Here are all my reviews:
  • Mario Badescu Skin Care Mario Badescu Hyaluronic Eye Cream

This is surprisingly heavy for an eye cream that is marketed as one of the medium weight creams in the line. I quickly adapted to using much less than I ordinarily would and was much happier with the product. (This seems to be a standard response to Mario Badescu products. They tend to go a little further than I'm expecting them to). Over several weeks of nighttime use and at least a week wearing it night and day, this did not perform any miracles for me. It did, however, help with irritation from wind-burn around my eyes and eliminate a couple of dry patches I was developing. Other than that, this is a perfectly serviceable moisturizer for the eye area. It is light on irritating ingredients and isn't heavily fragranced or colored, so may be suitable for sensitive skin. But other products can do more at this price point, and there are even better eye creams in the line.

  • E.L.F. Essential Eye Shadow Brush

This is a good brush that doesn't shed much and is nice for broad sweeps of color. It's soft, thick and great for blending out darker shades of shadow. It does, however, eat my powdered eyeshadow faster than the similar Studio eyeshadow brush does. It seems to deposit less of the color on my lids and more down the drain when I rinse it. But with some eyelid primer I can get plenty of color on my face, and I use this brush to sweep on setting powder or highlighter more often than my other brushes because it makes such a soft line.

    E.L.F. Essentials Eyelid Primer

    Effective and inexpensive

I've used two tubes of this primer in the "sheer" shade. The improvement in staying power and intensity for my powder eyeshadows is noticeable, and I've had less trouble with crayon eyeliner migration. I haven't noticed any difference with mascara. The primer comes with a wand applicator and applies unevenly to the lids, but blends nicely with a fingertip. It sets quickly and you're left with that tell-tale "silicone" velvety feel. I haven't noticed a smell for the product and the sheer color is a peachy nude that blends out enough that it doesn't really contribute much color. This will not treat your eyes and they won't look amazingly bright or radiant, but as a makeup base (or to combat oily lids) it's great. I reach for it automatically now whenever I go near my eyes with makeup.

  • Mario Badescu Skin Care Mario Badescu Ceramide Eye Gel

If you aren't battling major dryness, noticeably aged skin or very dark circles, this will be a fantastic "standard" eye treatment to keep the skin around your eyes moisturized and smooth. It applies easily and feels soothing rather than refreshing. Mario Badescu recommends a swipe across the crease outward and then inward along the undereye. Applying in this motion, I can put just a little dab on each ring finger. The gel looks like it will be thin or sticky, but it's surprisingly creamy and settles in very quickly. I haven't noticed any change in dark circles, but have some lines under my eyes that have become slightly less noticeable over the last 5-6 weeks. The skin under my eyes feels consistently comfortable and soft and my eyelids are firm and smooth. The gel works well as a daytime product, providing a nice smooth base for applying undereye concealer. It doesn't seem to be working any miracles, but if you're just looking for something simple to keep your eye area in good shape (perhaps in the 20s->30s) it will do the job. Mario Badescu's recommendation to store it in the fridge is a good one. It makes for a nice treat after a sleepless night. A side note: I'm fairly prone to milia and haven't seen an increase while using this product. This does seem to fall on the richer end of the eye gel spectrum, though.

  • Mario Badescu Skin Care Mario Badescu Enzyme Cleansing Gel

I first received this product as a free sample, purchased a full size bottle and have been using it for about two months. My skin is combination, acne-prone (closed comedones are my main concern, some cystic acne) and tends to throw acne and flaking fits in cold weather or dry conditions. This cleanser is gentle enough for the drier areas of my face, but effective at removing oil, dirt and most makeup. The bottle has a nice cap for dispensing a controlled amount of cleanser, and you only need an amount the size of a pea to wash face and neck. I sometimes go as extravagant as a dime-sized dollop when removing makeup, or double-cleanse beginning with Cerave's foaming facial cleanser and following up with this and follow with a toner (whatever is around, usually). The cleanser is a creamy gel that smells fresh and a bit fruity. You can glide it on to a wet face or smooth it over dry skin, which I feel works a little better at giving me a "glow" but is harder to manage. I work it in a little with my fingers and leave the thin layer of cleanser on my face for a minute or two, then I rinse with warm water and gently wipe with a wet washcloth. I've also used this with a facial brush. It's a bit strange having no lather, but my face does get very clean. Over time this product has smoothed out the bumpy texture of the skin on my forehead a bit, and I'm having success using it as part of an acne-prevention regimen. If your skin is very dry you might prefer a cleansing milk instead, and if your skin is very oily or you have lots of blackheads you might prefer MB's acne facial cleanser, which has salicylic acid. But for normal skin or combination skin with acne that isn't very severe, this is a nice choice that won't strip your face.
