Actually makes my curls hold!
I was really skeptical about buying this curling iron, especially since I had seen similar ones in the "As Seen on TV" that had horrible ratings, but for $30, I'd figure I'd give it a try. Definitely worth the $30. You can control the temperature (which can get fairly high) and can lock in the temp. I find this very useful, because the higher the temp, the longer my curl holds. It also tapers in barrel thickness, so you can use the end close to the handle for wider curls, or the other end for more spirally curls. Also, my hair is wavy, but if I ever use a curling iron to make the curl hold, it NEVER does, unless I use an entire can of hairspray. Somehow this curling iron has held my curls all day (they look a little bit softer now, and may need a slight retouching) after hours and hours of walking around in the humid weather. If the iron ever just stops working, I'm totally buying another one. Plus, this one comes with a full handed glove (unlike the other ones that only have a glove that covers two fingers), so you can use your hand to kind of glide the hair around the barrel without being burned. Of course it isn't completely heat resistant, but you'll get used to how to fix your hair with the glove and won't burn yourself.

I was hesitant to buy these, but I went ahead and bought them, and so far I like it. I just put them on, so I'll have to see how long they last, but so far so good. It's a little difficult to get the hang of applying them, especially if you can't center it on the nail the first time around, but any mistakes aren't noticeable, and there's no dry time! I always mess up my finger nails right away after applying polish, so I just never wear nail polish, but this could definitely help out and allow me to have nice nails for special occasions.
