Here are all my reviews:
  • Olay Complete All Day Moisturizer with Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 15 - Normal

I use the sensitive skin version of this moisturizer because practically everything seems to make me break out in hives, and the big upside is that it doesn't have the Olay scent (which I find overwhelming on my face). This is an extremely effective, non-greasy product, which is exactly what I need on a daily basis for my oily (but dry?) skin. I use it morning and night and have not had any problems with additional acne, so it appears to also be non-clogging (as it advertises). I'm not sure why I used other moisturizers on the market for so long!

  • Basis Cleaner Clean Face Wash

I actually purchased this after reading rave reviews about it here. I have naturally oily, acne prone, blemished skin, but I also live in a dry climate, so I battle the worst of all worlds. I think this is the cleanest my skin has ever felt, without being super tight afterward. It is soap-free and oil-free, so it's perfect for sensitive skin (which I also have, of course), and it has a very pleasant scent. I will say that it seems to dry out my skin more than my previous face wash, but it's nothing a little moisturizer can't fix. This has been a great find!

  • The Body Shop Define & Lengthen Mascara

The Body Shop Define & Lengthen Mascara

    Now Called Divide & Multiply

Since I'm Asian and have monolids (sounds like a disease, no?), mascara has always kind of eluded me. I very rarely ever wore it because there was little I could do to make them visible. And to top it off, I recently tossed my eyelash curler out, so it's just me and a mascara brush. The Divide & Multiply mascara brush is really unique and absolutely makes my lashes appear longer, without clumping. Just a couple coats of this mascara makes my eyes look a little more feminine, and I'm excited to purchase a new lash curler to really make them pop!

  • The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil Daily Cleansing Wipes

The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil Daily Cleansing Wipes

Great, but don't use them on your eyes!

I think I speak for basically all makeup wearing women when I say sometimes you are not in the mood to wash your face with cleanser and towel off and apply whatever night treatment you use. Sometimes you just want to swipe and go. These are probably the best wipes I've ever used because they actually get all my makeup off, rather than leaving behind traces. The tea tree oil is great for sensitive skin, and they've never made me breakout. However, I noticed after using them to remove my eyeliner a few nights, I developed styes along both lashlines. Since then, I've used traditional eye makeup remover and avoided my eyes with the wipes and have been fine.

  • The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil Blemish Fade Night Lotion

This was highly recommended to me by the saleswoman in The Body Shop, and since I love the company and its social awareness (free trade and no animal testing), I figured I'd purchase it in spite of the pretty ridiculous cost. The tea tree oil scent is quite prevalent, so if you have a sensitive nose, you might want to steer clear or else it might keep you awake. I've used it almost every night for almost a month and haven't noticed any changes in my blemishes, but I won't give up hope till the entire bottle is empty. I will say that an upside is that you need to use maybe a pea-sized dollop for your entire face. It's also non-greasy and dries fairly quickly.

  • Olay Pro-X Clear Acne Protocol
    7.0

    Olay Pro-X Clear Acne Protocol

    Good for adult onset acne

I am a 28 year old who was "blessed" with adult onset acne, primarily on my chin and temples, and sensitive skin. After trying literally every acne cream doctors and drugstores had to offer (aside from Accutane), I'd kind of given up hope. I saw an ad for the Olay Pro-X system, found an online coupon, and figured I would give it a shot. This was much gentler on my skin than Proactiv (which in my opinion is a sham) and seemed to help pretty well. That being said, I wouldn't purchase the 3-step protocol again. The face wash is pretty good, but the bottle is quite small and chances are you'll run out of it first, which is obviously not helpful. The acne treatment is probably the best I've tried thus far for a variety of reasons: first, it cleared up a lot of my acne, from the whiteheads to the cysts, in a pretty timely manner. Second, it doesn't leave a film or residue on your skin and dries almost immediately, so you can apply it before your moisturizer and makeup and never know the difference. This lasted me four months, so I'm glad I didn't sign up to receive an automatic refill. The renewing lotion is kind of a scam, I'm afraid. It's not much of a moisturizer and I didn't notice any real difference in the darkness of my blemishes. Plus, it has no SPF in it, and by the time you apply the acne treatment, some SPF, the renewing lotion, and foundation, you'd probably be feeling pretty gross. It's lasted me the longest of all three products, which is kind of a pity since it's my least favorite. My recommendation is to purchase the face wash (or supplement it with whatever face wash you prefer) and acne treatment a la carte and finding an all-purpose moisturizer with SPF built in.

  • Aquaphor Healing Ointment

    Aquaphor Healing Ointment

    Amazing for dry skin

I originally lived in a somewhat humid state and then moved to an extremely dry climate, so naturally my skin decided to react accordingly and crack and peel every day. After trying body butters, cocoa butter, and other dry skin products, along with a prescription from my dermatologist, I remembered a small tube of Aquaphor lip treatment I'd used years ago. I am so glad I did! This is the real McCoy and you need maybe a pea sized drop for both your hands. The only reason this product isn't a 10 is that it's so thick that it literally never absorbs and I have to wear gloves to bed to avoid getting stains on my sheets and pillowcases. But if you have dry skin, this will take care of it better than anything else.

  • Avon Glimmersticks Eye Liner

    Avon Glimmersticks Eye Liner

The tips will break off...and break off again.

I purchased this because it was on sale, and initially I was remarkably pleased with the deep color and extremely smooth line. I really, really wanted to love this product. Unfortunately during the second application, the tip broke off. I figured that'll happen from time to time, so I thought nothing off it and twisted for a little more. Then the tip broke again. And again. And it broke till the entire stick was gone. I thought it might have just been a defect, so I emailed the company and they kindly sent me a replacement, free of charge, but it, too, broke at the tip several times. I didn't tug or pull and had a very gentle stroke, so I didn't feel like there was any reason for that to occur - especially on two separate occasions. If you can manage to order a liner that doesn't break at the tip, however, you've probably got yourself a fantastic, smooth, well pigmented liner.

  • E.L.F. Shine Eraser

    E.L.F. Shine Eraser

    For $1, these are amazing

I have a very oily complexion, so I purchased these when I got married and knew I wanted to avoid any unsightly shininess in my T-zone (which was about a year ago). I don't use these as regularly as I probably should, but you know, these are extremely decent. It usually takes two sheets for my face, late in the day, and they absorb nearly all the oil. I will say, however, that if these cost as much as many of the competitors, I'd probably skip them. So, my positive review is partially entrenched in the fact that they're inexpensive. In reality, toilet paper does just as good a job at absorbing oil as any specialty product, but for a dollar, why not buy these and keep them in your purse?

  • Almay Intense i-Color Eyeliner
    2.0

    Almay Intense i-Color Eyeliner

    Smudgy, smeary mess

I'll start with the upside of this eyeliner, and that is that it comes with a sharpener, which is awesome. However, many "self-sharpening" eyeliners these days come with sharpeners, so it's nothing too special. I wear eyeliner every day, and have for years and years. I prefer self-sharpening because of the convenience, and generally haven't had many problems. However this particular brand smears, literally within the first thirty minutes of wearing it. I'd apply it before work, arrive at the office, and have eyeliner smudged along my lower lashline - and I only apply it to the top! I've read some reviews in which people said it lasted quite awhile for them, which is lucky, but I had nothing but trouble with this liner from day one.
