  • Rimmel London Rich Moisture Cream Lipstick

I got this in Diva red. It was indeed moisture rich, but it somehow got all over my face, which isn't a bonus. It's lovely and creamy, but I think it's very smudgey as a result. It came clean off in about 2 hours! Never mind the quality of the lipstick - the tube broke within two days and I couldn't screw the lipstick up and down anymore! A mediocre lipstick which could be prone to breaking... !

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil

    Don't bother with anything else.

I bought these in a set of 5 minis - I think it was called 'velvet rope.' It came with a black, white, mossy green, purpley pink, and brown. I was extremely impressed by the way they -literally- glide on! I hardly needed to apply any pressure to my eyelid, and the colour came out strong. I can leave a solid line or blend it to give a more smokey or soft look - they blend very well, but somehow don't smudge when you're wearing them! I love that they have tiny glitter particles, too. The colours are lovely on my eye and not too bright or tacky looking, and the white is great for opening up my eyes, although it budges a little when I apply it on my waterline. Bought individually, these eyeliners are indeed pricey, but MORE than worth it.

  • Maybelline New York Dream Mousse Blush

While I have tried multiple blushers (mum's, friends', etc), this is the only blush I have ever actually purchased. As it is a mousse, it gives my cheeks a moisturized dewy feel, and blends easily into the skin - I only have to use my fingers! It is easy to layer it on for a more defined look, or to spread it thinly for a subtle glow. It instantly lights up my complexion and adds a slight glittery layer. I have recieved many compliments for my glowing cheeks and think I will be repurchasing this when it runs out - who knows, I might even try a different colour! I actually enjoy the process of applying this blusher, it is so smooth. Thankyou, Maybelline - and only a few ££!

  • Avon GLIMMERSTICKS Lip Liner

I am quite disappointed with this and don't think I will wear it again. I got it in mauve. To be fair, it went on smoothly and I like the self sharpening feature, but it was very uneven and went a strange shade of purpley-blue where it was thicker.

  • Sephora Atomic Volume Mascara

    Sephora Atomic Volume Mascara

A lot better than most mascaras.

As Sephora is not available in England, I was very lucky to be able to purchase this mascara in Spain. At 15 euros it was expensive - but the minute I put it on my lashes I was surprised at how they looked instantly blacker, longer and fuller. I love how the brush is not too huge like some mascaras, yet it really delivers on volume. It grips my lashes well which avoids clumps, and I normally only use about 2 strokes on each eye to get a bold, gorgeous look. I usually cry whenever I laugh - and another plus is that my mascara never runs! I'm struggling to think of complaints about this mascara - but I would say that it perhaps cannot reach the great extremities of volume that some mascaras can. A worthy investment - it has lasted me for ages! (and I don't believe you can only keep mascaras for 3 months.)

    Benefit Miss Popularity

A great (but not amazing) subtle highlighter!

It's a white powder that gives a sheer shimmer. For me, the best thing about this product is that it makes visible improvements to your face without being overly noticeable. One thing I noticed in particular was that it was great for slimming my nose without making it look oddly glittery, and also looks great on the cupid's bow of my lips. Worth the rather high price tag? Perhaps not - but I could say the same for a multitude of designer cosmetics! It has lovely packaging like all benefit products, a useful guide to application, and really complements my features.

  • Benefit California Kissin' Lip Shine

I don't usually fork out this much on a gloss, but my mum had a benefit set which contained this - I used it a couple of times and I loved it, so I bought my own! Don't be put off by the blue shade. It gives a lovely cool glimmer to your lips, with tiny glitter particles and is simply gorgeous. The minty smell is not too overpowering and I personally love it. I didn't particularly notice any whitening but then again, I wasn't expecting any! My only possible complaint is that it's not very long wearing. I had to reapply it three times during the night - but you don't need to use very much for a lovely shine. It's not sticky nor gooey, and I love it so much that I only use it on special occasions!
