  • Revlon Grow Luscious Plumping Mascara

Well, I bought this mascara in hopes of getting something to add a little volume and thickness to my lashes, but this just overdoes it. I've always had to use waterproof mascara because my lashes fall with regular mascara, yet with this mascara (even the waterproof kind), I had to wear a different waterproof mascara under it to keep them from falling. That lost a lot of potential points from me. Then it does distribute a lot more mascara, but it is TOO much! If you don't get it perfectly the first time around, your lashes look clumpy and it's hard to separate them after. Of course, that looks ok from far away but up close, it looks horrible. It doesn't flake off, which is good, but I really don't like how clumpy it makes my lashes look. I'm definitely not buying this again.

  • Lumene Vitamin C+ Pure Radiance Day Cream

I received this product after winning a contest and I'm glad I got to try it, but I don't think the $20 price tag is justified. It is a light cream and feels good when you apply it to the skin. I love the light smell of the lotion, and at first thought it was doing a pretty good job at moisturizing my skin, however the more I used it, the more I started to realize that the moisture doesn't last long enough for me. I do have really dry skin since I used to be on Isotretinoin (Accutane), so this might work well for those of you will less parched skin. I also used it for 3-4 weeks every day, but didn't really see my skin becoming more radiant (their website says 75% of people saw more radiant skin in two weeks). I'll definitely continue to use it until the container is empty, but I won't buy it again unless it's 50% off or something.

  • NYX Cosmetics Love in Paris Eye Shadow Palette

I have this palette in Je Ne Sais Quoi (LIP 10) and think it's definitely a good palette for the price ($10 for 9 shadows). Especially considering the price, the color payoff is good. I am able to use them with or without eye primers (my eye lids are not oily) and definitely love the colors included. I've never owned high end eye shadows but I've seen videos where the color seems to go on very easy; I wouldn't say that these go on as easy as ones like MAC appear to, but if you don't mind putting a little extra time and effort into it, you can get a nice look with these. I probably have better luck with these than with Maybelline single eye shadows, and probably about the same if not better than the Revlon quads. If you are looking for some palettes but not wanting to spend lots of money, give this a shot.

    Lee Stafford Hair Growth Treatment

    I love this hair treatment

I bought this on a whim from Ulta and would definitely buy it again. Every time I use it, my hair feels super soft and feels hydrated. The only down-ish side to the product is it kinda smells like some sort of men's cologne. It doesn't bother me and it isn't overpowering (like if you just walked into a room where a man has sprayed tons of Axe -- not that type of smell or overpowering scent) however it is noticeable to me most of the day. After I use it my boyfriend always tells me I smell like a man (haha), but it is a good-man smell. It tells you to use an egg size portion in your hair, and so it seems like you would run out of product relatively quickly, but I only use it maybe once a month or so, so it's lasted me a while. I wish it was a little less expensive, however I would definitely buy it again.

  • Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine Conditioner

I have semi-wavy (on the verge of curly in some areas) thin long hair. I don't ever buy expensive shampoos and conditioners because I my skin gets easily irritated by the scents in many of the high end products. I'd rather run the risk of my skin reacting to a product when I'm paying a few dollars for it than $30+ for a bottle I won't be able to finish. So I was looking for a new conditioner and came across this one. I think someone in my family used to use Garnier Fructis and so I'll jump from brand to brand and try out products I know my family has liked. I decided to give this a try. I like the scent, and I feel like the conditioner is thicker (maybe not as thick as some of the Pantene Pro-V conditioners) but it isn't runny like the Tresemme ones (which I like too). With the thicker consistency I feel like I can use less product and still get soft hair as a result. I wouldn't necessarily say that my hair was sleek after using this product, but I don't usually fall into the claims hair companies put out there anyways. While using this product my hair felt moisturized, smelled nice, and looks healthy. I'd definitely buy it again.

  • Yes to Carrots C Through the Night, Night Moisturizing Cream

I got this cream as part of a value set from Target and I was so excited that I was going to get a night time moisturizer with an eye cream I was trying from the same line. In general, when you buy a cream that is labeled "Night cream", you assume it is thicker and more emollient and expect for your skin to feel hydrated after using. I don't recall it having a strong scent, but it was scented. I tried using it for a few weeks but just had to throw it away because it wasn't moisturizing my skin at all. I felt like I was just putting a layer of stuff on top of my skin and getting nothing from it at all, no moisture, no improved texture, nothing. After trying this product, their eye contour cream, and a lip balm, I can pretty much say that I won't be buying anything from Yes To again.

  • Yes to Carrots Eye Can C Clearly Now Eye Contour Cream

This product came in a value set I purchased at Target. I was looking for a nice moisturizer for my eyes and thought I'd give this brand a try since they advertise using natural ingredients. I was so excited to get home and try it but after a week or so of using it, I had to throw it away. The product did not smell bad or strongly. Everytime I would put it on and then put on anything else on top of it, including another moisturizer, the product would flake off. I always felt like if it was just forming a layer of gunk on my skin that would rub off, kind of like how your skin rubs off when you've had a bad sunburn. Basically, I wasn't going to be able to use this under makeup or under anything else, and if I rubbed my eyes, it all flaked off. It wasn't worth the money for me and I am having a hard time finding anything I like from the Yes To brand.

  • Neutrogena Visibly Bright Daily Facial Cleanser

I had high hopes for this cleanser since it is Neutrogena, however after trying it two separate times for at least a week or two each time, I had to get rid of it. I'm pretty sure the brightening effect is due to the pearlescent color of the face wash, since it looks like it has a golden sheen to it. The smell is nice and it suds up nicely, however my skin couldn't tolerate this face wash. After a few uses, my skin felt rough and bumpy, got red and itchy, and started to peel and feel really tight. I used to have great results with Neutrogena face washes, but this one just didn't work out well for me. It did get all my makeup off, but most cleansers are able to do that too without irritating my skin so much.

  • Yes to Carrots Lip Butter

    Yes to Carrots Lip Butter

Probably one of the worst lip butters I've tried

I absolutely hated this product. I really wanted to like it since it was all natural and 95% organic but I didn't get ANY moisture from it at all. Usually, if I have a problem with lip balms or products it is because I have a reaction to it, and this lip butter did not give me any sort of reaction, which was good, but it didn't give me any moisture either! I felt like I was just putting a coat of wax or something on my lips and always felt like there was a heavy coat of product on without seeing any results. My lips felt dry even with the product on, and I just couldn't wait to use it up so I could throw it away. I tried to twist up the lip balm so I could see how much was left (granted, for the amount of times I had to apply this in a day, it lasted a really long time), and thankfully the spinny thing that propels the product up broke so I couldn't use it anymore. I was very happy to be throwing it away and will not buy this again. I haven't had much luck with the Yes to Carrots (and everything else) line.

  • Aveeno Essential Moisture Lip Conditioner with SPF 15

With just about every lip balm I try, initially I like it but the real test is if I like it about 2 weeks into using it daily. This lip balm failed for me. I usually trust Aveeno and like their lotions but I won't be buying this again. I might have just gotten a bad tube, but when the product is all bumpy in the tube and feels bad on my lips. It is alright at moisturizing. I feel like as soon as it rubs off, there is no moisture left on my lips. I was hoping that since this was from Aveeno, that the lip balm would replenish the moisture in my lips and would heal them better than other lip balms. Unfortunately, I think I am allergic to something in this product because within two days of using it, I start getting dry bumps all around my mouth. It might work for you, but it definitely did not work for me. However, even if I didn't have a reaction to this lip balm, it is just not moisturizing in my opinion.
