on evenly, and can be applied sheer or built-up with a few coats for stronger color. Once it dries in two minutes, the extremely glossy topcoat is applied. The clear topcoat is very thick and shiny, and is similar to MAC's clear lipglass. This gloss stays on much longer than the average lipgloss. The clear topcoat stays on for a very long time, and even after it wears off, the lipcolor won't turn crumbly and dry, or dare leave a ring around the lips. My favorite shades are Radiant Ruby, Citrus Glow and Golden Toffee.

  • Dermalogica AGE Smart Antioxidant Hydramist

I love instant gratification, and Dermalogica's Antioxidant Hydramist gives it to me. This anti-aging, free-radical fighting mist-on toner has got me hooked. Now, I'm pretty skeptical when it comes to toners, but with this baby, the results speak for themselves. Just a couple spritzes noticeably hydrates skin and gives skin a glow, making skin feel replenished after cleansing. The spray bottle is uncomplicated and makes the toner effortless to use. It contains Hyaluronic acid, one of the foremost ingredients for hydration. Plus, the aging, damaging effects of free radicals can't be denied, and this toner fights back with antioxidants White Tea, Licorice and Vitamin E. Also, it utilizes a patented polypeptide, a highly-active Vitamin C complex and collagen-stimulating peptides to encourage firmness and elasticity to help reduce the appearance of fine lines. It doesn't contain any artificial fragrance or color, but it does have delightful Rose and Clove extracts that give it a wonderful, natural scent.
