Who among us hasn't tried umpteen different ways to effectively remove makeup? I went through a period of dampening a cotton ball with what was purported to be a good eye makeup remover and then cleansing the rest of my face with another product. Results? Not too satisfactory! However, patience does seem to have its rewards because after years of trying, experimenting, and, yes, tugging of skin, I've found Armani's Cream Nera Mineral Cleansing Balm. Balm is often defined as an ointment used to heal or soothe the skin. Precisely! When you massage this Cleansing Balm over your face, it becomes an oil that simply melts makeup! Once that has been done, the Balm and the makeup are easily rinsed away. As if the gentle thorough cleansing were not enough the Balm leaves skin soft, shining with a healthy glow. Another A for Armani!

How do I love Lancome Color Fever Plumper? Let me tell you the whys. It gives lips an added fullness immediately yet without the burning sensation of other plumpers. After all, "Hot Lips" was only on "Mash" - remember that? It can be worn as a gloss with a bevy of beautiful colors from which to choose (Try "Souffle" for a golden coral or "Puckered for a glistening innocent pink). It can also be worn as a primer under lipstick, which I often do. It can be blotted without disappearing if I want a matte finish. It does not leave traces on my teeth if I smile as my last plumper did. (Somehow a gooey pink on pearly whites spoils the effect). Another lovely from Lancome! - Gail Cooke

Whether I'm "holding hands at midnight," lending a hand, or being "the hand that rocks the cradle," let's face it, my hands are always on display. Of course, I want them to look appealing and feel soft and smooth, too. That can be a bit of a challenge considering all the tasks they do and that I can't hold back the hands of time! For me, the absolute worst are sun spots, age spots, hearty freckles, whatever you want to call them, they're brown. Absolue Hand cream is formulated to discourage, diminish, zap those unwanted visitors. In addition, it protects with UV FPS 15. I love to garden and all that fun in the sun has taken a bit of a toll. However, after just a few weeks of use there's a noticeable difference in the skin on my hands - it's clearer, softer and even firmer. This cream provides the ultimate in hydration without stickiness. With other hand creams or lotions I used to put a dab in the palm of my hand then rub hands together. I've found optimum results with Absolue Hand by first applying to the backs of hands and then massaging. An A for Absolue Hand - with multiple benefits it tops my A-list for hand creams. $42.00 for 3.4 oz. that lasts and lasts at lancome-usa.com. - Gail Cooke
