  • Paula's Choice Polished to Perfection Nail Lacquer

Paula's Choice Polished to Perfection Nail Lacquer is a really good nail polish! I first tried it when the summer started. I wanted to buy a really intence summer color, but nothing too bright like bright green or yellow or orange. While I was shopping I found this really nice nail polish, and bought the color No396 . It is a dark fuchsia color which really suited my tastes when it comes to nail polish! Well, I was amazed with the price, since it is really affordable! As every polish, it looks kind of darker when in the small bottle, but with 2-3 layers you get really close to the actual color. Either way, even the slightly lighter shade is really nice, cause it isnt really bright but it is really beautiful and summerly!

  • Clinique Line Smoothing Concealer

What can I say? This concealer, Clinique line smoothing concealer is all I was searching for! Im sure that there are also other concealers as good as this, but since i found the one that works for me why look somewhere else! What I really love about products is their looks, and this one has it! I has a clean, sleek look as most Clinique products and can be carried easily everywhere! That is because it is small and cannot break easily, and since i am on the way most of the time I know it when a product can stand the pressure of being carried in a bag all the time! The product has a perfect application and soothes any complexion. As with most concealer products, it does the job that you want it to do without any perks- its just a reliable product and thats it. The concealer is medium coverage but you can build it nicely to cover blemishes without creasing and cakiness. I like to apply this with my fingers to help it melt into the skin nicely as I do not find that is applies very well with a brush though a sponge works too. This is the best concealer I've found so far for the job, as many of the solid pot concealers like MAC Studio Finish go on way too thick and cakey while thinner, liquidy concealers don't offer enough coverage. I have yet to experience any of the caking or line-accentuation that so many other people have with this product. With that being said, if you try to use this product completely by itself with no setting powder, it will not be effective. I use it in combination with Kat Von D tattoo concealer and Clinique translucent loose powder. First, I apply a layer of the Kat Von D concealer (something else that isn't particularly good on its own), dust a tiny bit of powder over it, then apply this concealer. Lastly, I use a fluffy brush to dust on a layer of translucent setting powder and the concealer stays put for hours. I will continue to purchase this product for as long as it's available cause im completely satisfied!

  • Bourjois Pump Up The Volume Mascara

Well, the mascara says : “A truly uplifting experience, rain or shine. This silicone rich formula pumps up your lashes in any weather, instantly volumizing and uplifting. While a combination of microbeads with carnuba wax act as a natural raincoat for your lashes. The double-fiber brush thickens right to the tips for fuller, darker looking lashes that never get left out in the rain.” I bought the purple one, and I have to say I dont agree with all those features that makes it such a perfect product. Lets start positively, it really is waterproof, I mean you can swim, take a bath and it will stay there. It is in fact, true. You can literally go swimming with this mascara and it will hold up. So that’s great! I am also excited with the skinny brush! I didn’t receive THAT much volume from this mascara. I mean, it was just okay. What really gave me MORE volume was the primer that I used. I tried using it with other mascaras and it was still just, “eh”. I imagine this mascara would be great for those who already have long and full lashes and just want to take them a step up. Also, I know that it may sound funny to some of you out there, but Ive literally tried more than twenty different mascaras and I tell you that something I really disliked about this one was the smell! It was really heavy, you can smell the chemicals and it is so intense that it gives the intention your eyelashes will bend from its heavy texture! I personally love light texture products, so it was just not my style. Would I purchase again? No, I don’t think so. But I’m open to trying more mascaras from Bourjois Cosmetics, since Ive heard good words about other products of this company.

  • Korres Natural Products Raspberry Liquid Lipstick

I bought a bunch of korres products and they gave me this as a gift. Looking at it, it has a really slim, neat looking minimalistic look which I really liked, looks really sleek and cute! It is a water based formula, and in my opinion water based beauty products should be preferable. It says that it gives and intense color, it has a creamy texture and it is long-lasting. It actually has a creamy texture and feels hydrating when applying like most of Korres products. After some research, I found out that it is antioxidant that protect against free-radical damage and in turn aging. It has Acai Palm Pulp Oil, which moisturizes and soothes the lips creating a long-lasting creamy texture. They say it is a liquid but it is more like a gloss – in application, shine and texture. I love them thoroughly though I wish they could stay on longer. The staying power is around 3-4 hours though the manufacture says these are long lasting. They survived a meal in the sense after the meal, they left a tint on the lips and the tint stayed on for long. The texture is ultra smooth, water based and shiny. It feels ultra light on the lips and very thin. So don’t expect them to give you a heavy pout. Also the fact that they are parabens, phthalates free is the best thing! Also, no lipgloss is needed on top and it feels light, it isn't sticky at all! Again, note that it does not contain: - Parabens - Sulfates - Synthetic Fragrances - Phthalates - GMOs - Triclosan The color does not bleed at all. I didn’t even feel the need of applying a liner as the color could stay easily. Though it showed on my teeth couple a times but I guess that’s the case with many non-sticky glosses. So I would totally recommend this to anyone, I simply love it and Im sure you will love it too!

  • Maybelline New York Full 'N Soft Washable Mascara

That was a review given to me by my bestfriend! had seen a review of this on Essalytee's Youtube channel as part of her MMM series. As a fellow Asian woman, I take her opinions to heart because of the cursed short and stubby Asian lashes trait that 97% of Asian women share. The performance of the mascara in the video was exactly what I was looking for. It gave a really natural lash look (more of a my lashes but better) and it has this uncanny ability to make your lashes look like they don't have mascara on, but that they are just naturally sort of beautiful. I was excited to try it out, and when I did, I was not disappointed. This is probably one of my favorite mascaras now. At first the name Full n' Soft can be deceiving, because you think, "Oh, soft, probably won't be able to hold my curl." I actually got that sort of vibe from the name for some reason. Nonetheless this is great for people with all lash types.

  • Clinique Superbalanced Powder Makeup SPF 15

Clinique's superbalanced powder makeup is surely one of the best powders I have ever used. Personally, I am a powder-lover, and I mostly like the ones that do some work that liquid makeup would do. This one? Just great. First things first, the whole appearance of the product looks clean and it has two mirrors, one on the outside and a better on the inside. It's kind of different when it comes to it's use, you have to turn the dial clockwise to release the powder. I personally find it less messy and a great way for application, but this is on your taste. Also, it contains a little brush that does the work but you can use your professional powder application tools if that suits you best. I personally find it really comfy, especially when i want to carry the powder with me on a date or somewhere, but sometimes i use my application tools too. It is also really secure 'cause, trust me, i've been carrying it around in my bag for hours and hours, especially on my trips and it never opened or broke. Its price is just above average but I think it's worth it. When it comes to the product: it has sun protection, SPF 15 (but always wear sunscreen too, trust me) and the application is beautiful. I personally have fair, oily skin and it takes the oilyness away, plus the color natural 2 suited me fine while usually it's too dark for me. It gives a smooth look and as I know from a friend who has sensitive skin, the product is gently on more delicate skin types. As it comes to coverage, Im purely satisfied cause it has a medium+ coverage which I appreciate a lot. Of course, as every powder you might need a touch up every two hours or so, highly depends on where you are. It's quality is above good and it contains a generous amount of the product in it, you will not be unsatisfied about how long will you have it before you have to buy a new one! I totally recommend it to all of you, and of course choose your color wisely, something that suits your complexion, something just a tone lighter than your skin's.

  • Maybelline New York Intense XXL Volume & Length Washable Microfiber Mascara

The particular product could be described as a mediocre quality mascara. First of all, it's quite affordable and it has two sides, the one side contains a white extension gel and the other one is the mascara. It's pros would be that: -It won't create balls of mascara on the eyelashes if used properly - The extension gel actually works - It will absolutely make your lashes appear longer, thicker and fuller, mostly thicker. -The price is ok Now, some cons: -It's not even close to the best mascara I've ever used - sometimes the coverage of the white gel is not perfect -When the mascara is almost empty, you still have plenty of gel, which is kinda not good because in my opinion when you use the extension gel of a product it should go along with the appropriate mascara -It doesnt contain a generous amount of product in it So, to sum up, i think that this mascara is nothing more than average, ofcourse someone has to test it on their eyelashes to see how it fits to them, but still Im sure you could always find something better, affordable, even from the same company.

  • Manic Panic Pressed Powder Compact
    9.0

    Manic Panic Pressed Powder Compact

    Manic Panic Pressed Powder

There is a sponge for better application beneath the powder. As it claims, it is made for a very light skin complexion. It's a two-way foundation, can be applied with water or dry and its quality is quite good actually! The particular powder is called "Mystique" and it's one shade before white. On the one side it is cruelty-free and im mostly satisfied but I have to admit that the only reason I chose Manic Panic is because I wanted something really pale, which was not what I found. I have a fair- medium skin complexion and it suits fine, it keeps oilyness away (my skin is oily) but I would like to see a kind-of paler result on my face. To sum up, If you have a fair or fair-medium complexion, it will be a good powder but will absolutely not make you paler. If you want a powder to make your skin look paler I would suggest Manic Panic creature of the night Spectral or Manic Panic Virgin. They may look really light but in a combination with your natural skin color you will have a beautiful pale-flesh result! Again, if you have an olive or darker complexion I would highly suggest Manic Panic creature of the night French Vanilla Twist or Manic Panic creature of the night Hotta Chocolatta!
